Abstract

Abstract. This paper aimed to analyze the leadership of Jesus found in several narratives in the Gospel of Luke. The purpose was to find the values of hospitality in His leadership and ministry. The method used in this study is the literature study method. The result of the study showed that in His ministry, Jesus treated the poor and marginalized with respect. His ministry also emphasized equality between humans. Leaders with these hospitality values will in turn become initiators for the formation of communities that care about the poor and marginalized.Abstrak. Tulisan ini bermaksud untuk menganalisis kepemimpinan Yesus yang terdapat dalam beberapa narasi di Injil Lukas. Tujuannya adalah untuk menemukan nilai-nilai hospitalitas dalam kepemimpinan dan pelayanan-Nya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam pelayanan-Nya, Yesus memperlakukan orang-orang miskin dan orang-orang yang termarginalkan dengan hormat. Pelayanan-Nya juga menekankan kesetaraan antar-manusia. Pemimpin dengan nilai hospitalitas tersebut pada gilirannya akan menjadi penggagas bagi terbentuknya komunitas yang perduli dengan orang-orang miskin dan orang-orang yang termaginalkan.

Abstract

Profiles of IAKN Tarutung Christian Leadership Department Graduates are trainers, administrators and researchers. In the description of the graduate profile, the trainer is described that a trainer has the competence to carry out leadership training in religious institutions, non-governmental organizations, government agencies and the business/industrial world. Innature, efforts to achieve graduate profiles of researchers seek to equip students to have trainer skills through the Christian Leadership Training of Trainers Guidebook at the IAKN Tarutung Christian Leadership Department. Thepurpose of this research is as follows to design an innovative Christian Leadership Training of Trainer Handbook in the Christian Leadership Department. The research method used is researchand development (R&D). Based on the results of the research, the Christian Leadership Training of Trainers Handbook in the Christian Leadership Department is worth using.

Abstract

Christian leadership ideally reflects the leadership of Christ, which prioritizes the values of humility and respect for others, including subordinates. Respecting subordinates with a spirit of equality is challenging because there is a negative tendency in authority hegemony. However, we argue that Christian hospitality can be a spiritual formation that can accept diversity up to hierarchical differences and treat them as equals. This article offers a culture-based construction of Christian hospitality based on the Elek Marboru philosophy as a means for Christian leaders to respect their subordinates or the people they lead. Using descriptive analysis methods on literature data from studies on similar topics, the elek Barbour philosophy in the dalihan natolu culture shows an attitude of acceptance and equal treatment of groups considered subordinate, namely the Boru. This research concludes that in the context of overseas Batak culture or communities, the values of the elek marboru philosophy can be applied by leaders to respect subordinates or treat them as equals. AbstrakKepemimpinan Kristen idealnya mencerminkan kepemimpinan Kristus yang mengedepankan nilai-nilai kerendahan hati dan menghor-mati orang lain, termasuk bawahannya. Menghargai bawahan dengan spirit kesetaraan bukanlah hal yang mudah untuk dipraktikkan, karena ada kecenderungan negatif dalam hegemoni kekuasaan. Namun demikian, kami berargumentasi bahwa hospitalitas kristiani dapat menjadi formasi spiritual yang dapat menerima keberagaman hingga perbedaan hierarkis dan memperlakukannya setara.  Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menawarkan sebuah konstruksi hospitalitas kristiani berbasis budaya pada falsafah elek marboru sebagai cara pemimpin kristiani dapat menghargai bawahan atau orang yang dipimpinnya. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif pada data literatur hasil kajian dengan topik serupa, maka falsafah elek marboru dalam budaya dalihan natolu memperlihatkan sikap penerimaan dan perlakukan setara pada kelompok yang dianggap subordinasi, yakni boru. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan, bahwa dalam konteks budaya atau komunitas Batak di perantauan, nilai falsafah elek marboru dapat diterapkan oleh pemimpin dalam rangka menghargai bawahan atau memperlakukannya setara.
