Abstract

Dian Rennuati is a doctor and poet from Palembang. Dian is known to have a style of language (stylistic) which is very beautiful from the point of women. The poem under study entitled "Perempuan Selalu Ingat". The problem examined in this study is how the stylistic style of the poem "Perempuan Selalu Ingat” and the relevancies of poem “Perempuan Selalu Ingat” by Dian Rennuati as bahasa Indonesia teaching materials in high school. Therefore, this study aims to uncover the style of stylistics in the poem. This research is a type of library research using descriptive method. Based on research found five aspects of stylistics in poetry, namely diction, real words (concrete, denotative), images (images) majas (figuratively), rhythm and rhyme. Based on research that has been done, found the use of these five aspects. There is relevance poem as bahasa Indonesia learning materials in high school

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how the ecological elements in the folklore Hikayat Pak and Mak Siti and what meaning can students learn from this folk tale. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with analytical method through objective approach. While the approach used is an interdisciplinary approach because it analyzes the contents of the story by using other theories such as ecocritical and folklore theories. The results obtained in this folklore contain four things related to eco-criticism, namely elements of wilderness, places to live, animals, and the earth. Meanwhile, ecological messages that can be conveyed to students are: (a) maintaining forest sustainability as part of an ecosystem which is important for life. (b) protecting animals and looking after animals that are almost extinct, such as tigers. (c) caring for God’s fellow creatures, such as plants, animals, water, air and others. (d) maintaining cleanliness, order, and the beauty of the environment for the sake of mutual comfort. Meanwhile, from the message of this story, it can be concluded that students have several attitudes, namely (a) being consistent in the truth, honest, trustworthy, and can be trusted by others, (b) may not be detrimental to others for personal gain, (c) even though children have more control over technology, parents must still accompany their children, (d) students must prepare themselves with various knowledge and skills to become leaders in the future, (e) must not be arrogant and must continue to want to learn from the surrounding environment, (f) Religious leaders must be sincere and willing to guide their people towards goodness.

Abstract

These rapid changes did not give opportunities to EFL teachers to optimize their knowledge, mindset, commitment, and competences they had such as pedagogic, personal, social, and professional. When the majority of EFL teachers had not mastered yet how to implement the current curriculum at Senior High School’s (SHS’s) in South Sumatera, Palembang City, the new curriculum came. Thus, the implementation of the IKM at SHS’s in South Sumatera Palembang City varied. Some schools implemented the IKM only to class X, and Kl3 class XI and XII, and to class X, XI and XII. This situation indicated that there was a variation of readiness of EFL teachers in implementing the IKM. The result of the research showed that EFL teachers who became the participants of this research had not shown their readiness yet to implement the IKM following the national education standard. In other words, they remained in the contemplation stage (getting ready) in which EFL teachers in South Sumatera intend to change. They are still trying to implement the IKM properly in line with the national education standard. Thus, the result of this research can be used as a reference to improve EFL teachers’ competencies that affects the students’ competencies improvement.

Abstract

This study investigates whether an integrated Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) and digital literacy sequence enhances pre-service Indonesian Language (PIL) teachers’ communicative competences and how they perceive and adapt the model under classroom constraints. Using an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design, researchers first conducted a quantitative pre–post evaluation with 25 PIL participants enrolled in an Indonesian Language Education program. Communicative performance was assessed through parallel speaking, writing, and multimodal tasks rated on four analytic dimensions—linguistic, pragmatic, discourse, and strategic—supplemented by a multimodal criterion. Descriptive statistics indicated overall gains to a proficient band, with discourse and strategic competences displaying the highest central tendency and the narrowest dispersion. Linguistic and pragmatic competences improved but showed wider between-learner variance, suggesting uneven consolidation of affixes, pronouns, particles, and register-appropriate choices. The qualitative follow-up (observations, interviews) explained these patterns: the pre-task → task → post-task cycle, combined with purpose-bound digital supports, stabilized interactional routines, made discourse organization visible, and prompted targeted focus-on-form. Participants adapted to assessment pressure, class size, and technology access through role rotation, offline-first drafting, low-bandwidth alternatives (audio + transcript), and a standardized “core trio” of tools, which reduced cognitive load and widened equitable participation.

Abstract

Artikel ini melaporkan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian berupa pelatihan mengubah teks anekdot menjadi komik strip pada siswa kelas X MA Patra Mandiri. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan penguasaan literasi visual dan keterampilan berbahasa siswa. Penggunaan media komik strip dalam kegiatan ini memberikan pengalaman belajar yang kreatif, menyenangkan, dan relevan dengan perkembangan digital siswa. Artikel ini menguraikan pelaksanaan kegiatan, mulai dari penyampaian materi, praktik pembuatan komik strip, manfaat media komik, serta tantangan yang dihadapi guru dan siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa siswa sangat antusias, terlibat aktif, dan mampu menghasilkan karya komik strip yang kreatif, sehingga meningkatkan pemahaman, kreativitas, dan kemampuan representasi visual mereka. Artikel ini diharapkan menjadi referensi bagi pendidik yang ingin mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran inovatif.
