Abstract

The Integration of information and Communication Technology (ICT) has been expanding rapidly now day. So does in learning English, especially in Cross Culture Understanding course. This study encompassed on students’ experiences on using google classroom. This research categorized as qualitative descriptive method since the researcher attempted systematically to describe a situation, problem, phenomenon about implementation of Google classroom application. The finding showed easy to acces; allows students to submit assignments electronically, which can be convenient and reduce the need for physical paperwork; Students can interact with their teachers and peers through announcements, comments, and class discussions. This feature helps maintain a sense of community and engagement in the virtual classroom. On the other hand, there are some problems also such as bad internet connection, difficult to submit assignment on time, and sufficient storage to run.

Abstract

Learning English from an early age is the main foundation in developing language skills. Learning English can be presented with games that attract children’s attention, such as crossword puzzles. Crossword puzzle is a game that supports learning by filling in the answers in the box column with the letters according to the questions to be able to sharpen the students’ brains. The purpose of this community service was to improve the English vocabulary of Teupin Jueu's children with crossword puzzles. The target of the service activities were children who live in Gampong Teupin Jeue which is one of the remote villages in the Batee District, Pidie Regency. The English learning training was held on January 4, 2021. The results of this activity indicated that it can motivate children to learn English, change the mindset of parents that learning English is important, increase English vocabulary and enhance their ability to pronounce vocabulary correctly.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kecanduan game sering ditandai dengan ketidakmampuan diri untuk mengendalikan keinginan bermain, sehingga susah atau tidak mampu menghentikan perilaku tersebut terlepas dari segala cara yang dilakukan untuk berhenti. Remaja dianggap lebih rentan kecanduan gamedari pada orang dewasa. Periode ketidakstabilan menjadikan remaja cenderung mudah terjerumus terhadap percobaan hal-hal yang dianggap baru. Fenomena kecanduan game online ini semakin meluas dan memprihatinkan, karena banyaknya remaja yang menjadi pecandu game online. Kenyataannya di Desa Linggong Sagoe saat ini tidak pernah para remaja mendapatkan edukasi mengenai dampak buruk dari kecanduan game online.Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengedukasi remaja tentang pencegahan perilaku kecanduan game online guna meningkatkan kesehatan mental. Pengabdian ini merupakan hibah Direktorat  Penelitian Dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat KEMDIKTISAINTEK skema pemberdayaan berbasis masyarakat dengan ruang lingkup pengabdian masyarakat pemula pendanaan tahun 2025. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pemberian materi dengan cara ceramah, diskusi, simulasi dan tanya jawab. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan pada hari Sabtu 12 Juli 2025 di meunasah desa Linggong Sagoe kecamatan Simpang Tiga Kabupaten Pidie. Peserta yang hadir dalam pengabdian ini sebanyak 35 orang peserta dari kelompok mitra, kader, dan perangkat desa. Pada tahap pertama kegiatan dilakukan dengan penyampaian materioleh ketua tim tentang dampak perilaku kecanduan game online, faktor pemicu dan pencegahannya. Materi disampaikan denganmedia power point. Di akhir penyampaianmateri dilakukan diskusi dan tanya jawab dengan peserta. Tahap kedua adalah edukasi solusi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran mental kesehatan remaja dalam mencegah kecanduan game online dan simulasi penggunaan modul interaktif serta media WhatsApp Group untuk literasi digital.  Kata Kunci: Kesehatan Mental, Remaja, Kecanduan Game Online     ABSTRACT Game addiction is often characterized by an inability to control the urge to play, making it difficult or impossible to stop the behavior despite all efforts to stop. Adolescents are considered more vulnerable to game addiction than adults. This period of instability makes adolescents more likely to fall into experimenting with things they consider new. The phenomenon of online game addiction is increasingly widespread and concerning, because many adolescents are addicted to online games. In fact, in Linggong Sagoe Village, adolescents have never received education about the negative impacts of online game addiction. The purpose of this community service is to educate adolescents about preventing online game addiction behavior in order to improve mental health. Research and Community Service, Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, community-based empowerment scheme with the scope of community service for beginners, funding in 2025. The methods used in this activity are providing material through lectures, discussions, simulations, and questions and answers. The community service program was held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the meunasah of Linggong Sagoe Village, Simpang Tiga District, Pidie Regency. 35 participants attended this service, consisting of partner groups, cadres, and village officials. In the first stage of the activity, the team leader delivered material about the impact of online game addiction behavior, triggers, and prevention. The material was delivered using PowerPoint. At the end of the presentation, a discussion and Q&A session with participants was held. The second phase included educational solutions to raise awareness of adolescent mental health and prevent online gaming addiction, as well as a simulation of using interactive modules and WhatsApp groups for digital literacy.Keywords: Mental Health, Teenagers, Online Game Addiction

