Abstract

Sumang adalah budaya pantang larang dalam masyarakat etnis Gayo yang hampir punah di pedalaman provinsi Aceh Indonesia, terlarang karena segala tindakan sumang dianggap bertentangan dengan ajaran Islam dan adat istiadat. Sumang sebagaimana yang dimaksud berkaitan dengan budi pekerti atau lebih cenderung pada Akhlak. Sopan santun yang dijunjung tinggi masyarakat mengikat seluruh komponen masyarakat, ini dijadikan norma yang mengatur bangaimana setiap individu harus menjaga bagaimana bersikap dan bertindak antar sesama, baik antara laki-laki dan perempuan serta yang muda kepada yang lebih tua yang harus menjaga batas kesopanan, etika duduk, etika berbicara, etika berjalan serta etika melihat segala sesuatu yang diatur sedemikian rupa yang mengacu kepada syari’at dan adat. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif etnografi, dengan menggali tokoh adat, tokoh masyarakat suku Gayo, dan anggota masyarakatnya. Pengumpulan data ini menggunakan pengamatan, dialektika, wawancara etnografis, dan dokumentasi etnografer. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan analisis domain, analisis taksonomik, analisis komponen, dan penyajian kesimpulan etnografi. Sebagai hasil penelitian, aktualisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam dalam budaya sumang pada Masyarakat suku Gayo terkandung dalam empat pilar yaitu, Sumang Peceraken (tabu perkataan), Sumang Kenunulen (Tabu duduk), Sumang Pelangkahan (Tabu Perjalanan), dan Sumang Penengonen (Tabu penglihatan). Dari keempat pilar Sumang tersebut mencakup nilai Instrinsik dan Instrumental, yakni integrasi nilai-nilai syari’at dan adat, berupa nilai Keimanan, nilai Ibadah, dan nilai akhlak yang bersinergis dengan nilai-nilai adat Gayo, yaitu mukemel, tertib, amanah, setie, alangtulung, dan bersikekemelen. Aktualisasi dari nilai-nilai tersebut signifikan dengan tujuan pendidikan Islam dan pendidikan nasional dalam merestorasi karakter masyarakat Gayo pada khususnya Kata kunci: Pendidikan Nilai, Budaya Sumang, Etnis Gayo

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Cipatangga in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) on the topic of Welcoming Puberty through the implementation of the cooperative learning model Take and Give. The problem underlying this research is the low learning outcomes of students on the topic, as reflected in the students' average scores of 67,5, which are still below the expected standard. The research also focuses on creating an active, creative, and engaging learning environment. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles during the first semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, involving 10 students as subjects. Data were collected using observation sheets and tests, analyzed using percentage formulas, and presented descriptively. The results showed a significant improvement in students' average scores from 67.5 in the pre-cycle to 78.5 in the first cycle, and 91.4 in the second cycle. The percentage of students achieving mastery increased from 40% in the pre-cycle to 70% in the first cycle, and 100% in the second cycle. Student activity levels rose from 81% in the first cycle to 90% in the second cycle, while teacher performance increased from 90% to 94%. In conclusion, the Take and Give learning model significantly enhances both the learning process and students' outcomes in Islamic Religious Education. This model is effective and recommended for improving the quality of education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Integrasi teknologi digital dalam dunia pendidikan telah menjadi kebutuhan mendesak, terutama dalam meningkatkan minat dan antusiasme membaca siswa Sekolah Dasar. Masih rendahnya antusiasme membaca siswa menunjukkan adanya kesenjangan antara pendekatan literasi konvensional dengan kebutuhan generasi digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran literasi digital dalam meningkatkan antusiasme membaca melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilaksanakan secara hybrid di Bangkok. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup identifikasi kebutuhan, pelatihan literasi digital, pemanfaatan aplikasi membaca interaktif, dan evaluasi awal terhadap perubahan perilaku literasi siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterlibatan siswa dalam membaca, peningkatan kapasitas guru dalam memanfaatkan media digital, serta sinergi antara sekolah dan orang tua dalam mendukung literasi berbasis teknologi. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi literasi digital berkontribusi signifikan terhadap pembentukan ekosistem literasi yang kontekstual, menyenangkan, dan berkelanjutan bagi siswa Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

The number of senior high school (SMA/MA) graduates in Central Aceh in 2022 reached 48,481; however, the number of students continuing on to higher education remains very low. This study aims to identify factors influencing the low interest of 12th-grade students in pursuing higher education and to provide guidance in study and career planning. The method used was Community-Based Research (CBR), which involved active student participation in the process of identifying problems and finding solutions. The results showed that participants experienced an increased understanding of the importance of higher education, were able to identify barriers such as financial issues and mindsets, and began planning further studies and considering career options after graduating from high school. Furthermore, participants received information about affordable public university alternatives, such as IAIN Takengon, as a relevant solution aligned with the local economic conditions.
