Abstract

This study examines the role of Dr. Soeharso as both a medical fighter and a pioneer of disability rehabilitation in post-independence Indonesia. Triggered by the growing number of war casualties who underwent amputations and lost limbs, this research aims to explain how Dr. Soeharso designed and implemented rehabilitation programs to restore physical function, independence, and social integration among persons with disabilities. Employing historical methods that include topic formulation, heuristic processes, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography, the study draws on archival sources from the Rehabilitasi Centrum (RC) Surakarta, Soeharso’s writings and travel reports, as well as contemporary secondary sources. The findings reveal that Dr. Soeharso developed a comprehensive rehabilitation model encompassing medical treatment, social empowerment, and economic training, which later became a foundational framework for disability rehabilitation in Indonesia. The study highlights that his efforts not only advanced equal rights and opportunities for persons with disabilities but also enriched Indonesian medical historiography and scholarship on marginalized groups.

Abstract

The RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) learning model was developed as a learning approach that emphasises active student engagement through explicit and systematic stages. This study aims to examine the use of the RADEC learning model in history education through a systematic literature review (SLR) approach. Data were obtained from Google Scholar using the Publish or Perish application with the keyword ‘RADEC’ and limited to publications from 2015 to 2025. Of the 100 articles collected, only 9 were relevant to the topic of history learning, and after selection based on inclusion criteria, only one article met the analysis requirements. The article demonstrated that the application of RADEC significantly improved students' learning outcomes in the subject of Islamic Cultural History. The findings also highlighted challenges in implementing RADEC, such as low student reading interest and insufficient teacher readiness. However, the simple and contextual syntax of RADEC makes it relevant and effective for implementation. This study concludes that although research is still limited, the RADEC model has great potential in supporting active history learning oriented towards 21st-century skills. Further research is recommended to expand the understanding and implementation of RADEC in the context of history at various levels of education. Abstract

Local Wisdom becomes an icon of an area whose existence must be preserved. Banten province has many local wisdoms that must be maintained. One of them is traditional food, which is now being replaced by modern food. The younger generation is now starting to leave the traditional culture, and their ignorance is becoming a problem. The presence of the Interactive Cooking Game, named “Papasakan Interactive Cooking Game,” is expected to be an innovation that increases the knowledge and interest of the younger generation towards traditional Banten food. The research method used is the ADDIE method (analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation). The respondents of this study included 76 students from the 10th and 11th grades of Senior High School. Various pieces of information about traditional food are obtained through observation and interviews. The results of this research led to the creation of Papasakan: Interactive Cooking Game, an innovative educational game to learn about Banten traditional food. This game contains five traditional foods, including Sate Bandeng from Serang, Rabeg from Cilegon, Mie Laksa from Tangerang, Kue Balok from Pandeglang, and Leumang from Lebak. This game includes the history, uniqueness, and the process of making traditional Banten food. Based on the implementation, the younger generation gave a positive response to the presence of this game. In addition, this game is also considered as an interesting media to introduce knowledge about traditional food to the younger generation.
