Abstract

This research describes the transformational leadership behavior, work motivation, teacher performance, and work discipline. It also considers the effect of transformational leadership behavior on work motivation; on work discipline; and teacher performance; effect of work motivation on teacher performance; the effect of work discipline on teacher performance; the effect of transformational leadership on teacher performance through work motivation; as well as the effect of transformational leadership on teacher performance through work discipline. The research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods involving a research sample of 105 people. The questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument, while hypotheses were tested using path analysis. Based on the results of the research, there is; a direct effect of transformational leadership on work motivation, work discipline, and teacher performance; a direct effect of work motivation on teacher performance; an indirect effect of transformational leadership on teacher performance through work motivation; as well as an indirect effect of transformational leadership on teacher performance through work discipline. Recommendations are made for teachers to improve performance during the teaching and learning processes, while there is a need for principals to optimize their coaching methods of teachers through improved transformational leadership.

Abstract

According to studies, strategic management has a significant influence on schools and is considered an essential method used to achieve quality education. The purpose of this research, therefore, is to provide in-depth knowledge of strategic planning, implementation, evaluation, and achievement. This research uses a qualitative multi-site study approach, with data obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation. Furthermore, the sample study was selected through purposive techniques and snowball sampling, with a single case and cross-site used for its analysis. This research shows that schools implemented strategic management to improve its quality following the procedures. Therefore, it is recommended for schools in Muhammadiyah to utilize it in its advancement

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the relationship between instructional leadership, progressive professional development, work motivation, and the results of elementary school teacher competency tests. The sample number of 120 was obtained by Proportional Random Sampling from 172 people in 22 schools at Binuang District. Data was collected using questionnaires that had passed validity and reliability tests. It was then analyzed by the product-moment correlation. The results obtained indicated a strong correlation between instructional leadership, continuing professional development, and work motivation about teacher competency test results. This research is expected to enhance teacher development and in further studies to improve education. Furthermore, it could be used by the teachers as an evaluation material, and as feedback for refinement and improvement of their ability and delivery. Also, information from this document could be used by the school principal to foster a good working environment for teachers. With good guidance, teachers would be competent enough to improve the learners? achievement. Additionally, this research provides the education stakeholders information which could be used in decision making to foster the teaching profession to achieve set goals and the quality of learning. And, it could be utilized as a reference document in future researches regarding the same subject matter.

Abstract

The research problem is that students have difficulty understanding the concepts being studied, students are less able to think critically, students tend to be passive and students lack motivation in monotonous learning. The purpose of this research is to find out teaching activities, student activities, increasing critical thinking and student learning motivation. This research uses the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR), which is carried out using four meetings. The research subjects were fifth grade students at Sungai Miai 8 Public Elementary School, Central Banjarmasin District, Banjarmasin City for the 2022/2023 academic year. what will happen this research shows that research in meetings I to IV increases. based on these findings it can be concluded that the combination of Problem Based Learning, Discovery Learning and Talking Stick models can improve teaching activities, critical thinking, student learning motivation, student activities.

Abstract

Berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar sangat penting dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu untuk menjabarkan aktivitas guru dan aktivitas pembelajaran, berpikir secara kritis dan capaian hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dilaksanakan selama 4 pertemuan. Subjek penelitian adalah 27 siswa kelas IV SDN Antasan Besar 1 Banjarmasin yang terdiri dari 15 siswa perempuan dan 12 siswa laki-laki di semester II tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Pendekatan yang diterapkan ialah pendekatan kualitatif, mencakup data observasi aktivitas guru, aktiivitas siswa, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan penggunaan data kuantitatif sebagai hasil belajar siswa yang didapat setelah tes tertulis secara individu maupun kelompok. Hasil dari penelitian menyatakan adanya aktivitas guru dipertemuan 4 mendapat kriteria “Sangat Baik” dengan skor 30. Aktivitas siswa dipertemuan 4 menjadi “Hampir Seluruh Siswa Aktif” dengan persentase 93%. Keterampilan berpikir kritis dipertemuan 4 menjadi “Hampir Seluruh Siswa Terampil” dengan persentase 89%. Hasil belajar siswa dari aspek kognitif mencapai ketuntasan dipertemuan 4.

