Abstract

Lake Limboto is a vital public asset that concerns the lives of many people hence it is important for the government to pay serious attention and proper management on it. Furthermore, three parties are closely linked to the sustainability of this public asset. Building the entrepreneurial spirit of the local community to manage Lake Limboto should be addressed to be the inspiration and new spirit of the entrepreneurial community as a sustainable investment. This study aims to analyzeand explain the importance of building the community entrepreneurial spirit on the management of Lake Limboto as a sustainable investment, particularly in the economic empowerment of local community. Data were collected using FGD technique, literature studies, and field observation. The analysis was conducted using qualitative descriptive approach. This study revealed the development of community business groups or creative-innovative behavior of consumers in managing Lake Limboto. In the implementation, innovation becomes more valuable in building creativity and innovation, particularly in building the entrepreneurial spirit in managing Lake Limboto as a public and regional asset in the present and the future. The theoretical implication is to reaffirm Schumpeter’s theory of innovation. In association with the economic empowerment and development of community, entrepreneurship is aspired to realize human resources who arereliable, professional, highly motivated with the need of achievement, risk takers, innovative and independence. It entails the abilities to create new products and services in the market, new place of business transaction, new buyers, new market leader, and to support economic development.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of Kaidundu village officials in the process of implementing the village head election using qualitative methods with descriptive research. The results of the research show that the role of the Kaidundu village officials in the election of the Kaidundu village head has a significant impact on the village head election process. The attitudes, social values, and role of village officials in carrying out village head elctions in Kaidundu village show that (1) The majority of village officials show a positive attitude towards the village head election process, by showing commitment and active participation in supporting the process. However, there are variations in individual attitudes that can influence their consistency and effectiveness in carrying out their duties. (2) Social values such as honesty, justice and transparency play an important role in the views and actions of village officials during the village head election process. However, there are also other factors such as loyalty to certain groups or candidates that can influence the interpretation and application of these values. And (3) The behavior of village officials, including interactions with the community and candidates, use of village resources, and decision making, has direct implications for the integrity and success of the village head election process. Having behavior that is consistent with recognized social values can increase community trust in village officials.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the records management at the Omuto Village Office, Biau District, North Gorontalo Regency. In the context of village administration, effective records management is crucial to support transparency, accountability, and efficiency. However, several major issues have been identified at the Omuto Village Office that hinder good records management practices. The first issue identified is the lack of understanding and education regarding records management. Many staff and village officials do not fully comprehend the importance of systematic and structured records management. Additionally, the existing records management infrastructure is not yet optimal. Adequate and standard-compliant archival storage facilities remain a challenge to be addressed. A significant issue is also the shortage of trained human resources in records management. Without proper training, the potential for errors in records management is high, which can lead to the loss of important information or even regulatory violations. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach to provide a detailed picture of the records management conditions at the Omuto Village Office. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document studies. The findings indicate the need for increased understanding among staff and officials regarding records management, evaluation and improvement of records management infrastructure, and training of human resources. The conclusion of this research emphasizes the importance of strengthening records management infrastructure, optimizing the records distribution process, increasing the involvement of records in decision-making, and improving the physical maintenance of records. The proposed recommendations are expected to serve as a foundation for enhancing the efficiency, accessibility, and integrity of records management at the Omuto Village Office. Thus, this research provides an in-depth view of the challenges and potential in records management within the village government environment and offers implementable solutions for improving the records management system.