Abstract

Religious practices and community social interactions give birth to many events that have different meanings for each person. Revealing the hidden meaning of an event, especially from the perspective of the person experiencing it, can be done with a phenomenological approach. The purpose of this research is to explain the contribution of Husserl's phenomenological approach to the development of Islamic da'wah.. This research is a literature research on Husserl's phenomenological concept and how to apply it in da'wah. Data were collected from various documents related to the main topic, both from print and electronic sources. Miles & Huberman's qualitative interactive analysis was used to analyze the data through the stages of data presentation, data reduction, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that basically phenomenological studies attempt to find the meaning or value of a phenomenon with two main things in focus, namely textural description and structural description. Textural description is about what is experienced, while structural description is related to how the context influences the subject in experiencing and interpreting the phenomenon. Husserl's phenomenological approach is one of the right approaches in examining social and religious phenomena and then conveying the content of da'wah in accordance with existing phenomena in the perspective of Islamic teachings so as to provide a holistic understanding of the phenomenon.

Abstract

Sheikh Ahmad Mutamakkin was a prominent Islamic scholar who played a significant role in spreading Sufism in the northern coastal region of Central Java, particularly in Pati. This study aims to explore how the concept of "Living Sufism" is manifested through the integration of Sufi teachings into the traditions and culture of the Kajen Muslim community. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through documentation, in-depth interviews, and direct observation. The findings reveal that Sheikh Mutamakkin's Sufism is deeply rooted in sharia, particularly in the context of fiqh, as evidenced by his work Arsy Muwahhidun. His teachings have been integrated into local traditions, pesantren education, and the architectural symbolism of the Jami' Kajen Mosque. In the modern era, Sheikh Mutamakkin's Sufism remains relevant as it offers a spiritual solution to the crisis of materialism and secularism. This study contributes to the understanding of how Sufism can be contextualized within local culture while maintaining its Islamic essence.

Training related to curriculum implementation has been carried out, but at the practical level there are still some obstacles. These obstacles include the lack of intensive training, the lack of teacher motivation to improve, and the low level of innovation in education implementation. Supporting facilities and infrastructure are also not well available in both madrasas. The Pati Regency Ministry of Religious Affairs always provides encouragement and assistance in implementing the independent curriculum, starting from intensive training, mentoring, and other supporting infrastructure. Although there are still some obstacles, the independent curriculum at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level must be carried out as well as possible so that educational goals will be achieved.
