Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris Mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Bahasa Inggris Profesi, penelitian ini dilakukan karena berdasarkan temuan di priminary study ditemukan bahahwa dari 47 mahasiswa hanay 11 mahasiswa yang aktif dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Pada siklus pertama, dari hasil tes ditemukan mahasiswa sudah mampu membuat dan merespon pertanyaan 5W 1H namun masih kurang aktif memperaktikkan dalam kelas. Namun hasil observasi siklus kedua dengan cara membuat kelompok kecil dalam kelas mahasiswa sudah aktif mengikuti pembelajaran, Sehingga ada percakapan dalam Bahasa Inggris tentang aktifitas seputar kehidupan sehari-hari mahasiswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to map the local wisdom that appears in the customary speech of lara pangkon in the wedding reception of Ngantang people. The researchers found there are 32 meanings of expectation in the local wisdom of meaning, 4 meanings of affection in the local wisdom of meaning, 3 meanings of advice in the local wisdom of meaning, 18 functions of cultural symbol in the local wisdom of function, and 1 cultural value in the local wisdom of value. The meanings of expectation, affection, and advice in the local wisdom of meaning found refer to the changing mindsets and social relations between individuals and groups by creating a common meeting point, the cultural symbol functions in the local wisdom of function in lara pangkon‘s speech refer to a symbol of cultural diversity for a community, and the cultural value refers to cultural elements that grow from the bottom up, and form organically in society. Exploring qualitative investigations, investigating the cross-cultural applicability of cultural symbols' functions as unifying agents, and examining the natural emergence of cultural values have the potential to enhance our comprehension of local wisdom's dynamics and its tangible impacts on community resilience and unity.

Abstract

The point of this article is portraying how the ways Skimming Technique can enhance the primary review understudies' Reading Comprehension Skill on News Item Text at MAN Malang 1. In light of the preparatory study, the specialist found the classroom issues of this class particularly in perusing understanding ability on News Item Text of the primary evaluation understudies of MAN Malang 1. The students got trouble to grasp perusing writings which were given by the English educator. This trouble made 80% of the understudies of this class neglected to achieve the standard least of the school, which is 78.00 in their perusing understanding, and the normal score of this class was just 66.2. In this way, the understudies' perusing cognizance aptitude on News Item message must be moved forward. This study utilized Classroom Action Research (CAR) as the exploration outline. The subjects of this study were one class of the main evaluation understudies which comprised of 37 understudies. The systems of the study secured four stages: arranging, executing, perception, and reflection. The information accumulated was as quantitative and subjective information. The quantitative information was acquired from the perusing appreciation test, and the subjective information was gotten from the understudies perception and agenda and the field note of the educating and learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of developing illustrated vocabulary animation game media for kindergarten – A students at Pelita Kasih Lawang Kindergarten is that early childhood can concentrate and understand the content of the material so that they are able to repeat simple words with correct pronunciation. Early childhood is also expected to be able to repeat words that have been listened to friends and teachers. Researchers compiled an animated vocabulary game media developer pictured in learning English, by making a Research and Development (R&D) development research design, which is research used to produce certain products, and test the validity of these products. This Research and Development procedure is an adaptation of Sugiono's theory (2011 : 297), namely : 1) Potential and Problems, 2) Data Collection, 3) Product Design, 4) Design Validation, 5) Usage Trial, 6) Product Revision, 7) Product Trial, 8) Design Revision. Product Trial, 8) Design Revision. The data analysis technique used is qualitative and quantitative analysis in the form of percentages. The results of this research and development obtained are : 94.44% of the learning expert validation results, 96.15% of the media expert validation results, 91.11% of the small group trial results, and 95.68% of the field trial results. Based on these results, the development of animated media in language learning is classified as feasible to use. Based on the validation results, observations on small group trials and field trials, it can be concluded that the development of animated media in language learning is very interesting, fun, and easy to use. It is hoped that the results of the development of animated media in language learning can be developed even better, more effective, and right on target. So that it can be utilized according to the needs and achieve the goals of early childhood language learning.