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the dynamics of the behavior of officials in Lemito Village in public services in Pohuwato Regency, with a focus on four key indicators: Responding to Service Recipients, Maintaining Effective Communication, Taking Responsibility, and Acting for Customers. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentary studies. Theories of public management, community participation, organizational communication, and total quality management were integrated to form the conceptual framework of the research. The research findings indicate that the behavior of officials in Lemito Village still has weaknesses in responding quickly to the needs of the community, maintaining effective communication, taking active responsibility, and acting proactively to meet customer expectations. These findings reflect suboptimal public services influenced by several factors, including a lack of training, communication barriers, and a lack of community participation in decision-making. The conclusion of the research emphasizes that improvements in the behavior of officials in Lemito Village will contribute to the enhancement of the quality of public services, creating better relationships between village officials and the community, and promoting the achievement of development goals at the local level. Recommendations include the need for regular training to improve the responsiveness and effectiveness of village officials, the development of intercultural communication skills, local empowerment through community participation in decision-making processes, and the introduction of a reward system to encourage responsibility and proactive initiatives.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian Generasi Muhammadiyah Kuat ini agar generasi muhammadiyah dapat meneruskan cita-cita yang telah diraih oleh Kiyai Ahmad Dahlan sebagai pendiri muhammadiyah sehingga generasi muhammdiyah dapat membina warga muhammadiyah. Target yang telah dicapai dalam pengabdian ini adalah menjadikan masyarakat Desa Moluo khususnya generasi muhammadiyah untuk mengembangkan dan menjadikan generasi yang kuat, dan menjalankan fungsinya sebagaimana tujuan dan cita-cita persyarikatan Muhammadiyah. Metode yang digunakan diawali dengan sosialisasi pada generasi muhammadiyah oleh dosen pembimbing lapangan pada kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Dakwah (KKD) Universitas Muhammadiyah Gorontalo di desa Moluo Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara. Generasi muhammadiyah kuat dipilih sebagai tema dari pengabdian ini karena generasi mudalah yang nantinya akan meneruskan cita-cita yang telah dibangun oleh Muhammadiyah. Persyarikatan Muhammadiyah sangat membutuhkan pemikiran dari anak-anak muda Muhammadiyah seperti halnya di saat pertama kali berdirinya Persyarikatan. Sumbangsih pemikiran generasi muda sangat dibutuhkan dalam penguatan ummat berbangsa dan bernegara. Sekian banyak generasi muda yang tidak terorganisir dengan baik dan akhirnya akan terjerumus dalam hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan oleh kita semua. Kita berharap kedepan, generasi Muhammadiyah ini menjadi kuat serta akan memberikan kekuatan energy Muhammadiyah dimasa yang akan datang. Tanpa generasi Muhammadiyah yang kuat maka persyarikatan Muhammadiyah hanya akan menjadi kenangan dalam catatan sejarah bangsa dan negara. Oleh karena itu dengan dilaksanakan pengabdian ini, akan melahirkan generasi Muhammadiyah yang kuat dalam membentengi pikiran-pikiran genarasi dari paham-paham yang menyimpang dari aqidah Islam yang tidak sesuai dengan alquran dan hadits yang sahih yang menjadi rujukan utama bagi persyarikatan Muhammadiyah. Diharapkan generasi Muhammadiyah kuat ini akan melanjutkan dakwah amar makruf nahi munkar, serta menjaga amanah amal usaha muhammadiyah di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

This study examines the function of environmental supervision by the DPRD of Gorontalo Regency with a focus on three main indicators: data and information transparency, coordination with the Environmental Service (DLH), and community involvement. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The primary data sources in this study consisted of eight informants, namely DPRD members, DLH representatives, and community leaders. The results of the study indicate that transparent data and information access presented by the DPRD of Gorontalo Regency has not been maximized and open either through social media or other information media that can be accessed directly by the community. Coordination between the DPRD and the Environmental Service of Gorontalo Regency has been well established between the two institutions by conducting RDP (Hearing Meeting) from the Environmental Service followed by programs run by DLH under supervision from the DPRD. For the involvement of the community that plays a role in environmental supervision, it has been formed well in villages/sub-districts but is considered ineffective, thus creating challenges for the DPRD and DLH in handling environmental problems, especially the level of public awareness which is considered still lacking in responding to environmental problems that arise due to the actions of the community itself.
