Abstract

Introduction: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is one of the most common malignancies in Indonesia with over 13.000 new cases reported yearly, especially in the male. The TNF-? serum is reported as a new biomarker to predict bone invasion, post-therapy distant metastasis, and poor life sustainability in NPC. Objective: To identify the expression of TNF-? in regards to the clinical stage of NPC. Material and methods: This is an analytic study with 126 NPC samples of patients in Haji Adam Malik General Hospital. Results: NPC mostly found in age group 41-60 years (57.1%), male (71.4%),non-keratinizing SCC (79.4%), and stage IV group (54.8%). In immunohistochemistry evaluation, most of TNF-? overexpressed in non-keratinizing SCC(68.0%), T3-T4 (50.8%), N2-N3 (62.7%) and clinical stage III-IV (69.9%). Spearman's test for categorical correlation yield a p-value of <0,001. Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between TNF-? expression and the stage of NPC.

Abstract

Deadlock adalah kondisi yang sering terjadi pada sistem operasi, dimana beberapa proses berhenti karena tidak dapat melanjutkan eksekusi karena sumber daya yang dibutuhkan oleh proses lain. Dalam artikel ini, kami akan membahas strategi dan implementasi simulasi pencegahan deadlock pada sistem operasi. Kami akan membahas konsep dasar deadlock, jenis-jenis deadlock, dan strategi pencegahan deadlock yang efektif. Selain itu, kami juga akan membahas implementasi simulasi pencegahan deadlock menggunakan algoritma dan teknologi terkini. Simulasi pencegahan deadlock dilakukan dengan menggunakan model sistem operasi yang kompleks, yang terdiri dari beberapa proses yang berinteraksi dengan sumber daya sistem operasi. Kami menggunakan algoritma pencegahan deadlock yang efektif, seperti algoritma banker dan algoritma wddy, untuk mengurangi frekuensi terjadinya deadlock.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pertumbuhan pengguna internet di Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, studi ini menggali faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi peningkatan akses internet, penggunaan, serta membahas tentang internet 5G. Data diperoleh melalui metode deskriptif, termasuk analisis resmi dari Asosiasi Penyelenggara Jasa Internet Indonesia (APJII), WeAreSocial, serta pengambilan dari berbagai jurnal yang terkait dengan materi pembahasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam jumlah pengguna internet di Indonesia serta alasan utama penggunaan internet yang digunakan oleh pengguna internet yang berusia 16 hingga 64 tahun dari data WeAreSocial, Studi ini juga mengkaji dampak potensial teknologi 5G terhadap Indonesia.

Abstract

Objective : Chronic rhinosinusitis is an inflammation of the nasal mucosa and paranasalsinuses established based on a history of rhinosinusitis lasting more than 12 weeks. Rhinosinusitis may becaused by allergies, infections and anatomical structural abnormalities or other causes such as idiopathic,nasal, hormonal, drugs, irritant, fungi, emotions, atrophy. Lingkungan VIII and X Kelurahan Tegal Sari IMedan Area District was selected as a community service partner based on location and environmentcharacterized.Method : We trained the cadres to know rhinosinusitis and we screened the population to do early detectionof the disease.Result : From 100 patients who came, 56% of them are males, with most age 21-25 years as many as 36%,while the main complaint was runny nose as many as 43%.

Abstract

Introduction: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is a malignant disease often diagnosed at an advanced stage. Early detection of NPC is necessary to reduce morbidity and mortality of this disease. To date, early detection methods for NPC still have limitations, especially in terms of positive predictive value. Identification of DNA methylation abnormalities has been studied for its role as a marker for early detection of NPC. Objective: This review describes the potential of DNMT1, an enzyme involved in DNA methylation, as a biomarker for early detection of NPC. Methods: We conducted a literature search using PubMed and Google Scholar databases. The keywords used were "nasopharyngeal carcinoma AND DNMT1", nasopharyngeal carcinoma AND early detection, "nasopharyngeal carcinoma AND screening", nasopharyngeal carcinoma OR DNMT1, “DNMT1 OR Carcinoma”, nasopharyngeal carcinoma OR screening, and nasopharyngeal carcinoma OR early detection. Results: Increased DNMT1 expression is associated with global hypermethylation which is part of the early pathogenesis of NPC. LMP1, as an oncoprotein released by EBV, increases DNMT1 expression and activity. Conclusion: High DNMT1 expression in NPC indicates its potential as an early detection method for NPC.
