Abstract

The desire updated tourist destinations is a search for self-existence, both in the real social world and in cyberspace through Instagram. After fulfilling their wishes, the desire arises to spread information to others. This diffusion of tourist information is known as word of mouth communication. In addition, Instagram becomes an opportunity or a potential for e-WOM communication that can be maximized as a step in the promotion of tourism. Instagram as a social network that has visual advantages will be more advantageous for tourism e-WOM communication activities through #majalengkahits. The objectives of this study include: exploring the potential of e-WOM on Instagram;the role of followers; and the meaning of the hashtag #majalengkahits. The method used in this research is virtual ethnography. According to the results of the research, the potential of long-term e-WOM communication on Instagram will increase tourists' loyalty. This type of communication rotation will greatly affect the increasing number of tourists in the Majalengka district. In addition, the role of follower #majalengkahist includes providers of information, complementary information and tourist invitations. There are several meanings in the use of #majalengkahits that include republishing, becoming a trend / viral, adding information, showing off, inviting sympathies / love, references, facilitating research, increasing promotion and adding followers.

Abstract

Indonesia saat ini sedang menjalani tahun politik menjelang perhelatan pemilihan umum (pemilu) pada tahun 2024 mendatang. Media sedang gencar menyajikan ragam informasi politik untuk dikonsumsi oleh publik. Penyebaran informasi hoaks atau berita palsu ini akan sangat menyesatkan membuat suasana tidak kondusif terutama terkait informasi-informasi politik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemahaman terkait pentingnya literasi informasi, khususnya untuk menangkal informasi hoaks dalam suasana pesta politik yang akan segera terselenggara di Indonesia. Selain itu, mengeksplorasi tentang landasan literasi media yang diperuntukkan bagi masyarakat akademis. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif yang tidak bertujuan menggeneralisasi suatu fenomena. Hasil dari penelitian yakni literasi menjadi kemampuan dasar bagi publik, terutama publik akademis yang mengonsumsi informasi dalam kehidupannya. Riset ini diharapkan menjadi tambahan pengetahuan bagi publik untuk cerdas dalam konsumsi informasi utamanya informasi politik. Hal ini diperlukan untuk dapat digunakan sebagai rambu agar terhindar dari informasi palsu (hoaks). Dengan demikian terdapat tiga landasan literasi media untuk menambah 1) kemampuan akses informasi politik; 2) filter informasi; dan 3) Rujukan informasi politik yang akurat. Abstract

This research analyzes the impact of Perceived Ease Of Use, Performance Expectations, Effort Expectations, Social Influence, and Facilitating Conditions communication on the Interaction Efficiency of communication interactions with machines. Analysis of these factors is important because they have a direct influence on communication interactions with GPT Chat. Understanding the impact will drive improvements and improve the overall user experience. The theoretical framework in this research is the Unified Theory of Technology Acceptance and Use (UTAUT) and Human Machine Interaction (HCI). Data was collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale and tested on 100 respondents using the Purposive Sampling method on GPT Chat users. The results of the research show that five variables, namely Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, User Experience, Performance Expectancy, and Customer Satisfaction have a positive and significant influence on user experience, Interaction Efficiency, and Interaction Efficiency. Meanwhile, the other two variables are Facilitation Conditions and Perceived Ease of Use. , has no significant effect on user communication. The results of the determination analysis show that Perceived Ease of Use and the UTAUT Model contribute 25.8% to User Experience, while User Experience contributes 6.2% to Interaction Efficiency. This research improves the Chat and Interaction Efficiency user experience. It contributes to the field of technology acceptance and communication of how humans interact with machines.

Abstract

This research examines the social communication practices of bilingual members within the EXO-L fandom in Indonesia on the X platform (formerly Twitter), with a focus on the utilization of English slang words. Employing a qualitative research design through virtual ethnography, the study investigates three key objectives: self-concept construction, self-existence assertion, and the development of interpersonal relationships. The findings highlight that English slang words function as a linguistic medium for identity expression, social integration, and solidarity reinforcement. Members demonstrate adaptability in selecting between English slang and formal English to align with social norms while maintaining individual authenticity. The use of shared linguistic features and mutual interest in EXO as a K-Pop idol group facilitates accelerated relationship-building and deepened social bonds. This study provides theoretical contributions to the field of digital communication and popular culture studies, offering insights into the dynamics of virtual communities in a globalized digital era.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) has brought significant transformations in the field of communication. AI not only changes how information is delivered but also how human interactions occur, whether in interpersonal, organizational, or mass communication. This study aims to explore the role of AI in communication transformation by highlighting the challenges and innovations arising from the implementation of this technology. Through a literature review from various academic sources, this research identifies several key innovations, such as content automation, message personalization, and the use of chatbots in digital communication. However, ethical and technical challenges such as algorithmic bias, transparency, data privacy, and impacts on traditional jobs remain issues that need to be addressed. The study finds that while AI offers significant opportunities in enhancing communication efficiency and effectiveness, its sustainable implementation depends greatly on clear regulations, ethical awareness, and a balance between human and technological roles. This research provides insights for practitioners and academics to harness AI's potential while mitigating the risks arising during the communication transformation process.

Abstract

Komunikasi keluarga harus berlangsung dengan efektif agar menciptakan nuansa pendidikan yang baik. Dalam hal ini otang tua (Ibu) menjadi agen komunikator bagi anaknya agar mau belajar dan meminimalisir adiksi gawai pada anak. Tahapan kegiatan iniĀ  terdiri dari tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Pelaksanaan berupa pelatihan dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dan diskusi dalam penyampaian materi. Penelitian ini menyadari kompleksitas masalah dan mengakui bahwa pembelajaran yang mendalam dan efektif membutuhkan waktu yang cukup. Oleh karena itu, serangkaian pertemuan yang terencana dengan baik diselenggarakan untuk memfasilitasi pemahaman konsep, penerapan keterampilan, dan interaksi antara peserta pelatihan. Hasil post-test menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan ini berhasil memberikan pengetahuan dasar tentang komunikasi dalam keluarga. Pengetahuan ini diharapkan dapat diimplementasikan oleh para orang tua dalam kehidupan sehari-hari di rumah. Selanjutnya, kegiatan serupa direncanakan untuk dilaksanakan secara rutin guna memberikan dampak pengetahuan yang lebih aplikatif bagi orang tua di lingkungan komunitas Awabe, serta untuk menjalankan program berkelanjutan.
