This study discusses the translation errors of the Indonesian subtitles from the Japanese drama Ichi Rittoru no Namida ?One Liter Tears? by Masanori Murakami, released at Fuji Terebi in 2005. There is no reference to similar study about the translation of oral dialogues of Japanese characters who were later translated into in Indonesian is of interest in this study. This study aims to identify the variety of Japanese drama Ichi Rittoru no Namida?s translation errors (subtitles). The formulation of the problem is examined with translation theory, types of translations and translation strategies. Furthermore, the data of this study are sentences or conversations in Japanese as the source language (SL) and Indonesian (subtitle) as the target language (TL) taken from episodes 1 to 6. The data are described using descriptive-qualitative methods. The results of this study are translation errors identified in diction choices, excessive use of words, grammatical errors, shifts in translation and errors due to cultural influences. Some examples of findings include the choice of diction like the word touzen translates to ?legitimate?, excessive use of words such as the word gomen ne to ?I am very sorry?, grammatical errors such as the phrase kondo no kusuri traced to ?the medicine he is taking?, the translation shift as in the noun phrase todoufuken ga shiteishita ishi no shindansho it becomes ?specified special health service? and errors due to cultural influences such as the yoroshiku expression becomes ?dependent on you?. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni mendeskripsikan makna simbol topeng tengu dalam anime Kimetsu no Yaiba karya Koyoharu Gotouge. Alasan penelitian ini yakni, da-lam setiap kesempatan berlatih dengan gurunya, Tanjiro melihat Kakek Guru Uro-kodaki selalu menggunakan topeng tengu berwarna merah yang dianggap memiliki makna atau simbol tertentu bagi masyarakat Jepang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan teknik studi simak dan catat. Lalu, teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif. Selanjutnya, teori yang digunakan berkaitan dengan hubungan penandaan dengan menggunakan teori segitiga triadik Peirce yang terdiri atas 3 elemen yaitu, representamen, interpretan dan objek. Selanjutnya, teori trikotomi tanda di bagian simbol, topeng tengu dan teori warna merah. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah anime Kimetsu no Yaiba. Hasil pembahasan yakni, makna simbol topeng tengu dalam anime Kimetsu no Yaiba karya Koyoharu Gotouge yaitu sebagai sosok seorang guru atau pelatih bela diri yang berkarakter keras, tegas, disiplin, humoris, humanis, bijak, optimis, serta pemberi motivasi.

摂南大学は2008年にインドネシア・スラバヤのストモ博士大学と大学間協定（ＭＯＵ）を締結した。これまでに34名の学生を半年あるいは一年間の留学プログラムで派遣している。ストモ博士大学には”Penulisan Karya Ilmiah”という授業があり、留学生たちは半年ごとに自身の関心に基づいたテーマを設定し、2000字程度の研究論文を仕上げることになっている。一般的に、半年あるいは一年間という限られた期間での留学の場合、語学学修が主となっている。ストモ博士大学の場合は、”Studi Lapangan”といわれるフィールドワークの実践授業を踏まえつつ、研究論文を仕上げることになる。そこで、本発表においては留学生たちがどういった問題関心に基づき、論文テーマを設定し、それについてどのような取り組みをしているのかを明らかにし、今後の留学プログラムの改善の方策を考えてみることとしたい。キーワード：BIPA; penulisan karya ilmiah; Setsunan; Unitomo

