Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine the effectiveness of cognitive restructuring techniques to increase learning motivation in students of State Islamic Junior High School 6 Bantul. The type of research is experimental research. The research design uses quasi-experiment. The design uses Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The research population was 8th grade students of State Islamic Junior High School 6 Bantul, amounting to 149 students. The sampling technique in the research used purposive sampling. The criteria for determining the sample in the research are students of State Islamic Junior High School 6 Bantul at 8th grade which indicated to have low learning motivation. The data collection method uses a scale of learning motivation that has gone through validation processes. Data analysis using non-parametric statistics with the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed that there were differences in the results of the experimental group's learning motivation before (M=72.17) and after (111.67) the treatment was given (p=0.027<0.05). These results can be concluded that cognitive restructuring techniques are effective to increase students learning motivation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas teknik cognitive restructuirng untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experiment design. Tempat penelitian berada di MTsN 6 Bantul. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 149 siswa. Jumlah sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 12 siswa. Skor pretest rata-rata kelompok eksperimen adalah 50,50 dengan nilai minimum 48 dan maksimum 53. Sedangkan skor posttest kelompok eksperimen 81,50 dengan nilai minimum 79 dan maksimum 84. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara pretest dan posttest pada kelompok eksperimen. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon diperoleh nilai tabel Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0,024 lebih kecil dari taraf kesalahan (α=0,05). Sedangkan kelompok kontrol memiliki nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailend) adalah 0,149 lebih besar taraf kesalahan (α= 0,05) yang berarti pemberian treatmen dengan teknik cognitive restructuring efektif untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa pada sekolah menengah pertama. Abstract

Aromatherapy candles are candle that provide a therapeutic effect when burned, such as for alternative medicine, decoration or air freshener. The benefit of aromatherapy candles made from the essential oil of the clove plant is that it is a health treatment that contains high levels of eugenol to help the wound healing process.  The aim of this research is to provide educational training to community members about the process of managing essential oils from clove plants into aromatherapy candles. The method used is practice and explanation of materials for making aromatherapy candles with community members, especially housewives and teenagers. The activity of training on making aromatherapy candles was positively supported by the village head and officials as well as local representatives and hamlets. The results of carrying out these activities can produce essential oil products to optimize the yield of clove plants in Hargasari village. This training hopes that community members will be able to manage essential oils from clove plants well and can increase natural resources optimally.   Abstrak: lilin aromaterapi adalah lilin yang memberikan efek terapi apabila dibakar seperti untuk alternatif pengobatan, penghias maupun pengharum ruangan. Manfaat lilin aromaterapi dari minyak atsiri cengkeh yaitu sebagai pengobatan kesehatan yang memiliki eugenol tinggi untuk membantu proses penyembukan luka.  Adapun tujuan pengabdian ini memberikan edukasi pelatihan pada warga masyarakat tentang bagaimana proses pengelolaan minyak atsiri dari tanaman cengkeh menjadi lilin aromaterapi. Metode yang digunakan yakni praktek dan penjelasan materi pembuatan lilin aromaterapi dengan warga masyarakat khususnya ibu-ibu rumah tangga dan remaja. Kegiaan pelatihan pembuatan lilin aromterapi didukung secara positif oleh kepala desa dan perangkat serta perwakilan warga dukuh setempat. Hasil pelaksanan kegiatan tersebut dapat membuat produk minyak atsiri untuk mengoptimalkan hasil tanaman cengkeh di desa hargosari. Pelatihan ini diharapkan warga masyarakat mampu mengelola minyak atsiri dari tanaman cengkeh dengan baik serta dapat meningkatkan sumber daya alam yang optimal. Abstract

The primary role of the counsellor during the Covid-19 pandemic is expected to be able to formulate individual counselling services that are in accordance with the needs of students today. One of the guidance and counselling services is an individual counselling service which refers to Permendikbud Number 111 of 2014 to obtain limited information about individual counselling. It is hoped that the implementation of guidance and counselling will be able to implement individual counselling services properly. Guidance and counselling must be able to: 1) Prioritize the welfare of the counselee, 2) Able to develop the counselee's diversity of competency skills, 3) Develop information and emotional control skills, 4) Have high resilience in dealing with one's own problems and counselee problems. Individual counselling services are teacher guidance and counselling services in schools to help students solve problems about truancy, interaction with friends, personal problems and career studies. The function of individual counselling services in guidance and counselling can help students in overcoming problems, getting change, direction and support and better attention. Therefore, the role of guidance and counselling in individual counselling services is very important in guidance and counselling in schools. So the counsellor must have the ability to guide, understand the characteristics of students well so that the counsellor can provide optimal guidance services to students.
