Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by several problems, such as students who do not fully recognize and understand the preparations that must be done in a new environment, whether in the world of courses or work. In addition, another problem is that students have difficulty determining career planning after graduating from Vocational High School because of the limited information they obtain and also the form of information provided in schools is limited.  Therefore, a career information medium is developed to increase students' insight about careers. The purpose of this research development is to produce a career information medium assisted by interactive multimedia android-based for students of SMK Negeri 1 Godean as one of the careers information media that can be used by guidance and counseling teachers in providing basic guidance and counseling services, therefore they can help students in doing career planning.  The products resulting from this research are in the form of an interactive Android multimedia-assisted career information medium with several existing features, namely career exploration features (self-exploration and environment), comprehension quizzes, information purpose features, reference features, and media developer info features. This research uses the R&D (Research and Development) method.  Based on the Borg and Gall development step model.  Based on the results of research from material expert validators, 92% of the results refer to very feasible categories, and media expert validators obtained 85% of the results with very feasible categories.  While the results of product trials in limited groups is obtained 88% that refer to very feasible categories.  The accumulated results of the feasibility assessment of material experts and media experts as well as product trial assessments limited to users is obtained results of 88%, which means it is very feasible to use in the field.   Keywords: Career Information; Career exploration; Android Interactive Multimedia.Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dari beberapa masalah seperti peserta didik yang belum sepenuhnya mengerti dan memahami persiapan yang harus dilakukan pada lingkungan baru di dunia perkuliahan maupun dunia kerja. Selain itu, masalah lainnya adalah peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam menentukan rencana karir setalah lulus dari Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan karena keterbatasan informasi yang didapatkan oleh peserta didik dan juga bentuk informasi yang disediakan di sekolah terbatas. Maka dari itu dikembangkanlah suatu media informasi karir untuk menambah wawasan peserta didik tentang karir. Produk yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini berupa media informasi karir berbantuan multimedia interaktif android dengan beberapa fitur yang ada, yaitu fitur eksplorasi karir (eksplorasi diri dan lingkungan), quiz pemahaman, fitur tujuan informasi, fitur refrensi dan fitur info pengembang media. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D (Research and Development). Berdasarkan model langkah pengembangan Borg and Gall. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dari validator ahli materi didapatkan hasil 92% dengan kategori sangat layak, dan validator ahli media didapatkan hasil 85%. dengan kategori sangat layak. Sedangkan hasil uji coba produk pada kelompok terbatas didapatkan hasil 88% dengan kategori sangat layak. Akumulasi hasil penilaian kelayakan ahli materi dan ahli media serta penilaian uji coba produk terbatas pada pengguna didapatkan hasil sebesar 88%. yang berarti sangat layak untuk digunakan di lapangan.Kata kunci: Informasi Karir; Eksplorasi karir; Multimedia Interaktif Android.

Abstract

Pola komunikasi adalah metode atau cara kerja dalam berkomunikasi yang digunakan oleh pengirim pesan untuk menyampaikan pesannya kepada penerima pesan. Tujuannya adalah mencari cara terbaik untuk memastikan pesan disampaikan dengan jelas dan efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pola komunikasi himpunan mahasiswa pendidikan di Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan wawancara mendalam. Data dikumpulkan dari anggota Himpunan Mahasiswa Pendidikan Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta dan dianalisis melalui proses reduksi data untuk mengidentifikasi pola komunikasi yang dominan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola komunikasi yang terjalin memiliki fokus utama pada pemberian dukungan moral dan motivasi, serta perhatian dan bantuan yang diperlukan. Dukungan ini membantu membangun semangat dan kepercayaan diri anggota. Empat aspek utama yang diidentifikasi dalam pola komunikasi ini adalah keterbukaan, empati, dukungan, dan rasa positif. Keterbukaan memastikan transparansi dan akuntabilitas, empati menciptakan hubungan yang harmonis, dukungan menekankan pentingnya bantuan dan dorongan, dan rasa positif. Keterbatasan penelitian ini adalah fokus hanya pada pola komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa himpunan mahasiswa pendidikan di Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta dan penelitian ini jumlah narasumber yang diwawancara hanya 9 orang tidak semua anggota himpunan mahasiswa pendidikan diwawancara dan wawancara hanya dilakukan sekali pertemuan. Saran untuk peneliti selanjutnya adalah untuk memperluas cakupan penelitian dengan melibatkan lebih banyak organisasi mahasiswa di berbagai universitas, serta mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor lain seperti teknologi komunikasi yang digunakan dan bagaimana hal tersebut mempengaruhi pola komunikasi.Kata Kunci : Pola Komunikasi, Himpunan Mahasiswa Pendidikan A communication pattern is a method or way of working in communication used by a message sender to convey his or her message to the message receiver. The goal is to find the best way to ensure the message is delivered clearly and effectively. This study aims to determine the description of communication patterns of education student associations at the Yogyakarta University of Technology. The data analysis method used is a qualitative method with an in-depth interview approach. Data were collected from members of the Education Student Association of Yogyakarta University of Technology and analyzed through a data reduction process to identify the dominant communication patterns. The results showed that the communication patterns that were established had a main focus on providing moral support and motivation, as well as the necessary attention and assistance. This support helps build members' morale and confidence. The four main aspects identified in this communication pattern are openness, empathy, support, and positivity. Openness ensures transparency and accountability, empathy creates harmonious relationships, support emphasizes the importance of help and encouragement, and a sense of positivity. The limitations of this study are that it focuses only on the communication patterns carried out by students of the education student association at the Yogyakarta University of Technology and this study only interviewed 9 people, not all members of the education student association were interviewed and the interview was only conducted once a meeting. Suggestions for future researchers are to expand the scope of research by involving more student organizations in various universities, as well as considering other factors such as communication technology used and how it affects communication patterns.Keywords: Communication Patterns, Education Student Association

