Abstract

The teaching distribution for lecturers based on their expertise is very important in the teaching and learning process. Lecturers who teach a course that is in accordance with their interests and abilities will make it easier for them to deliver material in class. In addition, students will also be easier to accept the material presented. However, in reality, the teaching distribution is often not in accordance with the expertise of the lecturer so that the lecturers are not optimal in providing material to their students. This problem can be solved using optimization methods such as the genetic algorithm. This study offers a solution for teaching distribution that focuses on the interest of each lecturer by considering the order of priorities. The optimal parameters of the test results are crossover rate (cr) = 0.6, mutation rate (mr) = 0.4, number of generations = 40, and population size = 15. Genetic algorithm is proven to be able to produce teaching distribution solutions with a relatively high fitness value at 4903.3.

Abstract

Lubis, W., Baharun, A., & Putra, W. P. B. (2024). Distribution of genotypes and allales of qualitative traits in cross chicken. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-12 Tahun 2024, Palembang 21 Oktober 2024. (pp. 434-445). Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).This study aimed to determine the diversity of phenotypes and genotype distribution of crossbred chickens based on qualitative traits. The crossbred chickens used are crossbred Merawang chickens with other chickens. Merawang chickens are dual-purpose chickens that have great potential to be developed. The main problem with Merawang chickens is that the characteristics of Merawang chickens have not been registered. Efforts made to overcome this problem were by analyzing the genotype distribution of the qualitative traits of Merawang Cross chickens and PCA analysis of the chicken morphostructure. One way to analyze the genotype distribution can be done by calculating the genotype frequency, heterozygosity, and genetic ingression values. This study was conducted using a sample of 26 male and 44 female Merawang Cross chickens. From the entire population of Merawang Cross chickens, the genotype frequency values showed that the dominant phenotype in Merawang Cross chickens was recessive in feather color, feather features, feather shimmer, and comb shape. But it is dominant in shank color which has an allele frequency value of 100% white/yellow. The heterozygosity value shows a medium-value feather color pattern and other phenotypes are low (<30). So, the genotype distribution pattern in Merawang Cross chickens is more dominantly carried by European chickens, the high genetic integration value is found in Rhode Island Red (RIR) chickens reaching 100% in males and 87% in females. This shows that crossbred chickens or Merawang Cross chickens have dominant genes from Rhode Island Red (RIR) chickens.

Abstract

Biotechnology can be confusing. Comics make learning more engaging, fun, and understandable by telling stories. Innovation creates e-comics using factual recordings. This study examines the feasibility, readability, and student reactions to biotechnology e-comic media with factual videos. This study follows the ADDIE development methodology from analysis to design, development, implementation, and assessment. This study involved randomly selected grade XII students of Sultan Daulat 1 High School. This study found that 1) biotechnology e-comic media accompanied by factual videos had a material validation score of 84% and media validation of 93% with a very valid category. 2) Comic media obtained a readability score of 81.4% with a very good category. 3) Students' answers to comedy media obtained a very good score of 82%. These findings indicate that biotechnology e-comic media with factual videos is valid and can be used for learning.

Abstract

Biotechnology might be difficult to understand. Comics were learning media that presented the material in the form of illustrated stories to make it more interesting, fun, not boring, and easily understood by students. Innovation makes comics in digital form, namely e-comics equipped with factual videos. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of biotechnology e-comics equipped with factual videos, as well as the readability and response of students to biotechnology e-comics media equipped with factual videos. This research uses the ADDIE development model starting from the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The samples used in this study were randomly selected XII-grade students of Sultan Daulat 1 Senior High School. Based on the research that has been done, the results obtained are: 1) Biotechnology e-comic media complemented by factual videos obtained a material validation score of 84% and media validation obtained a score of 93% with a very valid category. 2) Comic media obtained a readability score of 81.4% with a very good category 3) Students' responses to comic media obtained a score of 82% in the very good category. Based on these results, the biotechnology e-comic media equipped with factual videos is categorized as very valid, so it is feasible to use it as a learning media.
