Abstract

This study aims to determine how the storyteller's skills are in conveying stories to early childhood and what are the obstacles for storytellers in improving storytelling skills in early childhood at the Rumah Baca Aneuk Nanggroe Kindergarten. This study uses a qualitative research method. The data collection method uses observation, interview and documentation techniques. The subjects in this study were 2 storytellers at the Rumah Baca Aneuk Nanggroe Kindergarten. The results of this study indicate that storytellers only master 2 of the 6 skills that should be implemented when carrying out storytelling activities. Storytellers at the Rumah Baca Aneuk Nanggroe Kindergarten also face obstacles in improving their skills, especially in terms of their minimal experience and having never participated in various storytelling training either from schools or from other elements

Abstract

Abstrak Perpustakaan Sekolah MAN 3 Kota Banda Aceh sudah melaksanakan program duta baca sejak 2015, namun belum pernah diadakan evaluasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan program duta baca di Perpustakaan sekolah MAN 3 Kota Banda Aceh dengan model CIPPO. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini wawancara dilakukan bersama dua orang pengelola perpustakaan dan 2 orang siswa/siswi yang menjadi duta di Sekolah MAN 3 Kota Banda Aceh. Model evaluasi yang dipilih yaitu CIPPO, dalam model ini peneliti membagi evaluasi program duta baca ke dalam lima point: Context, Input, Process, Product dan Outcome. Analisis data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan Reduksi data yaitu proses seleksi dan penyederhanaan data mentah yang dikumpulkan selama penelitian, dengan fokus pada data yang relevan sesuai konsep, masalah, dan metode penelitian. Data yang penting dirangkum dan disusun dalam bentuk naratif agar mudah dipahami dan dievaluasi. Dari hasil penelitian di Perpustakaan MAN 3 Kota Banda Aceh menunjukkan bahwa point terendah terdapat pada tahap Input dan Process dimana komponen keberhasilannya masih banyak yang belum terpenuhi. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa beberapa komponen masih perlu diperbaiki dan dilengkapi demi tercapainya tujuan diadakannya program tersebut.   Kata kunci: Duta Baca, Perpustakaan, CIPPO, MAN 3 Banda Aceh   Abstract The MAN 3 School Library in Banda Aceh has been implementing the reading ambassador program since 2015. but no evaluation has ever been conducted. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the reading ambassador program at the MAN 3 School Library in Banda Aceh using the CIPPO model. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection through interviews and document analysis. In this study, interviews were conducted with two library teenagers and two students who had previously been reading ambassadors. The chosen evaluation model is CIPPO, which divides the evaluation of the reading ambassador program into five points: Context, Input, Process, Product, and Outcome. Data analysis in this study carried out using data reduction, which is the process of selecting and simplifying raw data collected during the research, focusing on relevant data according to the research concept, issues, and methods. Important data is summarized and presented in a narrative form to be easily understood and evaluated. The results of the study at the MAN 3 Banda Aceh library show that the lowest point is found in the Input and Process stages, where many of the success components are still not fulfilled. Therefore, it can be concluded that several components still need to be improved and completed in order to achieve the objectives of the program. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of librarian strategies in enhancing students’ reading habits at SD Negeri 33 Banda Aceh. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of one librarian and twelve students selected through purposive sampling. The findings reveal that the librarian implemented various strategies, including routine library visits, provision of updated book collections, creation of a conducive reading environment, a 15-minute literacy program, a mobile reading cart, and classroom reading corners. Students generally responded positively to these strategies, although some expressed the need for more engaging book selections. The primary challenge identified was the limited number of library staff, which affected program consistency and book variety. Overall, the strategies demonstrated a positive impact, though further support and development are necessary to optimize their effectiveness.