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan siswa yang kesulitan dalam mendeskripsikan suatu profesi, serta sebagian besar guru berusia lebih dari 40 tahun, sehingga kemampuan untuk memahami konsep dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran perlu dibantu dengan memberikan motivasi dalam menciptakan variasi media pembelajaran yang unik, kreatif dan menarik menggunakan bantuan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media layanan informasi karier berbantuan Animaker untuk siswa Sekolah Dasar kelas rendah dan melakukan uji kelayakan media. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research & Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Penelitian ini menghasilkan 3 produk media video berbantuan animaker sebagai media layanan informasi karier. Berdasarkan akumulasi hasil uji validasi yang dilakukan oleh ahli media, ahli materi, praktisi dan pengguna memperoleh hasil  sebesar 90,30% yang artinya sangat layak untuk digunakan di lapangan sebagai media layanan informasi karier untuk siswa Sekolah Dasar kelas rendah. Media ini dapat membantu guru kelas dalam mengembangkan media, melaksanakan layanan informasi karier, serta mendorong antusias dan motivasi siswa dalam menyimak materi.Abstract: This research was motivated by the problem of students who have difficulty in describing a profession, and most teachers are over 40 years old, so the ability to understand concepts in developing learning media needs to be helped by providing motivation in creating a variety of unique, creative and interesting learning media using the help of technology. This research aims to develop a Animaker-assisted career information service media for low-grade elementary school students and conduct media feasibility tests. This research uses Research & Development (R&D) method with ADDIE development model. This research produced 3 animaker-assisted video media products as career information service media. Based on the accumulated results of validation tests conducted by media experts, material experts, practitioners and users obtained results of 90.30% which means it is very feasible to be used in the field as a career information service media for low-grade elementary school students. These media can help class teachers develop media, provide career information services, and encourage enthusiasm and motivation in attention to material.

Abstract

Peer social support is assistance provided by age friends in the form of emotional, informational, or practical. The benefits of peer social support are diverse and have a significant impact on an individual's mental health and social development. This research aims to determine the description of the forms of social support from peers during lectures for students at Yogyakarta University of Technology. The data analysis method used is a qualitative method with an in-depth interview approach. Data was collected from final semester 2021 education students and analyzed through a data reduction process to identify the forms of social support received. The research results show that the forms of social support that students receive are predominantly appreciation, emotional and informational support. This support helps build member morale and confidence. The five main aspects identified in this form of social support are emotional support, appreciation, instruments, information and social networks. Emotional support takes the form of giving attention and affection, appreciation takes the form of praise and encouragement, instruments include practical and concrete help, information involves the provision of information, suggestions, or advice and social networks include mutual support. The limitation of this research is that it only focuses on the form of social support received by education students in the final semester of the class of 2021 at Yogyakarta Technology University and in this research the number of sources interviewed was only five people, not all education students were interviewed and the interview was only conducted in one meeting. Suggestions for future researchers are to expand the scope of research by involving more students from various universities, and to develop research related to the wider picture of peer social support in lectures for students. Dukungan sosial teman sebaya merupakan bantuan yang diberikan oleh teman- teman seumur dalam bentuk emosional, informasi, atau praktis. Manfaat dukungan sosial teman sebaya sangat beragam dan memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap kesehatan mental dan perkembangan sosial individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Gambaran Bentuk Dukungan Sosial Teman Sebaya Dalam Perkuliahan Bagi Mahasiswa di Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan wawancara mendalam. Data dikumpulkan dari Mahasiswa Pendidikan semester akhir angkatan 2021 dan dianalisis melalui proses reduksi data untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk dukungan sosial yang didapatkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk dukungan sosial yang peroleh mahasiswa dominan dukungan penghargaan, emosional dan informasi. Dukungan ini membantu membangun semangat dan kepercayaan diri anggota. Lima aspek utama yang diidentifikasi dalam bentuk dukungan sosial ini adalah dukungan emosional, penghargaan, instrumen, informasi dan jaringan sosial. Dukungan emosional berupa pemberian perhatian dan kasih sayang, penghargaan berupa pujian dan dorongan, instrumen mencakup bantuan praktis dan konkret, informasi melibatkan penyediaan informasi, saran, atau nasihat dan jaringan sosial yaitu saling mendukung. Keterbatasan penelitian ini adalah fokus hanya pada bentuk dukungan sosial yang didapatkan oleh mahasiswa pendidikan semester akhir angkatan 2021 di Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta dan penelitian ini jumlah narasumber yang diwawancara hanya lima orang tidak semua mahasiswa pendidikan diwawancara dan wawancara hanya dilakukan sekali pertemuan. Saran untuk peneliti selanjutnya adalah untuk memperluas cakupan penelitian dengan melibatkan lebih banyak mahasiswa dari berbagai universitas, serta dapat mengembangkan penelitian-penelitian terkait gambaran dukungan sosial teman sebaya dalam perkuliahan bagi mahasiswa lebih luas.

