Keberadaan Rumah Baca sangat membantu dalam memenuhi kekurangan jasa Perpustakaan Umum. Rumah Baca Selaras Alam yang merupakan bagian dari Perpustakaan Umum kehadirannya memberikan warna tersendiri bagi masyarakat Nagari Lasi untuk memperoleh informasi yang mereka butuhkan. Sarana Prasarana yang ada di rumah Baca Selaras Alam sangat bermanfaat dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan masyarakat Nagari Lasi yang haus akan ilmu pengetahuan dan informasi. Rumah Baca Selaras Alam merupakan tempat berdiskusi, dan tempat perkumpulan bagi masyarakat Nagari Lasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil pembahasannya adalah 1) kelembagaan di Rumah Baca Selaras Alam tidak terstruktur dan tidak efektif, hal ini dilihat dari pembagian tugas dilakukan ketika melaksanakan kegiatan. 2) koleksi yang ada di Rumah Baca kurang memadai dan perlu adanya penambahan koleksi. 3) pendanaan di Rumah Baca Selaras Alam diperoleh dari swadaya masyarakat. 4) Hari Libur Sekolah merupakan jadwal kunjungan terbanyak dari Komunitas Selara Alam ini. 5) Kendala yang dihadapi di Rumah Baca adalah tidak memiliki tenaga profesional yang memiliki latar belakang pendidikan ilmu perpustakaan.

Nelvita Sari, NIM.2030304035 Judul Skripsi: “Penerapan Buku Bergilir Untuk Meningkatkan Minat Baca Masyarakat Kota Solok”. Program Studi Ilmu Perpustakaan Dan Informasi Islam, Fakultas Ushuluddin Adab dan Dakwah, Universitas Islam Negeri( UIN) Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. Pokok permasalahan dalam skripsi ini adalah mendeskripsikan ketepatan tujuan program buku bergilir diadakan untuk meningkatkan minat baca masyarakat umum kota solok, untuk mendeskripsikan ketepatan sasaran penerima program bulir yang diadakan oleh perpustakaan umum kota solok. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana ketepatan program buku bergilir berbasis inklusi sosial pada perpustakaan umum kota solok dan untuk mengetahui sasaran program bulir pada perpustakaan umum kota solok. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan pustakawan dan masyarakat penerima program bulir pada perpustakaan Umum Kota Solok. Selain itu data juga dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung dan analisis dokumen terkait dengan penerapan buku bergilir berbasis inklusi sosial pada Perpustakaan Umum Kota Solok. Yang mana bertujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan masyarakat penerima program bulir. Data dianalisis dengah langkah-langkah berupa reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kemudian data dapat diuraikan menjadi sebuah kalimat yang efektif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan program buku bergilir berbasis inklusi sosial pada Perpustakaan Umum Kota Solok sudah terlaksana dengan baik hal itu bisa dilihat dari program yang lakukan sudah berjalan sesuai yang telah direncanakan oleh Perpustakaan Umum Kota Solok. Tujuan dari program bulir ini adalah memberikan bantuan berupa buku kepada masyarakat khususnya yang berpenghasilan rendah, melalui program ini perpustakaan berupaya untuk meringankan beban ekonomi mereka dengan memberikan bantuan buku secara langsung serta untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan sosial, mengurangi kesenjangan ekonomi dan pemulihan ekonomi masyarakat. Kata kunci: : buku bergilir, inklusi sosial, perpustakaan umum.

This study examines the public relations (PR) strategies implemented by the Department of Library and Archives of Payakumbuh City in promoting the library as an effort to strengthen the library's existence. Through a qualitative approach, this study analyzes various PR strategies used, including literacy campaigns, direct promotional activities, partnerships with schools and communities, and the use of social media. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results indicate that effective PR strategies can increase public awareness and participation in the library. However, there are several obstacles such as budget limitations and human resources constraints. This study provides recommendations for the development of more innovative and efficient PR strategies to enhance the library's role in improving literacy and the quality of education in the digital era. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for other libraries facing similar challenges.

Purpose. This study aims to determine the disaster preparedness carried out by the UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar Library in disaster prevention. It is hoped that this study will be an important contribution to institutions regarding the need for a standard on disaster preparedness. Methodology. The methods used in this research use qualitative methods. In data collection researchers use direct observation techniques, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Results and discussion. The preventive measures that the library has undertaken by organizing, training, and simulating disasters are usually held by the university every year and are dedicated only to K3 officers. In addition, the library's cooperation with local cooperating with the firefighters. Responsive action makes plans and rescue efforts collections at the UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar Library, training, and disaster simulations are usually held by the university every year to occupational safety and health team. The repairs in 2009 in West Sumatra were devastated by an earthquake and caused the walls of the library to crack and the ceilings of the libraries to fall onto the shelves, as well as causing a lot of dust to burst into the books. To anticipate that, the library did a fumigation. Conclusions. Overall, the library has planned optimal disaster preparedness, which is sourced from the provision of equipment and work safety training in dealing with disasters. As a recommendation from the author, it is expected to provide disaster response training for library managers so that they can respond quickly when a disaster occurs.

