Abstract

[English]: The present study examines the improvement of students' mathematical proficiency in linear equation topics using local instruction theory (LIT) with a realistic mathematics education (RME) approach. This research employed a quasi-experiment, one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample was 37 secondary school students at SMP Negeri 1 South Halmahera, class VIII. The instrument used is a mathematical proficiency test consisting of 4 essay questions. Data were analyzed using the prerequisite test, Mann-Whitney test, Cohens (d) effect sizes test, and the gain value was determined. As a result, there are differences in students’ mathematical proficiency before and after implementing LIT through the RME approach. The influence of LIT with the RME approach on mathematics proficiency is very high. The students can define a linear equation, determine the slope of the line, construct a linear equation, integrate the linear graphs, and determine solutions for the linear equation problems. [Bahasa]: Penelitian ini mengkaji peningkatan kemampuan matematis siswa pada materi persamaan garis lurus menggunakan local instruction theory (LIT) melalui pendekatan realistic mathematics education (RME). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi-eksperimen, one-group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa SMP Negeri 1 Halmahera Selatan kelas VIII sebanyak 37 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan matematis yang terdiri atas 4 soal essai. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji prasyarat, uji Mann-Whitney, uji Cohens (d) effect sizes, dan juga dilakukan perhitungan nilai gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan matematis antara sebelum dan setelah penerapan LIT dengan pendekatan RME. Pengaruh LIT dengan pendekatan RME terhadap kemampuan matematis siswa berkategori sangat tinggi. Siswa mampu mendefinisikan persamaan garis lurus, mampu menentukan kemiringan suatu garis lurus, dapat menyusun persamaan garis lurus, mengintegrasikan suatu grafik garis lurus, dan menentukan solusi dari masalah yang berkaitan dengan persamaan garis lurus.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi guru-guru MAN Sula dalam menyusun modul ajar Kurikulum Merdeka berbasis deep learning dengan pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan (AI). Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR), yang melibatkan guru secara aktif dalam seluruh tahapan siklus: perencanaan, aksi, evaluasi, dan refleksi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui forum MGMP dengan melibatkan 15 guru dari berbagai mata pelajaran. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh guru berhasil menyusun modul ajar sesuai capaian pembelajaran Kurikulum Merdeka 2025. Modul yang dihasilkan memuat strategi pembelajaran berbasis proyek, asesmen autentik, serta integrasi sederhana AI, seperti pembuatan soal adaptif. Proses presentasi dan refleksi memperlihatkan adanya peningkatan kreativitas, literasi digital, serta kepercayaan diri guru dalam merancang pembelajaran bermakna. Meskipun terdapat kendala berupa keterbatasan infrastruktur digital dan kesenjangan literasi teknologi, forum MGMP dengan pendekatan PAR terbukti mampu mengatasi hambatan melalui kolaborasi dan saling dukung antar guru. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini tidak hanya menghasilkan produk modul ajar, tetapi juga memperkuat budaya kolaboratif dan profesionalisme guru di MAN Sula.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the application of artificial intelligence (AI) on students' learning motivation in the digital era, focusing on the local context in North Maluku. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data was collected through a survey involving 150 respondents from various educational institutions in Ternate. The results of the study show that the integration of AI in learning can increase student motivation through an interactive and adaptive approach, as well as enable personalization of the learning experience. AI-based applications, such as Grammarly and Turnitin, have been shown to improve student learning outcomes by between 15-25%. However, challenges such as over-reliance on technology and limited infrastructure in the region were also identified. This study recommends the development of technology-based education policies, continuous training for educators, and equitable access to technology infrastructure to maximize the benefits of AI in education. These findings are expected to contribute significantly to the development of educational policies that are relevant to contemporary needs.