Abstract

Peredaran berbagai informasi di dunia maya sangat beragam. Remaja yang cenderung aktif di media sosial memiliki resiko besar untuk terpapar hoaks. Kemudahan dalam mengakses dan menyebarkan informasi dengan bebas tanpa meninjau kebenarannya menjadi persoalan yang berpotensi untuk menimbulkan kesalahpahaman dan konflik. Karena itu, perlu upaya preventif dan interventif yang dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan pendekatan melalui edukasi dengan menggunakan media interaktif dalam lingkup layanan informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media animasi flash dalam upaya meningkatkan critical thinking remaja melawan informasi hoaks. Metode penelitian dengan menggunakan R n D (research and development) mulai dari tahap perencanaan, desain, validasi ahli media dan ahli materi. Uji coba produk juga dilakukan pada kelompok terbatas untuk mendapatkan penilaian dari pengguna. Berdasarkan validasi ahli materi mendapatkan nilai 82,95% artinya sangat layak sedangkan menurut ahli media produk animasi dinilai sebesar 85,71% artinya juga sangat layak. Pada kelompok pengguna, produk mendapatkan nilai 84,40% dengan menggunakan standar penggunaan usability. Sesuai dengan hasil validasi dan penilaian maka hasil penelitian berupa animasi sebagai multimedia interaktif dianggap sangat layak untuk dapat digunakan dalam memberikan stimulasi positif bagi remaja dalam layanan informasi sebagai langkah membangun dan meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kritis.Abstract: The circulation of various information in cyber space is very diverse. The ease of accessing and disseminating information freely without reviewing the truth is an issue that has the potential to cause misunderstanding and conflict. Therefore, preventive and interventive efforts are needed to carry out by providing an educational approach using interactive media within the scope of information services. This study aims to produce flash animation media as an effort to improve adolescent critical thinking to fight hoax. The research method used in this study is Reseach and development starting from the planning, design, expert validation, media and material validation. Product testing is also carried out in limited groups to get ratings from users. Based on the validation of material experts, the figure is 82.96% meaning that it is very feasible. In addition, according to media experts, the figure of animation products is 85.71% which means that it is also very feasible. In the user group, the product figure is 84.40% by using the usability standard. Related to the validation results and assessment, it is implied that animation as interactive multimedia is considered very feasible to be used in providing positive stimulation for adolescents in information services as a step to build and improve critical thinking skill

Abstract

The inability to receive excitatory voice experienced by the student with hearing impairments presents diverse impacts. The impacts include difficulties in understanding the information that others convey, lengthy understanding sentences, and holding verbal communication. This research aimed to develop a reflective maternal method integrated with the Android system to improve vocabulary mastery to support students with hearing impairments to perform receptive communication. There were twelve students with hearing impairments within the 15-23 age range as the samples. This research belongs to research and development adapted from the multimedia development model for learning. Product feasibility test was performed through the alpha and beta tests. The average expert validation score was 4.25, and the average score of the material expert was 4.50. Both expert validation results were in an excellent category. Also, the results of the media experts' validation were 3.58 in the good category. Meanwhile, the average score of beta test was 3.58 in the good category. It can be concluded that Android apps can be operated via smartphones or computer devices to improve the receptive communicative ability of students with hearing impairments. This application is called Reflective Game. This research recommends an Android application program that can be used by Guidance and Counseling teacher accompanied by special school teachers to improve students' vocabulary understanding for the student with hearing impairment. Besides, it provides skills to understand proverbs, opposites (anonymous), and synonyms.
