Abstract

In patients with diabetes generally increased blood glucose levels if accompanied by excess body weight and long-lasting it can increase the risk of diabetic ulcer complications. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) values in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Klampis Ngasem Surabaya Public Health Center. The research design was an analytic observational approach with a cross-sectional study. The sample in this study was 124 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments were in terms of scales, stature meters, digital sphygmomanometers, and observation sheets. The data were analyzed using Spearman's Rho Test with significance (0.05). The results of the research showed that there was a correlation between BMI and ABI values in patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus at Klampis Ngasem Surabaya Public Health Center Surabaya (ρ value = 0.000) with a correlation coefficient (r = -0.392). BMI is one of the factors that can affect the ABI value in diabetic patients. It’s expected that health workers will help DM sufferers improve their quality of life through DM disease management behaviors by implementing a healthy lifestyle in order to reduce the risk of complications that can arise due to diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Online learning activities using games or gamified methods make students motivated, capable, and involved to participate in the learning process. There are several gamified platforms that are already available, but there are several obstacles, for example the user takes a long time to compile quizzes and some features in paid gamified so that feature utilization is not optimal. The purpose of this research is to design the user interface and user experience of the gamified platform "Ezedu". Ezedu is a learning media created lecturers and teachers to design educational games easier. The design method uses the User Centered Design (UCD) method. UCD is a term that describes the design process where the end-user will influence how the design is formed. The results of this study are user interface designs that have been adapted to user needs.

Abstract

Cardiac arrests have occurred very frequently in recent times, but not all members of the public can recognize the signs and symptoms and how to treat them. A heart attack is an emergency condition and requires quick and immediate action to prevent death. Proper education in early recognition of symptoms and how to treat them is very important because the time needed to take a patient to the hospital is often a problem. The aim of community service is to provide education and training to the online motorcycle taxi driver community in providing basic life support. This research design uses analytical observational with a cross sectional approach. The accidental sampling technique obtained 100 online motorcycle taxi drivers in the city of Surabaya. Evaluation measuring tool with questionnaires. Training is given for 2 days with blended learning. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rho Test with significance (ρ ≤ 0.05). The components measured are knowledge and readiness to help From the results, it was found that 56% of online motorcycle taxi drivers had good knowledge, and 44% of drivers had sufficient knowledge. For readiness to help, it was found that 76% of drivers showed very good readiness to help, and 24% of drivers showed sufficient readiness. The results of the Spearman Rho statistical test show a p-value of 0.001 (ρ < 0.05), thus there is significance between the provision of training and the level of knowledge of basic life support and readiness to help among online motorcycle taxi drivers in costal areas of Surabaya. The community plays an important role in helping victims before they are treated by health workers. One part of society that often witnesses incidents on the road is online motorcycle taxi drivers. With good knowledge and readiness to help, it is hoped that community resilience will be formed that is responsive to everyday emergency conditions.

Abstract

The implementation of disease prevention behavior is influenced by the level of health literacy, which consists of several aspects including information, knowledge, understanding, and decision making. Health information is an important source related to the COVID-19 pandemic, both up-to-date information, prevention of exposure, what to do during isolation, and how to communicate with COVID-19 task force officers. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between health literacy and a clean, healthy lifestyle among STIKes Hang Tuah Surabaya students to break the chain. The research design used analytic observation with a cross-sectional approach. Data collection was obtained by participants filling out a questionnaire. Data analysis used the Spearman Rho correlation test with a P-value of 0.05. The results of the study showed that most of the students' health literacy was in the adequate category, and the students' clean and healthy living behaviors were in the high category. The results of the health literacy analysis was related to clean and Healthy Living Behaviors to break the chain of transmission of the COVID-19 pandemic in STIKes Hang Tuah Surabaya students. The research implication is that adequate health literacy will improve students' abilities regarding clean and healthy behavior (PHBS) to break the chain of transmission of the COVID-19 pandemic in STIKes Hang Tuah Surabaya students

Abstract

The livelihood of the Indonesian people in the prominent grasslands is fishermen. Traditional fishermen to get a lot of fish, they use it using respiratory aids. Safety, the working health of traditional divers who breathe the burnt compressor and need to be handled properly because it can cause health problems and even death. The use of carbon as a filter that allows you to improve health status and prevent the death of traditional divers. For this reason, this study aims to prove the effectiveness of using filter filters on traditional divers. The method used to determine the concentration of O2 & CO2 gas in the economy on examination using sample gas before and after being given an activated carbon filter with a sample of 20 respondents. Statistical tests using Mann Whitney. The use of activated carbon filters has no effect on respiratory aids in traditional divers as evidenced by the Mann Whitney test showing p values at oxygen levels = 0.842 and p values at carbon dioxide levels = 0.300 ((p> α = 0.05). Activated carbon cannot be used as a respiratory aid for traditional divers and settlement of divers in traditionally carrying out effective and routine maintenance. Keywords: Traditional Divers, Compressors, Filters, Activated Carbon