This activity aims to increase community reading interest through mentoring the management of the Batubasa Nagari Library. The main focus of this program is to provide solutions to the low utilization of library facilities by the local community. The method used is a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. The mentoring process involved intensive training for librarians on collection management, comprehensive collection audits, strategic planning for collection development, as well as collaboration with external parties and the implementation of information technology. The results of the activity showed that the mentoring successfully enhanced the skills of the library managers, improved collection management, and expanded community access to relevant reading materials. Additionally, the activity fostered close collaboration between library managers and the community, resulting in increased library visit frequency. In conclusion, mentoring the management of the Nagari library proved effective in enhancing reading interest through more professional management, the use of technology, and collaboration with various stakeholders. This strategy can be applied to other village libraries to support the improvement of community literacy

This study aims to analyze the information service marketing strategies implemented at the Community Reading Center (Taman Bacaan Masyarakat/TBM) Rimba Bulan in Padang Panjang City and to formulate promotional enhancement measures to increase community utilization of literacy services. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings indicate that the TBM has actively promoted its services through both print and digital media, yet it still faces challenges such as limited human resources and budget constraints. Recommendations include intensifying the use of social media, providing digital marketing training for TBM managers, and expanding promotional partnership networks. This study is expected to contribute to the development of more effective and sustainable marketing strategies for information services in community-based libraries.

The problem studied in this research is the use of the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) as a tool for information retrieval for visitors at the Bukitinggi City Public Library. The purpose of this study is to identify the use of OPAC as an information retrieval tool and to find out the obstacles faced by users in using OPAC and efforts to overcome obstacles when searching for information using OPAC at the Bukittinggi City Public Library. The research method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques that the author uses are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study begin with data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or data verification. The results of the research that the authors found that the use of OPAC as an information search tool has not been used optimally, instead of using OPAC as a means of information retrieval, users tend to go directly to the bookshelf to browse the books they need. This is due to the lack of user understanding in using OPAC as an information retrieval tool. This statement shows that the OPAC service at the Bukittinggi City Public Library is not good, because there are obstacles faced by users, namely internal and external constraints, such as the lack of socialization of the library to library visitors. The availability of computers as a means to search for information is still lacking and there is no manual or manual for using the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC).

The management of dynamic records becomes the reference of an organization to achieve the goals of the organization. Dynamic archives will not be separated from correspondence in each unit at the agency. The background of this research is that the archives of Ushuluddin Adab and Da'wah (FUAD) IAIN Batusangkar have not been maximized. The research that the author uses is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. There were 4 informants in this assessment consisting of 1 Head of Administration and 4 archiving officers in the Faculty environment, are a receptionist manager, 3 departmental employees namely 1 Department of Library and Islamic Science Department 1 employee, Islamic Broadcast Communication 1 people and employees majoring in Islamic Political Thought 1 person. Based on observations made by the author, it can be concluded that the management of dynamic archives at the Faculty of Usuluddin Adab and Da'wah (FUAD) of Batusangkar IAIN has not run optimally, for the management of incoming and outgoing letters such as official letters, student letters in their distribution require a long time especially when the receptionist was not in place because the receptionist was a lecturer employed. Staff limitations and the difficulty in re-finding archives are due to the management of archives that are not in accordance with the standards and inadequate supporting facilities. Archival shrinkage in the Faculty of Usuluddin Adab and Da'wah has not used the Archive Retention Schedule.

University libraries exist to support the teaching , learning and research needs of their institution. This is done by providing the latest information sources for the academic community as university library users. This mission can be achieved well through effective and periodic marketing of information┬á and library services, one of which is through reference services. This article discusses the use of reference and information services in supporting distance learning as one of the impacts of the spread of the Covid 19 outbreak (current situation and the way forward). The research method is quantitative descriptive┬á research, with 78 respondents and using literature related to the transformation of reference services in the digital era. Data collection is processed based on the results of observations, interviews of the IAIN Batusangkar library reference service and other college libraries in providing online reference services. The analysis explains the presence of a reference service for students, especially Library Science students at IAIN Batusangkar. Analyzing how the media can help reference librarians in providing optimal services to the academic community remotely. Describe the strategies that reference librarians can use in creating real time reference transactions in a technology environment while maintaining the main function of reference services. Introducing the idea of a ÔÇÿnew faceÔÇÖ model of reference and information services for the IAIN Batusangkar library in the period of distance learning, especially the rapid change in learning systems as a result of the corona virus outbreak ( covid 19). Libraries need to improve the reference service system they provide, so that the academic community can meet their information needs through library services remotely, anytime and anywhere. At the end of this paper, it is intended that librarians, especially reference librarians. Continue to serve readers with different needs, librarians must walk across the library, access computer screens from all campus intranet systems, answer emails and explore other interactive tools to reach customers in an effective, practical and effective way. Efficient in order to always satisfy users and keep closer to them, as the main purpose of the presence of reference services.
