Abstract

Abstract

As an Islamic movement, Muhammadiyah not only focuses on religious aspects, but also plays an active role in political and legal developments in Indonesia. This role is manifested in constitutional da'wah. This article aims to examine Muhammadiyah's constitutional da'wah strategy in responding to challenges in the post-truth era. In addition, this article also explains Muhammadiyah's efforts in maintaining a balance between Islamic values and the spirit of nationalism. This research is qualitative-descriptive with a library research approach by examining various relevant primary and secondary sources. Some of these sources include official documents of Muhammadiyah, decisions of the Constitutional Court, books, scientific journals, and credible online media. The results of this study show that 1) Muhammadiyah has shown its role in constitutional da'wah on the dynamics of law in Indonesia; 2) Muhammadiyah coordinates the Progressive Islamic Ideology and National Commitment in service to the Nation; and 3) Muhammadiyah faces the challenges of the post-truth era by prioritizing the main strategy of constitutional da'wah through strengthening literacy, continuous education, community empowerment, and optimization of social media in strengthening public opinion based on objective facts. The academic implication of this research is the formation of a conceptual framework for the constitutional da'wah approach in an effort to strengthen ideology and strengthen national commitment in the post-truth era.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Earthquakes are natural disasters that frequently occur and cause serious impacts, including physical destruction and injuries among victims. Data indicate that the incidence of earthquakes, particularly in Indonesia, continues to rise each year, thereby requiring rapid and appropriate management through effective evacuation and victim transportation. However, public knowledge, especially among students, remains low, highlighting the need for educational programs to improve their ability to conduct evacuation and transportation during earthquake disasters. This community service activity was carried out to enhance students’ skills in performing evacuation and transportation of earthquake victims. This community service was carried out using the CERDAS method (Lecture, Demonstration, and Simulation), involving 4 groups consisting of 16 participants. The evaluation was conducted using a skills checklist during simulation. The results showed the percentage of achievement relative to the maximum score in each group, with 84.09% in group 1, 86.36% in group 2, 90.90% in group 3, and 86.36% in group 4. The SMART method can be used to improve aid and transportation for earthquake victims. This needs to be done routinely to improve students' evacuation and transportation skills. Keywords: Disaster Emergency Response, Earthquake, Evacuation and Transportation

Abstract

ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) is a cardiology emergency that requires prompt and accurate management to prevent mortality and serious complications. One of the main challenges in STEMI management is system delay, which is often influenced by two key factors: onset-to-door time and door-to-ECG time. This study aims to analyze the relationship between STEMI onset and door-to-ECG time with system delay in patients presenting to the Emergency Department (ED). This research was an observational quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach, conducted at H. Adam Malik General Hospital, Medan, during the period of September to December 2022. The sample consisted of 86 STEMI patients selected through total sampling. The independent variables were onset time and door-to-ECG time, while the dependent variable was system delay. Data collection instruments included medical record observation forms and a service time stopwatch. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank test with a significance level of <0.05. The results showed that 69.8% of patients experienced system delay (≥90 minutes). Most onset times were within the range of 6–10 hours (31.4%), while the fastest door-to-ECG time occurred within 0–3 minutes (44.2%). Statistical tests indicated that both onset time and door-to-ECG time were significantly associated with system delay, with p-values of 0.008 and 0.007, respectively. It can be concluded that the longer the STEMI onset and the slower the ECG is performed after the patient arrives at the ED, the greater the likelihood of system delay. Therefore, public education is necessary to improve early recognition of heart attack symptoms, along with enhanced triage efficiency and rapid ECG protocols in the emergency department.
