Abstract

The lack of effective local culture-based learning media is a challenge in instilling the value of independence in character education in elementary schools. This study aims to (1) describe the character value of independence in the Collection of Fairy Tales of Si Kancil and (2) describe the strengthening of the character value of independence as part of the teaching material for Indonesian language content in elementary schools. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with literary sociology approach and dialectical technique. The main data in the form of expressions that reflect the value of independence are taken purposively from five stories in the Collection of Fairy Tales of Si Kancil by M.B. Rahimsyah A.R. published by Lingkar Media in 2013. Secondary data were obtained from academic literature related to character, literary sociology, and children's literature. Data collection was conducted through literature study, analytical reading, and note-taking, with Miles & Huberman model analysis and validation through triangulation of methods and sources. The results showed that the Collection of Fairy Tales of Si Kancil contains four aspects of independence: emotional, economic, intellectual, and social. These values can be strengthened in Indonesian language learning through interactive strategies, such as group discussion, dramatization, story rewriting, as well as written reflection and case study. This study concludes that the collection of Fairy Tales of Si Kancil contains values of independence including emotional, economic, intellectual, and social aspects, which are relevant for strengthening students' character and can be effectively integrated in Indonesian language learning through interactive strategies in elementary schools.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari bagaimana pengurangan harga dan penampilan di toko berdampak pada keputusan impulse buying yang dibuat oleh pelanggan Matahari Department Store di Mal Ciputra Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner kepada sejumlah responden yang berbelanja di Matahari. Pengaruh kedua variabel independen terhadap impulse pembelian secara parsial dan simultan dinilai melalui analisis data regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa potongan harga meningkatkan impulse pembelian secara signifikan, karena konsumen terdorong untuk membeli produk ketika merasa mendapatkan keuntungan harga. Selain itu, terbukti bahwa penampilan di toko memiliki efek positif yang signifikan, di mana penataan produk, signage, dan tampilan visual yang menarik mampu memicu pembelian spontan. Secara simultan, kedua faktor ini memperkuat keputusan impulse buying konsumen. Implikasi praktis penelitian ini adalah pentingnya manajemen Matahari mengombinasikan strategi diskon harga dengan tampilan toko yang berinovatif untuk memperkuat daya tarik pelanggan, memperkuat daya saing, dan mendorong penjualan. Kebaruan (novelty) dari penelitian ini terletak pada fokus pengujian simultan price discount dan in-store display di konteks ritel fesyen besar di Kabupaten Tangerang, yang belum banyak diteliti secara spesifik.

Abstract

The learning activities carried out by the teachers at MI Al-Mursyid have been impressed that only active teachers. The teacher mostly uses the discussion method when learning takes place, but the discussion is still ineffective so that students tend to be passive in accepting the subject matter provided by the teacher. This results in student activity and learning outcomes to be very low. With this background, researchers are interested in examining whether there is an effect of the Snowball Throwing Cooperative Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes. The research was conducted at MI Al-Mursyid, Citeureup District, Bogor Regency. The study population was 153 students while the sample was 20 people. Researchers used an experimental class, namely class V with a total of 20 students. The instrument used was a test to measure student learning outcomes in the form of a multiple choice test of 20 questions. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis with t-test. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, the average value obtained before applying the Snowball Throwing model was 57.60 for pretest and 81.55 for posttest. Based on the results of inferential statistical analysis t count 11.31 and t table 2.10. Because tcount> ttable (11.31> 2.10), then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So, it can be concluded that the accepted hypothesis is that the Snowball Throwing learning model in science learning has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of grade V students at MI Al-Mursyid.
