Abstract

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is one of the important aspects in the construction world that is often overlooked, especially in simple building projects in rural areas. This program aims to socialize the importance of occupational safety and health (K3) to simple construction workers in Naumbai Village. The material presented includes the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), identification of potential hazards in the work environment, safe work procedures, and mitigation of work accident risks. The activity is carried out through three main stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The implementation stage includes counseling to workers, simulation of the use of PPE, group discussions, and distribution of educational media. Evaluation is carried out by filling out questionnaires and interviews with workers, field staff, and project managers. Abstract

This activity was carried out to improve the understanding of planners in the Kampar Regency Government regarding earthquake-resistant building planning. The method used was a rapid visual evaluation (Rapid Visual Screening/RVS) based on the FEMA P-154 guidelines. Socialization was carried out through the delivery of technical materials, training, and discussion sessions with participants. The results of the activity showed that most of the buildings analyzed had a structural feasibility value for earthquakes, with scores above the safe threshold. However, several parameters such as irregularity in building shape and soil type are still of concern. With this activity, it is hoped that participants will be able to understand the basic concept of earthquake-resistant structural planning and be able to apply it in the construction of government buildings in the Kampar Regency area.

Abstract

This activity optimizes waste management based on TPS 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) in Batu Belah Village with an educational and participatory approach to support environmentally conscious development. The program is implemented as a form of support for reducing the volume of waste disposed of at the Final Disposal Site (TPA), while increasing public awareness in sorting and managing waste from its source. The methods used include a survey of the condition of TPS 3R, socialization to the community, and technical training on waste management according to the 3R principles.
