Abstract

One of the plants commonly used as medicinal ingredients is tamarind leaf (Tamarindus indica L.). This plant belongs to the Leguminoceae family which has antidiabetic activity. This study aims to determine the antidiabetic activity of tamarind leaf capsule (Tamarindus indica L.) and determine the effective dose that acts as an anti-diabetic. This study used male white rabbits that had previously been induced with streptozotocin at a dose of 60 mg/kgBW. Rabbits were divided into five treatment groups, namely CMC-Na (negative control), glibenclamide 0.45 mg/kgBW (positive control) and tamarind leaf capsules at a dose of 50 mg/kgBW, 100 mg/kgBW and 200 mg/kgBW. The results obtained were analyzed by statistical test One way ANOVA and Tukey test. The results obtained that tamarind leaf capsules at a dose of 200 mg/kgBW have antidiabetic activity close to glibenclamide at a dose of 0.45 mg/kgBW. The results of the One Way ANOVA test obtained a significance value (p < 0.05) and when continued with the Tukey test, the results showed that tamarind leaf capsules at a dose of 100 mg/kgBW and a dose of 200 mg/kgBW had no significant difference in decreasing blood glucose levels. This means that both doses are effective as antidiabetic doses which are comparable to glibenclamide 0.45 mg/kgBW.

Abstract

A condition characterized by a disturbance in the amount, quality or time of sleep in an individual is often referred to as insomnia. Sleep disturbances can interfere physically, emotionally, cognitively, and socially in adults. The magnitude of the possibility of academic, emotional, health, and behavioral problems in adults can be prevented or corrected, this fact shows significantly through intervention, through improving the quality and quantity of sleep by having the advantages of lemongrass aromatherapy which without causing side effects at all is able to overcome the reduction of insomnia. Citronella essential oil has been used for centuries to reduce rashes, inflammation, infection, pain and other health conditions. The method used through health education is aimed at achieving changes in the behavior of individuals, families and communities in fostering and maintaining health, playing an active role in optimizing health in accordance with healthy living physically, mentally and socially. Providing counseling with the method used is the lecture method by explaining and explaining an understanding, idea or message orally to the target group.

Abstract

This program of community service activities aims to provide education to the public about processing palm sugar into ant sugar. With the assistance in the form of ant sugar processing equipment and education about palm sugar processing so it is not easy to taste acid can increase the knowledge of entrepreneurs in developing their businesses. Palm sugar which was originally a sugar that easily melts and is packaged in a very simple form will have a higher selling value because it is made in the form of ant sugar and packaged in such a way. The tim of this community service activity give educate in the form of the equipment. And its processing so that they are able to understand more the process of palm sugar into ant sugar.
