Abstract

School readiness has emerged as one of pressing issues within the context of educational-focused community outreach. Preschool students often have short attention spans and this affects their learning readiness at the elementary level. This issue warrants further intervention and by involving preschool students at TK Tunas Sawo, Sambikerep District, Surabaya, this community outreach program aimed to enhance preschool students’ attention spans. This study developed the Jungle Treasure Hunt Board Game as an intervention tool by combining play-based methods, storytelling, and token economy techniques to 4 preschool students in two consecutive sessions. The processes of community outreach followed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). In the initial phase, a series of interviews and observations is conducted to assess students and to obtain basic information for the board game development. In the following phase, we worked with students to play board games. What follows is the post-intervention phase, where we conducted evaluation and determined the further action plans. The results showed that the preschool students demonstrated their ability to maintain their attention spans. At the end of the program, the stakeholders and psychologists validated and recommended this board game as an alternative educational tool for maintaining preschool students’ attention spans.

Abstract

Sit ups are a type of strength exercise that functions to strengthen muscles. Sit up movements are usually calculated manually, but as technology develops, it is necessary to innovate to build a digital technology-based sit up movement counting tool. The goal is to provide a sit up instrument that is able to accurately calculate the number of sit ups that have been done. The tool is made based on digital technology using the internet of things (IoT). In making this tool, the author uses 2 LDR sensor modules and 2 KY008 laser sensors installed to detect the shoulder. If one of the light sensors in the form of an LDR module is not disconnected from the light displayed by the laser sensor, then the series of sit up counting tools with this application will not calculate the sit up acquisition. The sit up counter tool will calculate if the sit up position is perfect and cut off the laser light, it will send the results of the sit up to the MySQL database which will later be displayed in the web server. This tool is easy to use and portable or easy to move. The way this tool works is quite easy, the user only needs to choose the type of exercise needed, then the tool will calculate the movements done and the user just needs to lie on the side of the tool and prepare to do the display according to the activity to be done. Then the tool will calculate automatically and will enter the website data.

Abstract

Background (General): Islamic banks play a crucial role in Indonesia’s financial system, with murabahah financing serving as a primary income source. Background (Specific): While murabahah margins are fixed and independent of interest rate fluctuations, macroeconomic variables such as interest rates and inflation may still indirectly affect bank profitability. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies largely focused on annual pre-pandemic data, overlooking quarterly dynamics during the post-pandemic period, when monetary and market conditions changed significantly. Aim: This study examines the effects of murabahah financing, interest rates, and inflation on murabahah margin income in Indonesian Islamic banks during 2020–2024 using quarterly data. Results: Multiple regression analysis of 30 observations from six banks shows murabahah financing has a significant positive effect on margin income, whereas interest rates and inflation show no significant individual impact. Jointly, all three variables significantly influence margin income. Novelty: The research introduces a post-pandemic, quarterly dataset and simultaneously tests three key financial and macroeconomic variables in the murabahah context. Implications: Findings affirm the strategic importance of murabahah financing as a stable revenue driver, suggesting Islamic banks should prioritize financing expansion and operational efficiency over short-term macroeconomic fluctuations when formulating pricing and portfolio strategies.Highlight : Murabahah financing has a significant positive effect on margin income. Interest rates and inflation have no partial effect. All three variables have a simultaneous significant effect.
