Abstract

The large number of cases of abuse of power committed by leaders is a big challenge for future generations of the nation. Instilling leadership character in student needs to be implemented from now on. Character cultivation can be done at school, one example is by taking part in extracurricular activities in scouts. The role of scouting activities has a huge influence on the development of students' character, from discipline to love of the country. One of the schools that has implemented mandatory extracurricular activities is SMP Negeri 30 Muaro Jambi. This research intends to look for an overview of good management strategies to shape leadership character through scout extracurriculars. The research method uses qualitative research, data will be obtained descriptively. The data obtained was obtained from school principals and scout leaders as informants. Implementation was carried out from August to October, research was carried out on student activities both indoors and outdoors. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The implementation of scout extracurricular management strategies to shape leadership character at SMP Negeri 30 Muaro Jambi goes through four stages, namely planning, organizing, implementing, supervising. The planning stage begins with recruitment by the school principal, preparing a work program, and preparing materials. Organizing is carried out by giving responsibility to the parties concerned, namely the principal, deputy principal for student affairs, homeroom teacher, and scoutmaster. Implementation is carried out once a week and the camp activity program is carried out 3 times a year. Supervision is carried out to analyze scout extracurricular activities so that the next activities will be carried out even better

Abstract

This qualitative study employing a case study methodology aims to investigate and elucidate the execution of the Disaster Safe Education Unit Program management at SMA Zulhijjah in Batang Hari Regency. The participants in the research were twelve people. Interview data was analyzed using "within case and cross-case analysis" between participants. The results showed that there are four main aspects, namely (1) Implementation of Planning (Planning) Disaster Safe Education Unit: The planning of this program begins with the establishment of specific goals and objectives related to safety and disaster mitigation in schools, this has indeed been designed by the management of SAM.S Zuhijjah in Batang Hari Regency to increase awareness, readiness, and rapid response to disasters among students and school staff at SAM.S Zuhijjah; (2) Implementation of Organizing Disaster Safe Education Unit: The organizing process begins with the determination of a clear organizational structure for the implementation of the Disaster Safe Education Unit program. This includes the formation of a special team or committee responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of the program at SMA.S Zulhijjah which is poured into the Principal's Decree with a 1-year term of office; (3) Implementation of Implementing (Actuating) Disaster Safe Education Unit: During the Implementation, SMA.S Zulhijjah school established good cooperation with the surrounding community and other related parties, such as local government, disaster management agencies, and volunteer organizations, to support students and educators actively involved in the implementation of this program. They engage in diverse activities such as safety training, disaster awareness campaigns, and evacuation drills to ensure readiness for emergencies. Additionally, (4) Implementation of Supervision of the Disaster Safe Education Unit: The SPAB Team cluster at SMA S. Zulhijjah conducts regular supervision to oversee the execution of the Disaster Safe Education Unit program. This oversight encompasses monitoring evacuation drills, disaster education initiatives, and other mitigation measures. Evaluation outcomes are subsequently compiled into a formal school report. Suggestions that SMA S Zulhijjah school should consider regarding the implementation of the Disaster Safe Education Unit Program include: First, routine training and simulation; Second, provision of emergency equipment; Third, cooperation with the community; and Fourth, integration in the curriculum.

Abstract

Kelurahan Olak Kemang, yang terletak di tepi Sungai Batanghari, dikenal sebagai sentra produksi pangan tradisional berbasis ikan, terutama kerupuk ikan. Meskipun memiliki potensi besar, pelaku usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM) di wilayah ini masih menghadapi kendala dalam pengelolaan manajemen usaha dan belum memiliki sertifikasi halal sebagai jaminan mutu dan kepercayaan konsumen. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi UMKM kerupuk ikan dalam memperbaiki manajemen usaha serta memfasilitasi proses pengajuan sertifikasi halal. Sasaran kegiatan adalah pelaku UMKM kerupuk ikan di Kelurahan Olak Kemang. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode partisipatif, di mana tim pelaksana dan mitra bekerja sama secara aktif dalam setiap tahapan kegiatan. Program ini merupakan bagian dari implementasi Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) melalui kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik (KKN-T) di Desa Laboratorium Terpadu (DLT) Universitas Jambi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa mitra telah memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai pengelolaan usaha secara efektif dan berhasil mengajukan permohonan sertifikasi halal. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan daya saing produk lokal dan memperluas akses pasar UMKM kerupuk ikan secara berkelanjutan.
