Smoking behavior in adolescents is still very concerning as it becomes a detrimental habit that isconsidered common by several teenagers around the world. Health education is an effort to supportbehavior changes in adolescents, including in changing their smoking behavior. This study aimed todetermine the effectiveness of poster media on increasing knowledge and decreasing smoking behavioramong high school students in Banda Aceh. This quantitative study used a quasi-experimental design withone group pre-test and post-test design involving 106 respondents. The intervention program to providehealth education using the poster as a media was carried out for 3 weeks. The effect of the intervention onparticipants was assessed using a questionnaire and processed using the SPSS program. The resultsshowed that the use of posters was increasing the mean score of students' knowledge about the dangers ofsmoking (pre-test x ̅ = 15.57 and post-test x ̅ = 16.80, p-value = 0.000) and decreased behavior bad behaviorby 68.9%. About 28.3% bad behavior and 31.1% good behavior were changing into 71.7% good behavior. This means that there is a difference between the mean pre-test and post-test on smoking behavior (themean pre-test is 27.226 and the mean post-test is 33.679), with p-value = 0.000 <ɑ = 0.05. This indicatesthat health promotion using posters is effective and can be applied to increase knowledge and decreasesmoking behavior in high school students of Banda Aceh. Keywords: Health Education, Poster, Knowledge, Smoking Behavior

Abstract

OR clinical factors OR influencing factors AND placenta accreta OR increta OR percreta OR adherent placenta OR invasive placenta.

Abstract

Postpartum hemorrhage is a leading complication, causing approximately 75% of maternal deaths. Placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) is characterized by the abnormal invasion of placental trophoblasts into the uterine myometrium, increasing the risk of severe hemorrhage. Globally, PAS incidence has risen, ranging from 0.2% to 0.9% of all pregnancies, primarily due to the increasing number of cesarean deliveries. Other maternal outcomes can also occur in mothers with PAS cases. Objective: this systematic review aims to describe maternal outcomes in deliveries involving PAS. Method: this systematic review study uses the PRISMA guidelines for literature search through databases, including ScienceDirect, ProQuest, Wiley, and Taylor and Francis, focusing on cohort and case-control studies. Thirteen articles in English published between 2019–2024 were analyzed, with 2,455 for total samples. Results: the study identified maternal outcomes, including hemorrhage, organ injury, infections, thromboembolism, vesicovaginal fistula, intensive care admission, and maternal death, with hemorrhage being the most significant complication. Recommendation: Optimal PAS management requires a combination of technology-based strategies, multidisciplinary collaboration, and well-planned interventions to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality.

Abstract

The number of Diabetes Mellitus (DM) survivor were continuously increasing, especially among the elder population. This study aims to identify any factors associated with self-care activities in the elder with DM, also the relationship between knowledge, self-efficacy, and family support to the self-care activities in such population. The data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS for univariate, bivariate (Pearson), and multivariate (logistic regression) techniques. The results indicate that there was a relationship between knowledge and self-care activities in the elder with DM (0.000 0.05), and there was no relationship between self-efficacy and self-care activities (0.824 0.05). Moreover, a significant relationship showed between knowledge and self-care activities (0.000 0.05), and based on the linear regression test results, this research concluded that family support (0.000 0.05) become the most decisive factor and influence on self-care activities in the elder with diabetes mellitus in Bener Meriah
