Abstract

Indonesia's Foreign Policy has played an essential role in determining the direction of this country's international relations. One example is the termination of Indonesia's participation in the Inter-Governmental Group on Indonesia (IGGI) in 1992. This study analyses the factors underlying Indonesia's foreign policy decision to terminate the IGGI. Using a historical approach and foreign policy analysis, this research highlights the political, economic and strategic factors influencing these policies. The results show that Indonesia's termination of the IGGI was a response to regional and global political dynamics at the time and shifts in Indonesia's foreign policy priorities. The implications of terminating the IGGI on Indonesia's bilateral relations with donor countries and Indonesia's domestic political dynamics are also debated in this analysis. This study provides important insights into the relationship between Indonesian foreign policy and regional political dynamics in the past and its relevance in the current context of Indonesian foreign policy.

Abstract

Indonesia is a significant producer and exporter of oil, a commodity that plays a vital role in the economy of the entire world. Within the scope of this study, the dynamics of Indonesia's oil exports and imports, as well as its membership status in OPEC, are investigated. To have a better understanding of the influence that Indonesia's membership in OPEC has had on the country's economy and the role that Indonesia plays in the global oil market, a detailed examination of Indonesia's oil trade data is utilised. The findings of this study have the potential to offer significant insights that Indonesia can use in its economic strategy and its connection with international oil organisations.

Abstract

This article discusses the political-economic challenge facing UNASUR members. The regional integration forum UNASUR promotes political, economic, and social cooperation in South America. This institution has encountered tremendous challenges in recent years, primarily due to global economic forces and clashing internal political agendas. This article examines how economic issues like commodity reliance and macroeconomic volatility affect internal politics in each country using policy analysis. This political economic problem hinders UNASUR's integration and regional stability. This study also shows how external actors and international interactions affect UNASUR's political-economic processes. Finally, to help UNASUR achieve regional integration and sustainable development in South America, this paper proposes numerous policy changes.

Abstract

This article examines the political and economic dilemma faced by member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The GCC consists of six countries in the Gulf region that have abundant natural resources, especially oil and gas. These dilemmas include high dependence on revenues from the energy sector, challenges of economic diversification, imbalanced economic development among GCC members, as well as complex regional geopolitical influences. This paper also offers several policy recommendations to strengthen regional economic integration and reduce dependence on the energy sector, with the aim of maintaining economic stability and sustainability in the region.

Abstract

This article reviews the contribution of feminist theory to the understanding of individual identity and subjectivity. Feminist theory highlights that a person's identity and subjective experiences are not neutral or isolated, but are deeply influenced by social and gender position in society. This approach broadens our view of subjectivity by recognizing the diversity of individual experiences based on factors such as gender, social class, race, and sexuality. This article also examines feminist criticism of universalism in identity theory, as well as how feminism invites to see individuals as complex subjects within existing power dynamics and social structures.

Abstract

This article examines the political economy dilemma faced by member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (UEE), a regional economic bloc consisting of countries in Eurasia. The UEE includes several countries with significant natural resource wealth and broad economic diversity. Focusing on the challenges of economic diversification, this article analyzes UEE's efforts to reduce dependence on the energy sector and develop other economic sectors. This research also explores the internal political dynamics that influence economic decisions in the context of UEE regional integration.

Abstract

This article reviews the political economic dilemma faced by member countries of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) in South Asia. SAARC, as a regional cooperation forum, faces various challenges in promoting balanced and inclusive economic integration in the region. SAARC member countries show varying levels of economic development, while infrastructure inequality and dependence on certain economic sectors are major obstacles. This article highlights efforts to increase cooperation in trade, infrastructure investment, and policy harmonization as crucial steps to address these challenges. In the complex geopolitical context of South Asia, regional policy implementation is often faced with internal political constraints and coordination among SAARC member states. The conclusion of this article emphasizes the need for close cooperation and strong commitment from all parties involved to achieve inclusive and sustainable economic growth in the SAARC region.

In the context of regional economic integration, island countries in the Pacific face unique challenges related to development inequality, limited infrastructure, and economic dependence on certain sectors. SADC is a regional organization that aims to promote economic cooperation among countries in the region. However, despite the enormous potential for economic integration and development, SADC members often face complex political economic challenges.
