Abstract

Individuals with mental health disorders frequently experience elevated levels of stress and anxiety, which negatively impact their overall well-being. Hypnotherapy has been explored as a complementary nursing intervention to reduce psychological distress, yet its effectiveness in psychiatric settings remains under-researched. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of hypnotherapy in reducing stress and anxiety levels among individuals with mental health disorders. Methods: A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design was employed involving 80 participants diagnosed with psychiatric disorders, randomized into an intervention group (n = 40) and a control group (n = 40). The intervention group received six individual hypnotherapy sessions over four weeks, while the control group received standard psychiatric care. Stress and anxiety levels were measured using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) and the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). Data were analyzed using paired t-tests and ANCOVA, with effect sizes and 95% confidence intervals calculated. Results: Participants in the hypnotherapy group showed a significant reduction in stress levels (mean difference = -8.4; 95% CI: -10.1 to -6.7; p < 0.001) and anxiety levels (mean difference = -7.4; 95% CI: -9.0 to -5.8; p < 0.001) compared to the control group. The effect sizes were large for both outcomes (Cohen’s d > 0.8). Additionally, 90% of participants in the intervention group reported high satisfaction with the treatment. Conclusions: Hypnotherapy appears to be an effective complementary intervention for reducing stress and anxiety in psychiatric patients. However, given the limited follow-up duration and sample size, future studies should investigate long-term effects, cultural factors, and integration into nursing practice.

Abstract

The achievement target for accelerating TB control in Bali Province and Tabanan Regency has not shown results that meet the target, which can have negative impacts in the form of delays in diagnosis and death in sufferers. This study aims to explore the implementation of tuberculosis control in Tabanan district, Bali Province. The study used a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGD) with regulators, program implementers, and other stakeholders, with a total of 25 respondents. The result of this study demonstrates that the integration of tuberculosis prevention implementation recommendations from the center to the Tabanan Regency Public Health Center is well established. The local government has allocated funds based on the number of tuberculosis elimination targets achieved in each health center. However, there was a misalignment between the guidelines and their execution in the Public Health Center. This is due to the lack of regional regulations that precisely outline the initiatives described in the center's guidelines. If this trend continues, tuberculosis control efforts will not be as effective as hoped. As a result, complete support is expected due to strong and explicit policies, as well as cross-sector cooperation, to ensure the program's success.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the impact of the implementation of the Education Management Information System (EMIS-Pendidikan) on the quality of student administration services at SMK Muhammadiyah 3. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through direct observation and interviews with administrative staff and teachers. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to identify MIS usage patterns and their impact on administrative services. The results show that the implementation of MIS, such as e-Raport and Pijar Online, has a positive impact on efficiency, accuracy, transparency, and service satisfaction. Interview data showed an increase in the speed of grade processing, a decrease in input errors, and ease of access to information for students and parents. However, the effectiveness of MIS is still influenced by limitations in digital infrastructure, user technological literacy, and managerial support. Therefore, improving human resource competency and strengthening technological facilities are key to the success of school digital transformation.