Penelitian ini membahas tentang tema dan amanat dalam lagu Anata (あなた) yang dipopulerkan oleh L`Arc~en~Ciel (Laruku). Dalam menentukan tema, peneliti menggunakan teori Nurgiyantoro dan Shipley. Selanjutnya, dalam menentukan amanat, peneliti menggunakan teori Nurgiyantoro dan Sudjiman. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi tema dan amanat dalam lirik lagu Anata (あなた) tersebut. Manfaat penelitian ini yakni, diharapkan memberi wawasan pembaca tentang tema dan amanat yang muncul dalam lirik lagu Anata dan menjadi referensi penelitian selanjutnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan data berupa lirik dalam 7 bait lagu Anata. Hasil penelitian ini yakni, tema lagu Anata (あなた) adalah perjuangan dan cinta yang tergolong dalam tema tingkatan sosial menurut Shipley, karena pada hakikatnya manusia sebagai makhluk sosial membutuhkan dan mengharapkan kehadiran orang lain seperti para penggemar (fans) atau keluarga serta pasangan hidup untuk tetap bertahan dan mengembangkan diri. Lalu, amanat dalam lagu ini adalah hendaknya seseorang senantiasa tidak putus asa melainkan terus berjuang mengatasi masalah hingga selesai. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pendampingan serta bimbingan dengan bentuk workshop pengenalan dan penulisan artikel dalam jurnal ilmiah bagi pengurus dan anggota Forum Lingkar Pena (FLP) Sidoarjo. Hal ini didasari oleh cita-cita dan harapan mitra guna meningkatkan dan menumbuhkan aktivitas literasi dalam ruang lingkup penulisan artikel nonfiksi berwujud artikel ilmiah yang diterbitkan di jurnal. Oleh karena itu, mitra bekerja sama dengan Tim Abdimas Fakultas Sastra Unitomo mengadakan workshop berbentuk teori dan praktik yang sebelumnya diawali dengan analisis situasi keadaan kebutuhan mitra melalui dialog dan koordinasi secara intensif selama dua bulan lebih dari pertengahan bulan April hingga Juni 2022. Metode yang digunakan di kegiatan workshop ini adalah metode ABCD (Asset Based Community Development). Materi yang disampaikan ke partisipan meliputi tiga yaitu, jurnal ilmiah dan fungsinya, pembuatan jurnal ilmiah baru beserta pengenalan menu OJS, penulisan artikel ilmiah yang baik. Selanjutnya, praktik menulis draf artikel ilmiah dimulai pendahuluan hingga metode penelitian dilaksanakan partisipan dan dibimbing narasumber. Hasil dan manfaat workshop ini untuk partisipan adalah pengetahuan perihal jurnal ilmiah beserta manfaatnya meningkat, pengetahuan cara membuat jurnal ilmiah baru beserta manajemennya di OJS meningkat, dan partisipan juga dapat melaksanakan praktik menulis draf artikel bersistematika jurnal ilmiah secara sederhana. Rencana tindak lanjut kegiatan ini yakni, mitra Forum Lingkar Pena (FLP) Sidoarjo dapat bekerja sama kembali dengan Tim Abdimas Fakultas Sastra dalam workshop kedua yang difokuskan pada teknik dan pembahasan penulisan artikel ilmiah dalam jurnal penelitian.This community service activity aims to provide assistance and guidance through an introductory workshop and writing an article in a scientific journal for Forum Lingkar Pena (FLP) Sidoarjo members. This is based on the partners’ aspirations and hopes to increase and foster literacy activities within the scope of writing nonfiction articles in the form of scientific articles published in journals. Therefore, FLP Sidoarjo works together with the Unitomo Faculty of Letters Abdimas Team to hold a workshop in the form of theory and practice, which previously began with an analysis of the situation of partner needs through intensive dialogue and coordination for two months from mid-April to June 2022. The method presented in workshop activities is ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) method. The material in the form of the theory given to the participants consisted of 3: scientific journal and their functions, the creation of a new scientific journal and introduction to the OJS menu, and writing a good scientific article. The next activity, namely, the practice of writing scientific article drafts from the introduction until the research method, was carried out by the participants and guided by the presenters. The result and benefits of this workshop for the participants were that their knowledge of scientific journals and their functions increased, their understanding of the creation of new scientific journal and their management in OJS also increased, and the participants were also able to practice writing drafts of articles in a simple scientific journal format. The follow-up plan for this activity is that the Sidoarjo Forum Lingkar Pena (FLP) partners can work together again with the Faculty of Letters Abdimas Team for a second workshop focused on techniques and discussion of writing scientific articles in research journals.

This community service program aims to enhance the understanding and skills of tourism managers about Japanese culture as a tourist attraction in Kampung Sakura Batu, East Java. The service method employs Participatory Action Research (PAR) oriented towards community empowerment. The evaluation instruments utilize questionnaires and interviews, with qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques to assess the outcomes. The results of this service activity show an increase in knowledge among Kampung Sakura managers about several Japanese cultures, including how to wear a Yukata correctly, perform a tea ceremony, make sushi, arrange Japanese flowers (Ikebana), and understand simple Japanese conversations that can be used to welcome tourists visiting Kampung Sakura.
