Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of virtual learning as an implication of the progress of Science and Technology in learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma’arif Limbangan Purbalingga Regency. Advances in science and technology bring influence in various fields, including in education. However, in the application of science and technology there are still many problems faced by teachers, including the limited facilities and the ability or experience of teachers. Whereas teachers should be able to take advantage of the progress of this science and technology in creating quality and better education. The impact of this globalization can affect learning in the future. Globalization can trigger a shift in conventional learning into modern learning. Teachers who have implemented virtual learning need to pay attention to the ways and approaches taken so that the learning is more effective and does not burden the students. The research method used is qualitative analysis. This study concludes that virtual learning in MI Ma'arif NU Limbangan Purbalingga District has two models of approaches, namely virtual learning with a psychological approach and a technological approach.

Abstract

This study aims to apply the discovery learning method to improve learning outcomes in recognizing object shapes in grade 2 students of MI Ma'arif NU 01 Pandansari. The discovery learning method was chosen because it can increase students' active involvement in the learning process through their own discovery. This study uses a classroom action research (CAR) approach with the research subjects being grade 2 students consisting of 25 students. The research procedures include planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Learning using the discovery learning method is carried out through a series of activities that involve students in exploring object shapes directly, such as through games or observation activities. The results of the study showed an increase in student learning outcomes after the application of the discovery learning method. Before this method was applied, students had a limited understanding of object shapes, but after learning, students' understanding increased significantly, as evidenced by better test results and students' ability to recognize various object shapes. Thus, it can be concluded that the discovery learning method is effective in improving learning outcomes in recognizing object shapes in grade 2 students of MI Ma'arif NU 01 Pandansari.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the science process skills of fourth grade students in Natural Sciences (IPA) through the application of a project-based learning approach. Science process skills include observation, classification, data interpretation, designing experiments, and communicating research results. However, in practice, many students have difficulty in developing these skills due to learning methods that are still centered on the teacher and do not actively involve students in exploration and problem solving. This study uses a classroom action research (CAR) method consisting of two cycles. Each cycle includes the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were 24 fourth grade students of MIM Tinggarjaya. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively to see the development of students' science process skills from each learning cycle. The results showed that the application of project-based learning was able to significantly improve students' science process skills. In the first cycle, students' process skills were still in the sufficient category with an average score of 65. However, after improvements and strengthening of learning strategies in the second cycle, the average score increased to 82, with more than 80% of students reaching the good to very good category. This improvement can be seen from the increasing ability of students to make observations, make hypotheses, conduct simple experiments, and present research results in the form of reports or presentations. The conclusion of this study is that the project-based learning approach can be an effective solution in improving students' science process skills. With project-based learning, students are more active, creative, and able to develop critical thinking skills and problem solving in a scientific context. Therefore, it is recommended for educators to integrate this approach into science learning in order to improve the quality of learning and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to implement the Jarimatika method in Mathematics subjects in grade IV MI Ma'arif NU Bentul to improve student learning outcomes. Jarimatika is a finger-based calculation technique that helps students understand basic arithmetic operations faster and easier. This method is expected to improve students' understanding of Mathematics concepts and motivate them to learn more actively. The approach used in this study is quantitative with an experimental method. The subjects of the study consisted of two groups, namely the experimental group using the Jarimatika method and the control group using the conventional method. Data were collected through learning outcome tests before and after the implementation of the Jarimatika method, as well as through observation and interviews with teachers and students. The results showed that the implementation of the Jarimatika method significantly improved student learning outcomes compared to conventional methods. In addition, students who used this method were more motivated and showed a higher interest in learning Mathematics. Therefore, the Jarimatika method can be used as an effective learning alternative in improving Mathematics learning outcomes in elementary schools.
