Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan memeriksa miskonsepsi yang terdapat pada buku teks biologi, dan seberapa besar miskonsepsi yang terdapat pada buku teks biologi. Sampel berjumlah 2 buku dengan teknik penyuplikan secara purposif. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa indikator miskonsepsi pada buku teks, kisi-kisi pengembangan konsep dan indikator kategori miskonsepsi buku teks. Hasil penelitian terhadap 2 buku biologi SMA kelas X berbasis KTSP 2006 dan K13 yang digunakan di sekolah Kota Tebing Tinggi tahun pelajaran 2014-2015 ditemukan 20 miskonsepsi, Misidentifications (MI) sebesar 20%, Overgeneralizations (OG) sebesar 10%, Oversimplifications (OS) sebesar 45%, Undergeneralizations (UG) sebesar 20% dan Obsolote Concepts and Terms (OCT) sebesar 5%. Pada Buku “X” ditemukan sebanyak 6 miskonsepsi, yakni  Misidentifications (MI) 33,3%, Oversimplifications (OS) 50%, Undergeneralizations (UG) 16,7%. Buku “Y” ditemukan sebanyak 14 miskonsepsi, yakni Misidentifications (MI) 14,28%, Overgeneralizations (OG) 14,28%, Oversimplifications (OS) 42,85%, Undergeneralizations (UG) 21,42% dan Obsolote Concepts and Terms (OCT) 7,14%. Jadi yang paling banyak miskonsepsi dalam buku teks adalah buku “Y”. Miskonsepsi tentang suatu konsep yang tidak tepat, salah dalam penjelasan konsep atau penjabaran yang terlalu menyederhanakan dan tidak sesuai dengan pengertian ilmiahnya.

Abstract

This study was conducted in SMA Se-Langkat which aims to determine the level of difficulty biologyteacher (1) SMA As Langkat; (2) that have been certified (3) that has not been certified in high schoolBiotechnology As Langkat; (4) which is taught in public schools; and (5) are taught in private schools. Thesesamples included 40 teachers of biology of the population 40 teachers from 19 high school biology As Langkat.The research instrument is a non tests that documentation, questionnaire, interview and observation sheet.The results showed the difficulty level biology teachers: (1) SMA As Langkat classified as moderate (58.61%); (2)that have been certified very low (18.42%); (3) that has not been certified is low (41.68%); (4) who teach inpublic schools classified as very low (28.64%); (5) who teach in private schools classified as very low (29.54%).Results of this study mengiplikasi importance of addressing the difficulties faced by teachers withcommunication between teachers of biology utilizing discussion forum subject teachers (MGMP) and the needto facilitate schools with facilities and infrastructure that support the learning success.Keywords: Analysis of the Difficulties Teachers, Learning Tools, Biotechnology

Abstract

This study was aimed to analyze the student’s misconception on human circulatory system topic andalso to determine the effectivity of interactive multimedia to reduce students misconception that experiencedby students of XII IPA grade in SMA Negeri 1 Berastagi. The study consisted of two parts. Firstly is descriptive toinvestigate student’s misconception on human circulatory system topic. Secondly quasi experimental researchused after learning process. Quasi experimental research used to determine the effectivity of interactivemultimedia in reducing student’s misconception. The experimental used one group pretest and posttest design.Instrument that used for detecting students misconception were two dimensional diagnostic test and essaytest, for reducing students misconception by using interactive multimedia as learning media. Student’smisconception reduce 42.46% in group that using interactive multimedia as learning media and reduce 14.8%in group without interactive multimedia. Based on the calculation, it was got 0.57 as gain index value in groupthat using interactive multimedia and 0.30 as gain index value in group without interactive multimedia. The ttestresult was tcount (6.598) and ttable (1.699), so tcount (6.598) > ttable (1.699). It was conclude that interactivemultimedia is effective to reduce student’s misconception on human circulatory system in SMA Negeri 1Berastagi Class XII IPA A.Y. 2016/2017.Keywords: Misconception, Students’ Misconception, Human Circulatory System

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh model pembelajaran firing lineterhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa. Sampel penelitian diambil di sekolah SMA Negeri 1 Pancur Batu secaracluster random sampling, yaitu kelas XI IPA3 (30 orang) yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran firingline dan XI IPA2 (35 orang) yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Dalam pelaksanaanmodel pembelajaran firing line dilakukan kegiatan pemberian jawaban terhadap soal-soal yang tersedia berupakartu soal dengan formasi yang menampilkan pasangan secara bergilir. Dari analisis data, diperoleh bahwarata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran firing line ( =71.70) lebih tinggi dari hasilbelajar siswa yang diajar dengan model konvensional ( =62,70). Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dengantaraf signifikansi (α=0.05) diperoleh thitung>ttabel (3,57>1,99) yang berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka dapatdisimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran firing line berupa peningkatan hasilbelajar biologi siswa pada sub materi jaringan pada tumbuhan di kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Pancur Batu T.P.2016/2017.Kata kunci : Hasil Belajar, Jaringan pada Tumbuhan, model pembelajaran firing line

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the feasibility of digital comic-based learning media and to examine its effect on student’s learning outcome in cell material. Learning media was developed according to the 4D development model of Thiagarajan which consisted of four stages, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. Media was validated by contentl expert, media expert, and learning expert. The suggestion from biology teacher and students of class XI MIA 2 SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan were asked. The data of study were obtained through validation instruments, questionnaires, and cognitive test. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The result of the study showed that the developed comic media was considered very feasible by material expert (94,38%), media expert (89,34%), and learning expert (96,00%). Comic was considered very feasible too both by biology teachers (93.22%) and by students (92.38%).  The results of the paired sample t-test on the pre-test and post-test score of 0.00 > 0.05 indicate that the post-test score is bigger than the pre-test score. The data showed that the result of cognitive test had increased significantly after using the developed digital comic media.