Abstract

This study aimed to compare the motivation in learning English between boarding and non-boarding school students. It was focus on two types of motivation, namely intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. This study was qualitative in nature with data collection techniques in the form of Likert scale questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The participants consisted of 30 students, 15 boarding school students and 15 non-boarding school students respectively at the junior high school level. The finding showed that boarding school students tended to have higher levels of intrinsic motivation, especially in terms of interest and enjoyment in learning English. In contrast, non-boarding school students were more influenced by extrinsic factors such as encouragement from parents and teachers. Furthermore boarding students felt the boarding environment supported discipline and learning focus, while non-boarding students felt more influence from family and home environment. Thus, different learning environments between boarding and non-boarding schools had an influence on the tendency of students' types of learning motivation in English; boarding students were more driven by intrinsic motivation, while non-boarding students were more affected by extrinsic factors.

Abstract

Program Sekolah Penggerak (PSP), yang diinisiasi oleh Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemendikbudristek), secara serentak diterapkan secara bertahap mulai tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Setiap sekolah Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD), baik negeri maupun swasta di bawah naungan Kemendikbudristek, secara bersama-sama menyusun Kurikulum Operasional Sekolah (KOSP). Mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini sekolah penggerak jenjang pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) yaitu TK Swasta Islam Terpadu Al-Hikmah, TK Swasta Bhayangkari, TK Swasta Mutuah Miko, TK Swasta IT Tazkia, Tk IT Mahabbah Al-Qur An, dan TK N Pembina Kutacane. Mitra menghadapi masalah kurangnya pengetahuan tentang panduan penyusunan KOSP menggunakan pedoman pengembangan kurikulum merdeka. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas KOSP sesuai dengan unsur-unsur kurikulum merdeka. Pendekatan yang digunakan mencakup pendampingan daring maupun luring terhadap sekolah mitra. Hasilnya melahirkan dokumen KOSP sesuai pedoman kurikulum merdeka.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru PAUD dalam mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan pembelajaran berbasis karakter melalui kegiatan workshop. Sasaran program adalah 15 guru PAUD di Aceh Tengah yaitu TK Swasta Islam Terpadu Al-Hikmah, TK Swasta Bhayangkari, TK Swasta Mutuah Miko, TK Swasta It Tazkia dan Tk IT Mahabbah Al-Qur An. Program dilaksanakan melalui empat tahapan sistematis yang meliputi: tahap persiapan yang mencakup koordinasi dengan stakeholders dan analisis kebutuhan; tahap implementasi workshop yang terdiri dari sesi konsep dasar, pengembangan model, dan simulasi pembelajaran; tahap pendampingan melalui kunjungan kelas dan konsultasi online; serta tahap evaluasi untuk mengukur efektivitas program. Hasil program menunjukkan capaian yang signifikan, ditandai dengan peningkatan pemahaman guru tentang konsep pendidikan karakter dari 65% menjadi 87%, terciptanya 15 RPP berbasis karakter yang berkualitas, terbentuknya komunitas guru PAUD peduli karakter sebagai wadah pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan, dan terbangunnya kemitraan yang berkelanjutan dengan Dinas Pendidikan. Program ini memberikan kontribusi yang bermakna dalam pengembangan profesionalisme guru PAUD dan penguatan pendidikan karakter di tingkat usia dini yang diharapkan dapat menjadi model pengembangan program serupa di wilayah lain.
