Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengembangan pembelajaran sosiologi berbasis nilai kearifan lokal Kasepuhan Ciptagelar. Pada hal ini, nilai kearifan lokal sangat diperlukan bagi peserta didik sebagai penyeimbang era globalisasi yang menuntut perubahan yang sangat cepat. Masyarakat Kasepuhan Ciptagelar merupakan representasi dari kearifan lokal Suku Sunda dengan prinsip dan filosofi hidup dari leluhur yang masih dipegang teguh. Melalui studi kajian literatur, artikel ini menelaah revitalisasi nilai kearifan lokal dan strategi pembelajaran sosiologi berbasis nilai kearifan lokal. Peran guru dan kontribusi masyarakat lokal diperlukan dalam menunjang pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan spiritual masyarakat modern yang mampu menyeimbangkan antara kehidupan modern dan keagamaan, serta dapat saling berdamai di dalamnya, salah satunya melalui budaya populer. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pemenuhan kebutuhan spiritual pada kalangan mahasiswa melalui budaya populer bernuansa islami di era modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 96 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perilaku religius mahasiswa dipengaruhi oleh budaya populer bernuansa islami sebesar 29%.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the importance of information literacy and scientific literacy skills to prevent exposure to misinformation in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Believing in misinformation encourages behaviour that is detrimental to individuals and groups due to anxiety, fear, uncertainty, and a lack of critical thinking skills. This study uses a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review (SLR) method. Through the SLR method, this article uses various sources of empirical research by collecting data and information to analyze elements in information literacy and scientific literacy that can identify misinformation. Information literacy is considered to be more useful in preventing belief in misinformation compared to the concepts of digital literacy, media literacy, and news literacy. Information literacy skills with information verification, and supported by scientific literacy with intellectual virtue, can recognize misinformation about COVID-19 so that it can prevent individuals from believing in misinformation that can result in errors of action. Scientific information literacy needs practical intervention to the public, one of which is through the role of educational institutions.

Abstract

This study examines Sundanese women's participation in legislative institutions through a structuration theory approach to inform educational strategies for gender equality. The purpose of this study is to understand how structure-agent relation in Sundanese women to navigate and challenge socio-political barriers for equality. We used a qualitative phenomenological approach to collect data through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, aided by NVivo 12 software for data reduction and coding. The research findings reveal a complex dynamic in which structural factors significantly shape political participation, but individual agency plays an important role in challenging and changing these structures and to inspire young women. This discussion contributes to the broader debate on gender, politics, and empowerment by education in the Indonesian context. To enhance women's political involvement, we require to make Sundanese political women as an agent to inspire young generation in school which support by pedagogy that build critical and democratic sphere

Abstract

This study aims to examine sociology teachers’ initiatives in implementing contextual and meaningful learning at the senior high school level. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through classroom observations and in-depth interviews with sociology teachers in Bandung and Cimahi. The findings reveal four key themes: differentiated instruction, inclusive classroom management, contextual transformation of sociological concepts, and creative use of media and methods. Teachers demonstrated sensitivity to students’ social backgrounds, interests, and learning stages, linking abstract theories to current social issues and real-life experiences. These practices fostered participatory learning, critical reflection, and deeper student engagement. The study underscores the essential role of teachers in creating inclusive and transformative learning spaces where sociology is not only taught but lived.

Abstract

Students' disrespect for teachers is one of the big challenges in the world of modern education. This phenomenon can be seen in one of the private high schools in Bandung, where students tend to disrespect teachers, consider teachers only as providers of educational services, and show disrespectful behavior during the teaching and learning process. This problem has an impact on disrupting a conducive learning atmosphere and decreasing teacher enthusiasm for teaching. This research aims to analyze the factors that influence students' disrespect for teachers and find strategic solutions to rebuild the value given to teachers. The method used is a qualitative approach with participant observation techniques, in-depth interviews and document analysis. The research results show that students' disrespect is influenced by several factors, such as parental parenting patterns, the negative influence of social media, and weak character education in schools. This disrespect causes disruption to the ideal learning process. However, this research also found that building positive emotional relationships between teachers and students can be an effective strategy in creating an ethical learning environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh circle pertemanan terhadap efektivitas kelompok belajar di kalangan mahasiswa. Circle pertemanan memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam membentuk dinamika kerja kelompok, baik dari segi pencapaian akademik, kenyamanan dalam berdiskusi, hingga dukungan sosial yang diberikan antar anggota. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara kepada beberapa mahasiswa dari berbagai latar belakang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok belajar yang terdiri dari circle pertemanan cenderung lebih efektif dalam menciptakan suasana yang suportif, komunikatif, dan penuh toleransi. Mahasiswa merasa lebih nyaman dalam menyampaikan ide dan bekerja sama dalam menyelesaikan tugas. Namun demikian, terdapat pula hambatan seperti tekanan teman sebaya dan konformitas sosial yang dapat mengganggu fokus belajar, misalnya kecenderungan untuk mengobrol atau menunda tugas. Dengan demikian, circle pertemanan dapat menjadi faktor pendukung maupun penghambat efektivitas kelompok belajar, tergantung pada dinamika hubungan dan kedewasaan masing-masing individu dalam kelompok. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi mahasiswa dan institusi pendidikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran kolaboratif.
