Abstract

Research on the utilization of Gold Nanoparticles (GNPs) has rapidly advanced in recent decades, particularly in the biomedical field for cancer detection and therapy. GNPs have unique characteristics, such as nanometer size, high chemical stability, modifiable optical properties, and good biocompatibility, making them ideal candidates for applications in nanomedicine. This literature reviews the utilization of GNPs in cancer detection through local surface plasmon resonance (LSPR)-based imaging techniques, signal enhancement in Raman spectroscopy, and the delivery of specific diagnostic agents. Additionally, in cancer therapy, GNPs are used for photothermal, photodynamic, and targeted drug delivery, which can enhance therapeutic efficacy and reduce side effects on healthy tissues. This literature review also covers the main challenges in the development of GNP-based technologies, including toxicity, in vivo stability, and production scalability. The results of this study indicate that GNPs have great potential for clinical application, although further research is needed to address technical and ethical constraints before they can be widely implemented in cancer treatment in humans

Abstract

The process of making walnut bread is a dynamic process where the flour components and other ingredient mixtures undergo physicochemical changes. The aim of this study is to explore scientific concepts both at the preparation, process and product stages in the form of walnut bread. Analysis was also carried out to determine the integration of sin concepts according to Fogarty's view. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection techniques through libraries. The results of the analysis show that the process of making walnut bread involves scientific concepts including physics, chemistry and biology. These concepts include colloids, collisions, fermentation, temperature and heat, reaction rates, Maillard reactions and caramelization and spoilage processes in food..

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of ethnoscience in science education through a systematic literature review from 2020 to May 2025. Ethnoscience, as a culturally-based educational approach, plays a crucial role in contextualizing scientific concepts in students' daily lives. This study employs the PRISMA protocol to ensure traceability and transparency in data collection. Of the 76 articles that met the inclusion criteria, most studies were conducted in Indonesia, focusing on primary and secondary education. The findings reveal that ethnoscience research in science education contributes to improving scientific literacy and 21st-century skills and integrating local wisdom values into pedagogical approaches. However, there remains a lack of cross-country research or intercultural comparisons. This study recommends further research with empirical classroom approaches and cross-cultural studies to enhance the validity and transferability of findings. The results of this review provide valuable insights for curriculum developers, educators, and policymakers to design culturally responsive science learning that aligns with students' sociocultural contexts. The integration of ethnoscience can serve as a strategic approach to promote inclusive education, foster identity awareness, and support the sustainability of local knowledge in formal science curricula.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how students’ cognitive processes are formed and developed through their engagement with thermodynamics learning using culturally-based comics. Employing a qualitative case study design, the research involved twelve physics education students who had completed thermodynamics coursework. The learning medium used was the Longbumbung Series, an educational comic that integrates narrative and visual representations of local cultural life with thermal physics concepts. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and students’ written reflections, and analyzed thematically. The findings indicate that incorporating local culture into comics not only enhances students’ affective engagement but also stimulates higher-order cognitive processes such as conceptual interpretation, scientific inference, and analytical articulation. Culture serves as a representational structure that bridges abstract concepts into contextual and reflective understanding. These findings highlight the importance of strategically integrating local cultural elements into science media and pedagogy design to foster deeper intellectual engagement and transformative learning experiences.

Abstract

One of the reasons why high school and vocational school graduates are the highest contributors to the open unemployment rate is the lack of job opportunities that match their level of education and the lack of skills for alternative jobs, for example entrepreneurship. This research aims to ; (1) Integrate approach chemoentrepreneurship with Village ethnochemistry Malapat in chemistry learning , (2) Knowing what is what there is difference interest entrepreneurship student after taught with the integrated chemoentrepreneurship approach of ethnochemistry in Malapat Village . This study uses a preexperimental design method through one group pretest-post-test design . The subjects of the study were 24 students of class XI of SMA Negeri 25 Halmahera Selatan. Data collection through an entrepreneurial interest instrument consisting of 17 items. Data analysis using descriptive statistics ( paired test ). The findings of the study indicate that the integrated chemoentrepreneurship approach of ethnochemistry in Malapat Village can be implemented using the Project Based Learning model with the following steps; 1) Identifying and determining a local culture-based product manufacturing project, 2) Planning the product manufacturing steps including analysis of materials and costs required, 3) Compile timetable product making, 4) Monitoring the implementation of product making, 5) Making reports and business plans for the products produced, 6) evaluating the products produced. The paired test showed a significance of pre-test and post-test of 0.026 which indicated that there was a difference in students' interest in entrepreneurship before and after participating in learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa pda mata pelajaran kimia menggunakan pendekatan berbasis budaya lokal. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018 di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Kota Tidore Kepulauan untuk pokok bahasan Koloid. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 yang berjumlah 22 orang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Action Research atau penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa yang cukup signifikan dari pra-siklus, siklus I, dan siklus II. Rerata Aktivitas belajar siswa pada pra-siklus sebesar 21% dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I sebesar 72% serta 91% di siklus ke-II. Data tersebut manunjukkan bahwa aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan yang cukup signifikan melalui pembelajaran berbasis budaya lokal.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang berorientasi untuk mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) mengakibatkan perkembangan keterampilan abad 21 siswa seperti komunikasi dan kolaborasi sering terabaikan, terutama bagi siswa yang berkepribadian introvert. Keterampilan tersebut perlu dikembangkan terutama bagi siswa introvert karena mereka mengalami kesulitan dan membutuhkan waktu untuk bekerja sama atau mengemukakan pendapat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan komunikasi dan kolaborasi siswa introvert melalui Pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teachng. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 5 Kota Tidore Maluku Utara tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA yang berkeperibadian introvert. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan interpretatif. Penentuan subjek penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling melalui tes Eysenck Personality Inventory (EPI), sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, reflektif jurnal, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan siswa introvert berkembang dalam berkolaborasi dengan teman-temannya. Intensitas komunikasi mereka juga mengalami peningkatan. Penerapan pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching menjadikan siswa introvert memiliki motivasi, keberanian, dan percaya diri untuk mengemukakan pendapat baik kepada teman maupun guru serta mampu bekerja sama dengan siswa lain dalam kelompoknya.

Abstract

Mendeley merupakan salah satu software referensi manager yang dapat menunjang penulis dalam melakukan penyusunan dan publikasi karya ilmiah. Aplikasi ini cukup mudah dalam pengoperasionalannya sehingga menjadi pilihan favorit dari penulis dan peneliti. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode ceramah, tanya jawab, demonstrasi, penugasan, drill. Peserta kegiatan terdiri dari 35 orang. Kegiatan ini juga disertai dengan pemberian angket repon peserta terkait penggunaan aplikasi mendeley. Berdasarkan hasil respon dan feedback dari peserta diketahui bahwa terdapat (1) peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai aplikasi mendeley sebagai reference tool publikasi karya ilmiah; (2) peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam mengoperasikan aplikasi mendeley sebagai reference tool publikasi karya ilmiah. Peserta menunjukkan antusias dan respon positif di sepanjang pelaksanaan kegiatan. Secara keseluruhan peserta telah mampu membuat kutipan dan daftar dengan menggunakan software mendeley dengan baik. Pelatihan dan pendampingan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan semangat dan motivasi bagi peserta untuk menulis dan meningkatkan kualitas karya ilmiah mereka.