Abstract

Meningkatkan Aktivitas Belajar dan Hasil Belajar Siswa Menggunakan Model PBL, NHT dan TGT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan aktivitas guuru, meningkatkan aktivitas siswa, meningkatkan kemampuan berdiskusi siswa dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindaakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam 4 kali pertemuan. Subyek Penelitian ini adallah siswa kelas 4B SDN Kebun Bunga I Banjarmasin yang berjumlah 22 orang siswa terdiri dari 11 orang siswa laki-laki dan 11 orang siswa perempuan, pada semester II tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitaatif. Data yang diambil merupakan data kualitatif diperoleh melalui obseervasi aktivitas guru dan aktivitas siswa. Untuk data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui tes tertulis hasil belajar siswa secara kelompok dan individu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, aktivitas guru di pertemuan I mendapatkan skor 34, pertemuan IV memperoleh skor 38. Aktivitas siswa pertemuan I masih 18%, meningkat di pertemuan IV menjadi 100%. Hasil belajar siswa pertemuan I mendapatkan 41%, meningkat di pertemuan IV menjadi 86% dengan ketuntasan klasikal 86%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adaalah dengan menggunakan kombinasi Model PBL, NHT dan TGTdapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the suboptimal implementation of academic supervision by school principals, which affects teacher performance in the learning process at the elementary school level. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of academic supervision by school principals in improving teacher performance. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire developed based on indicators of academic supervision and teacher performance, involving 10 teachers as research subjects. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The results indicate that academic supervision is categorized as good, with an average score of 60.4, while teacher performance is also categorized as good, with an average score of 62.3. Furthermore, there is a positive relationship between academic supervision and teacher performance. These findings suggest that academic supervision carried out systematically, collaboratively, and continuously can enhance the quality of learning and teacher professionalism.

Abstract

The quality of learning in Vocational High Schools (SMK) still faces various challenges, particularly related to teachers’ pedagogical competence and the effectiveness of the learning process. One strategic effort to improve learning quality is through effective academic supervision. However, in practice, the implementation of supervision is often not optimal due to the limited skills of supervisors. This study aims to describe supervisors’ skills, analyze the implementation of academic supervision, and explain the role of supervisors’ skills in improving learning quality at SMKN 2 Pelaihari. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that supervisors’ skills, including technical, interpersonal, and conceptual aspects, play an important role in the implementation of academic supervision. Communication, observation, and evaluation skills are the dominant factors in enhancing supervision effectiveness. The supervision process is carried out through planning, classroom observation, and follow-up stages, using collaborative and coaching-based approaches. These approaches are proven to enhance teachers’ reflective awareness and encourage improvements in learning quality, although there are still limitations in the follow-up stage. Therefore, strengthening supervisors’ skills and implementing sustainable supervision are key factors in improving learning quality in vocational schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of a collaborative supervision approach in improving teachers’ professional competence at SDN Telaga Biru 1. The background of this study is based on the importance of enhancing the quality of learning through continuous and participatory professional development of teachers. The research employs a qualitative approach to explore the process, implementation, and impact of collaborative supervision in the school context. The research subjects include the principal and teachers involved in supervision activities. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the implementation of collaborative supervision effectively improves teachers’ professional competence, particularly in lesson planning, instructional implementation, and student learning evaluation. The supervision process is carried out through joint discussions, reflective practices, and constructive feedback between supervisors and teachers. Furthermore, it fosters a more open and supportive working environment, encouraging teachers to actively develop their professional skills. Supporting factors for the success of this approach include effective communication, shared commitment, and participatory leadership from the principal. However, several challenges were identified, such as limited time and teachers’ workload. Overall, the collaborative supervision approach proves to be effective in enhancing teachers’ professional competence and can serve as an alternative strategy for teacher development in primary schools.
