Abstract

Abstract Geographic proximity to similar enterprises has become one of SMEs strategy in order to enhance their market. The proximity is usually called agglomeration or cluster industry. Hence, the aim of this paper is to measure performance of SMEs agglomeration. Performance measurement framework is designed using BSC with four perspective of measurement, thus are social, environment, financial, and internalbusiness processes. The assessment is executed using AHP which is presented based on the designed BSC framework. The measure is applied to an area in Malang city named Sanan which consist of SMEs produce and sell product relate to Keripik Tempe. The study reveals that agglomeration is success to increase all the cluster performance. The cluster performance is good with 75,70% achievement of their key performance indicator. Based on each perspective, the best performance achieve by social aspect that is 78,07% of the target, and the lowest one is economic aspect with 70,42% achievement.

Abstract

Krebet Baru I Sugar Factory is a producer of sugar that operate on the milling season that start from June until November 2015. The problem that occured in the Krebet Baru I were ineffectively and inefficiently spare parts inventory policy that cause stockout and led to production process stoppage. This research used FNS analysis for the classification spare parts and EOQ Probabilistic method for calculation of stockout probability, optimum Q and ROP,  total cost, also service level which were would be compared with existing policy. The research resulted that 44 types of spare parts categorized as urgent, 8 types else categorized as critical. EOQ Probabilistic method was chosen as the best method of control policy, with total cost reduction  by 12%-93% and service level increase by 995-100% than existing policy which resulted a total cost by Rp 5.004.890 – Rp 142.647.057 and service level by 0%-30%.

Abstract

Milkfish is an aquaculture product and has a role in supporting food security and nutrition in Indonesia. The reliability of milkfish farming will be able to increase the income of small and medium-scale farmers. Milkfish farmers in SMEs level experience problem of declining prices in the period of oversupply in farming. Moreover, the profit earning by the farmers tend to decrease time to time. This research was mapping the structure of milkfish downstream supply chain using system dynamic simulation. The first step in mapping process was identifying the actors in the milkfish downstream supply chain. The next stage was defining activities and variables that affect supply chain milkfish profit. The activities and variables were used to develop a causal loop diagram (CLD). Furthermore, stock and flow diagram was constructed based on CLD and used as system dynamic simulator of milkfish supply chain. The result of system dynamic simulation showed the profit obtained by each actor in milkfish supply chain and a total profit of the entire supply chain. The profit, gained by supply chain in the current configuration, during the period 2016-2020, is Rp72.615.608.004,00. According to the simulation result, the proposed scenario will be able to increase the profit of supply chain up to 27,58%.

Abstract

One product that has a short life cycle is a fashion products where the consumer desires can influence the company's decision to develop the product. Batik is one of Indonesian local wisdom, which not all of batik in Indonesia has a high popularity, such as Batik Malangan. Kansei Engineering method used in this study to identify the implicit desire of users in the form of feeling, emotion, or perception when interacting with Batik Malangan. By implementing the procedures Kansei Engineering Type I, there are 30 words that appear using 14 stimulants of Batik Malangan. Statistical data analysis performed using multivariate analysis. The most important kansei words chosen by using Factor Analysis and Principal Component Analysis. In this study, a total of 61 respondents who are citizens of Malang and from outside Malang participated. For customers, the main attraction at the Batik Malangan is the motive, whether the primary motive, secondary motive, nor the isen motive. Until now, Batik Malangan’s motive not yet have a characteristic, so it is less well known by customers. Overall, this study contributes to that Kansei Engineering is a method that can be used to capture the feeling of customers mainly on customized products. With so many product variations based on local wisdom should be able to be developed by actually capturing the customer's desire, not only explicit but also implicit.

Abstract

Clungup is an area in Malang, East Java, which has good coastal and mangrove resources. It tends to be a potential tourism and has the opportunity as a tourist area. Readiness of managers and the surrounding community to manage the existing coastal resources is another reason. The combination of management, government and community and coastal resources, became the focus of this research using Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) analysis generated from RapTourism (Rapid Appraisal for Tourism) approach. The sustainability of resource management as an asset from tourism through three dimensional approaches, namely ecological, social, and management dimension. Rainfall, mangrove species diversity, community knowledge level of resources, community dependence on the region, interaction level between manager and stakeholders as the most sensitive attributes. Monte Carlo analysis shows that the ecological and management dimension are in stable stage, while for the social dimension is quite stable because it is very vulnerable to change. This study proposes four recommendations to maintain the sustainability of the tourism area in Clungup Beach. The recommendations include the regulations to manage the exploitation of coastal areas, an adequate infrastructure to support the safety of tourists, develop environmentally friendly tourism activities, and strict regulations in expanding tourism in the areas.

Abstract

Milkfish is common aquaculture product consumed by Indonesian people. However, the ponds of milkfish in Indonesia manage by Small Medium Enterprises scale of farmers which have problems in sustaining the business. This study proposes supply chain analysis in the upstream level to develop strategic to improve the profit of milkfish farmers. Milkfish supply chain is a network of many actors that work together to create and deliver milkfish and its culinary products to the end-user. This paper defines the partnership strategies between the farmers and suppliers as well as the support from government as facilitator and regulator. Moreover, system dynamic approach analyses the scenarios of partnership to outline the benefit obtain by the milkfish supply chain. Finally, the simulation results recommend the partnership to fertilizer supplier will give significant increase in profit of the milkfish farmers.
