Abstract

This research focuses only on passive fire protection systems in-hospital buildings because the Hospital is public buildings that many people use as facilities for health needs. Hospital residents are not only healthy people, but most sick people are not able to save themselves because of that the building safety system must be reliable especially fire protection systems. This study uses descriptive analysis method by checking directly in the field against the variables that have determined and then analyzed, based on the weight of the AHP method after that each variable and sub-variable will be assessed with a Likert scale according to its suitability with regulations and standards, then weights will be multiplied by the value of conformity to get the reliability value. The results are the level of reliability of the building fire passive protection system 2,250 it includes which in the category enough. This is to increase the value of the level of reliability, it must fulfill the design guidelines in the form of standards.

Abstract

In the form of evacuation routes, safety handling must be prioritized especially in high-rise buildings. When the fire occurs, the most important thing apart from extinguishing the fire is to bring the occupants out of the building as soon as possible to prevent any casualties. It is necessary to take effective, efficient and integrated fire hazard prevention measures in a management system so that its implementation and renewal can follow the needs. This is also regulated in building regulations and is technically regulated in the Indonesian National Standard. Shopping center building is for example. Shopping center should put more attention to the accessibility aspects of evacuation routes for users. The scoping study of Millennium ICT Center includes the existence of facilities and infrastructure for evacuation and fire management of buildings, evacuation time of building residents, using descriptive study methods with quantitative analytical, and simulation methods using Rockwell Arena Simulation Software. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of accessibility to facilities, infrastructure, and building fire management of Millennium ICT Center as well as evacuation route travel time meet the requirements, safety and comfort standards of building users.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a tropical climate with humidity high air which can reach 80%, as well as relatively high air temperature (can reach 35°C). While the comfortable air temperature ranges between 22.5°C - 29°C with humidity air ranges from 20% - 50%). Therefore, it is necessary to create comfort thermal space in the space where people perform movement and activity. One of the things the most important thing is the use of the roof. The roof has an influence on temperature and comfort in space, especially in terms of material use and shape selection roof of the building. The use of roof forms with different materials certainly will creates a different effect on buildings.

Abstract

The development of the times and socio-cultural changes have had a significant impact on architecture, often eroding regional identity and cultural heritage that have been formed over centuries. This is evident in the revitalization of heritage areas, where regional design elements are less integrated, especially in contemporary practices. This study proposes a policy to implement regional architectural design and organize outdoor spaces in cultural heritage revitalization projects. Using architectural design methods, this study aims to create a "right" approach that combines historical monumentalism with contemporary aesthetics. Conceptual strategies such as contextual juxtaposition are used to enhance the design and character of the environment, with a focus on aesthetics and functionality. This approach aims to revitalize underutilized historic buildings by integrating new structures and materials, regenerating a sense of identity and value. This study provides a foundation for cultural and architectural policies in urban development, encompassing physical, economic, and social aspects while encouraging community involvement and ownership. Keywords: regional architecture, heritage revitalization, conceptual design, contextual juxtaposition, local identity.

Abstract

With the increasing number of residents in a city, there will be excessive exploitation of nature, uncontrolled land use changes and a decrease in the carrying capacity of the environment. These various results have a potential to increase the frequency and severity of flood disasters. Flooding is a problem for the town because it leads in losses of property and lives, the emergence of health issues, damage to different infrastructure facilities and infrastructure, among other things. Although the government has been developing a horizontal drainage system for years, it has yet to decrease urban flooding. Consequently, a new technique is required to overcome flooding, specifically the use of vertical drainage. In an attempt to improve the community's living conditions, this activity's goal is to reduce the risk of flooding in Kelurahan Pasar Merah Timur settlement area. The advantages of this program include an improvement in the community's quality of life as a result of less intense flooding following the installation of vertical drainage. According to the test, 2 liters of water can be drained into the aquifer channel every second by the vertical drainage. So it can be assumed that if there is a puddle of water that cannot be drained by horizontal drainage of 4000 liters or 4 m3, it will take 34 minutes to deliver the water into the aquifer layer.
