Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has become a new stressor with significant pregnancy consequences, limiting access to health services. Mindfulness-Based Art Therapy (MBAT) has been proven to intervene in the body-mind-soul and improve mental health problems. However, no research has developed it into a form of artificial intelligence for use by pregnant women in supporting the current situation of access to health services.Purpose: This study aims to produce a system of MBAT based on artificial intelligence for early detection and to prove the effectiveness of improving mental health in pregnant women. Methods: This study employed Research & Development consisting of 4 stages, namely Literature Study, Development Stage, Validity Expert, and Trial. Results: The MBAT application has five features, from mental health information to history. The validity score of the application system is 87.33%. The trial results showed that the application effectively reduces stress levels by 91.26% and anxiety by 90.24%. Also, the application can predict the percentage reduction in stress and anxiety levels correctly and without errors using the decision tree. Conclusion: This application is helpful for pregnant women and health workers in detecting stress and anxiety levels early in pregnancy and improving mental health.

Abstract

Postpartum infection still plays a role as a major cause of maternal death, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia, this problem occurs as a result of midwifery services that are still far from perfect. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of education using leaflets on knowledge about postpartum infections in postpartum mothers at Puskesmas Lere. This type of research is a descriptive study with a quasi-experimental one group pre and post test approach. The sample in this study was 31 respondents postpartum mothers with total sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire sheet. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon statistical test with a significant level of = 0.05. In this study, the results obtained from the one group pre and post test prior to education using leafletsthere are mothers with good and sufficient knowledge each as many as 12 postpartum mothers (38.7%) while mothers with less knowledge as many as 7 postpartum mothers (22.6%) and after education using medialeafletMother's knowledge has increased to 28 postpartum mothers (90.3%) mothers with sufficient knowledge as many as 3 postpartum mothers (9.7%) and there are no postpartum mothers who have less knowledge. The results of data analysis regarding the effect of providing education using leaflets obtained the value ofP-Valueof 0.000 which means the value ofSig < 0.00so that it can be interpreted that there is an effect of providing education using lealet on increasing postpartum mother's knowledge about postpartum infections. The conclusions in this study areproviding education using leaflets has an effect on increasing postpartum mother's knowledge about postpartum infections.

Abstract

Introduction: In developing countries, the main causes of maternal death are direct obstetric factors, namely postpartum hemorrhage, infection, and eclampsia. Perineal rupture can lead to postpartum hemorrhage. Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the causes of birth canal tears during childbirth at the Beteleme Health Center. Method: This descriptive study employed a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 30 mothers who experienced birth canal tears, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using observation sheets, and the Chi-Square statistical test was used for analysis with a significance level of α = 0.05. Results: Of the 30 respondents, the majority (80%) were in the age group of 20–33 years. Most of the respondents (83.3%) were primiparous (first-time mothers). Regarding fetal weight, 25 mothers (83.3%) delivered babies weighing less than 3800g, while 5 mothers (16.7%) delivered babies weighing over 3800g. Statistical analysis revealed that the Sig value for the age category was > 0.05, indicating no significant relationship between age and birth canal tears. However, the Sig values for parity and fetal weight were < 0.05, indicating a significant relationship between these factors and the incidence of birth canal tears. Conclusion: This study concluded that there is no relationship between age and the incidence of birth canal tears, but there is a significant relationship between parity and fetal weight with the incidence of birth canal tears in mothers giving birth at the Beteleme Health Center.
