Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out and describe the students' ability to understand mathematical concepts using realistic mathematics education (RME) approach better than conventional learning. The study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The study population was all students of class VIII SMP N 13 Merangin, amounting to four classes with a sample of class VIII C as an experimental class and class VIII B as a control class. The instruments used were test questions on the ability to understand mathematical concepts in the form of essays. The results of the data analysis requirements show that the data of the two sample classes are normally distributed and have homogeneous variances. Hypothesis testing uses the t-test formula. Based on the results of the analysis of research data shows that t arithmetic greater than t table or 2.401> 1.671 on a one-party test. Because t arithmetic> T table then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that the ability to understand mathematical concepts using realistic mathematics education (RME) approach is better than conventional learning of students of class VIII SMP N 13 Merangin.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe mathematical reasoning abilities using the problem based instruction (PBI) model which is better than conventional learning for grade VI students of SD Negeri 115 / VI Bangko VIII. The method used is an experimental method. Sampling using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used in this research is a mathematical reasoning ability test in the form of a description. From the data analysis, it was concluded that the mathematical reasoning ability of students using the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model was higher than the mathematical reasoning abilities of students who used conventional learning, the mathematical reasoning abilities of students with high initial abilities who took the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model were not higher than students' mathematical reasoning using conventional learning, the mathematical reasoning abilities of students with low initial abilities who took part in learning with the PBI model were not higher than students' mathematical reasoning abilities using conventional learning, there was no interaction between learning models and students' initial abilities to influence students' mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of students. The purpose of this study was to describe the significant relationship between independent learning and mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP N 43 Merangin in the 2019/2020 academic year. This type of research is a research with a quantitative approach while the method used is correlation. The population and research sample were students of Class VIII SMP N 43 Merangin in the 2019/2020 school year which consisted of 4 classes with 117 students. Sampling using the Taro Yamane formula obtained a sample of 54 people. The data analysis technique used by researchers to test the hypothesis using the Product Moment correlation formula because the data is normally distributed, has a linear pattern, so to test the significance using the z test formula. Based on the results of the study showed that the relationship between independent learning and mathematics learning outcomes of students of Class VIII SMP N 43 Merangin with the correlation coefficient r count 0.369 and r table 0.263 or 0.369 > 0.263 while the contribution between variables X and Y was 13.624% and the z test was obtained z hitung 2.687 and it turns out that z count ≥ z table or 2.687 ≥ 2.580, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a significant relationship between independent learning and mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP N 43 Merangin in the 2019/2020 academic year

Abstract

About the establishment of national character through character education implemented by the schools is one of the mission of realizing the vision of the Indonesian nation. Which the democratic national education and quality to strengthen noble character, creative, innovative, national paradigm, intelligent, healthy, disciplined and responsible, skilled and master of science and technology. However from the result research and interviews are still occur juvenile delinquency that exceeds normal limits. If less control of their so deviation of violence like this is what happens at school. Negative influence this also arises because the lack of attention their family. This study aims to determine the extent of the role of education Pancasila and citizenship in the efforts to establishment character of students. In Order To seek information by interviewing the teachers and some school students researchers also observe.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini Untuk Mendepkripsikan seberapa besar pengaruh kualitas pelayanan jasa yang meliputi Tangible, Realibility, Responsiveness, Assurance, dan Empathy terhadap kepuasan masyarakat Kantor Kelurahan lemba Kecamatan Lalabata Kabupaten Soppeng. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei. Penelitian survei adalah penelitian yang dilakukan pada populasi yang besar maupun kecil, tetapi yang dipelajari adalah data dari sampel yang diambil dari populasi tersebut, sehingga ditemukan kejadian-kejadian relatif, distribusi dan hubungan hubungan antara variable. Dalam penelitian ini, yang menjadi populasi adalah seluruh masyarakat Kelurahan Lemba Kecamatan Lalabata Kabupaten Soppeng yang berjumlah 4.291 jiwa. Analisis digunakan untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh kepuasan masyarakat terhadap pelayanan jasa pada Kantor Kelurahan Lemba Kecamatan Lalabata Kabupaten Soppeng dengan menggunakan rumus regresi linear berganda. Dari lima variabel yang mempengaruhi kepuasan masyarakat Kantor Kelurahan Lemba Kecamatan Lalabata Kabupaten Soppeng, variabel yang paling dominan adalah variabel Realibility (Kehandalan) berdasarkan hasil uji t. Variabel Realibiity (Kehandalan) mempunyai nilai thitung (5,155) > ttabel (1,986) paling besar dibandingkan dengan variabel lainnya, dengan signifikan yang disyaratkan

Abstract

This research purposed to produce a valid, practical and effective HOTS-based student worksheet (LKPD). This research uses an R&D research method with a 4-D development model, in which consists of the define, design, development and disseminate stages. HOTS-based worksheets validated by 5 validators, 3 material expert validators, 1 linguist validator and 1 media expert validator. After validation, the research phase was carried out in class VIIIC of SMPN 10 Merangin with a total of 28 students. The results of the LKPD validation obtained an average of 4.36, so it can be categorized as very valid. As well as from the results of the research obtained the results of practicality and product effectiveness. Practicality of LKPD obtained a percentage of 78.01% in the practical category. Meanwhile, for effectiveness in terms of student learning achievement, the percentage of completeness reached 82.15% and in terms of students’ activity, the percentage of students was 91.17%, which means very active. Thus, it can be concluded that the HOTS-based LKPD was valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

Understanding of students' mathematical concepts is still relatively low, this is known from the results of the initial test which showed that none of the students had completed. This can be seen from the motivation of students in participating in mathematics learning, students are less motivated to learn mathematics, cheat friends, and do not work on problems seriously. This research uses a quantitative approach with correlation methods. Data collection techniques in this study were questionnaires and tests. The analytical technique used to test the hypothesis is Pearson product moment correlation. To test the significance using t-test. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that Fcount > Ftable or 53.3452 > 2.796, then H0 is rejected, meaning that there is a significant influence between learning motivation on understanding mathematical concepts of eighth grade students of SMP N 21 Merangin in the 2021/2022 academic year. Learning motivation contributes to the understanding of mathematical concepts by 69.72% while the remaining 30.28% is influenced by other factors

Abstract

Target of this research is to yield worksheets based on invention guided at items Parallelogram and is Trilateral which practical and valid. This Research type is development and research. This research use model 4-D which consist of 4 phase that is: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Worksheets based on invention guided by validity by five expert people that is mathematician, media and Indonesian language, and also learn class mathematics study. Practical seen from result of enquette sheet of practicalities and interview with student. Result of analysis at phase of validity indicate that worksheets based on invention guided which is yielded very valid. Result of enquette analysis of practicalities, and result interview with student indicate that worksheets based on invention guided which is yielded is practical. Pursuant to result of research obtained that worksheets based on invention guided by at parallelogram items and trilateral the developed have very valid and is practical.

Abstract

This study aims to determine 1) students' self-adjustment to community culture, 2) Obstacles faced by students in the process themselves with the cultural adjustment of society. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques using observation. Research results based on data analysis shows 1) Student self-adjustment to society is classified as not good at adapting. Student self-adjustment to the culture of society which is classified as not good evidenced through five indicators consisting of two dimensions. From fifth Of these indicators, only two of them were able to be fulfilled by students while carrying out the real work lecture process. 2) Adjustment constraints students in the process of adjusting to the culture of society are also not good. In this case, students in overcoming obstacles of self-adjustment do not can overcome all the obstacles that exist in adaptation to the culture of the community is proven by four indicators of adjustment constraints self is only one that can be overcome by students.
