Abstract

Background: According to RISKESDAS in 2018, the number of childbirths using the sectio caesarea method in women aged 10-54 years in Indonesia reached 17.6% of the total number of deliveries. Recovery in the puerperium for mothers who have given birth by sectio caesarea surgery can be done by gradual early mobilization, because there is an incision wound on the abdomen of the mother. In addition to the mobilization of factors affecting wound healing is the intake of maternal nutrients. The role of nutrition in wound healing is very important in wound healing. Nutrient intake is high in protein such as in fish, eggs and fruits. Pineapple fruit can accelerate wound healing because there is a bromelain enzyme that can convert protein into amino acids that can regenerate damaged cells so that wound healing will take place faster. Purpose: To know the Effect of Pineapple Juice on The Healing of Postoperative Sectio Caesarea Wounds at Bogor City Mulia Pajajaran Hospital in 2023 Methods: This research is a quasi-experiment with a pre-posttest only control group research design. The sampling technique uses non probability sampling with accidental sampling method. The samples in this study were calculated by large samples with a paired numerical analytical formula with the results of a large sample of 32 samples, and the group was divided into 2, namely the control group and the intervention group. Data collection is carried out by observation. Data analysis was performed using the Wilxocon Test. Results: Based on the results of the study showed that there was an effect of giving Pineapple Juice on wound healing in postoperative sectio caesarea mothers with a p-value of 0.000 meaning < 0.05. Conclusion: Consumption of Pineapple Juice can speed up the healing process of postoperative sectio caesarea wounds at Mulia Pajajaran Hospital, Bogor City. It is hoped that consuming pineapple juice can be recommended and applied by health workers to postpartum mothers whose delivery is by sectio caesarea surgery.

Abstract

According to the Central Statistics Agency (2018), to maximize the development potential of children aged 0-6 years, the government has created an early childhood education (PAUD) program. The PAUD program prioritizes children's physical growth and development (fine and gross motor coordination) and children's intelligence, socio-emotional skills, and language and communication, which aim to provide positive stimulation for children's growth and development. Stimulation for children needs to be done as early as possible. Its implementation can be carried out regularly as a prevention because when stimulation is carried out, the hormones needed for children's development can be produced by the body. One of them is by doing sensory play activities. Sensory play is a game that can train children to use one or more senses. Sensory play becomes a stimulus that will enter the child's brain, which then the nervous system will process it by producing a sensation that can encourage the child's senses to move, this is called a stimulus-response. When children get a lot of stimulus, children will get more and more pleasant experiences (Munzilin, et al., 2021). The methods used are lectures and discussions. The implementation of community service was carried out at PAUD Uswatun Hasanah, Bogor Regency on January 8, 2024, with 38 participants. After the community service activity, participants learned the importance of providing stimulation for children's fine motor development.

Abstract

Many community members do not know enough about herbs' benefits and how to use them properly, which often leads to distrust of their effectiveness as an alternative treatment. The habit of consuming modern medicines is more dominant than herbs. This is triggered by the perception that modern medicine provides results faster. Limited access to information about the types of herbs and their benefits and restricted access to quality herbal products in some areas. In 2024, 56 PCIM members studied in Thailand, and around 130 Indonesian students studied internationally at Khoen Kaen University (KKU). Around 40% of these students experienced physical complaints such as colds, nausea, vomiting and dizziness due to physical conditions, weather and other factors. The use of herbs/herbal medicine to maintain health and treat various diseases has been passed down from generation to generation. This legacy is expected to continue to be utilized by the younger generation, especially international students, as an alternative to increase endurance and overcome physical complaints. Indonesia and Thailand have similarities in using herbs as medicine, including ginger, melon, nutmeg, cinnamon, chilli, cloves, galangal, lemongrass, honey, and others. Community service was implemented in Mueang District, Khon Kaen, Thailand, on August 28, 2024, with 20 participants. After counselling and practice in making herbal drinks, participants learned the types, benefits and processing of spices to make herbal drinks that can be used as safe and effective alternative medicine.

Abstract

Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death in women worldwide. Early detection through Breast Self-Examination (SADARI) is an important step in efforts to reduce the death rate due to this cancer. Indonesian working women in Japan, most of whom work in the manufacturing and care sectors, face significant health challenges, including low levels of awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer. This community service activity aims to increase the awareness and knowledge of Indonesian women workers in Japan about breast cancer and the SADARI technique as a preventive effort. This activity was carried out through health education held at the Chiba Islamic Cultural Center (CICC), Japan, involving 29 mothers from the Indonesian community. The results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge about breast cancer, risk factors, and SADARI techniques. It is hoped that education about breast cancer and early detection through SADARI can continue to be introduced to Indonesian communities abroad, in order to increase women's empowerment and breast cancer prevention.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a health issue that, if not managed properly, can lead to serious complications, including death. Hypertension can be treated both pharmacologically and non- pharmacologically. One non-pharmacological therapy is acupressure. Objective: to determine the effectiveness of acupressure on blood pressure in pregnant women with Hypertensive Disorders in Pregnancy (HDP) in Karawang Regency. Methods: This quasi-experimental study used a pre- and post-test with control group design. The sample consisted of 30 pregnant women with HDP, divided into intervention and control groups. Results: The average systolic and diastolic blood pressures before and after acupressure therapy were 150.4 and 97.07 mmHg, decreasing to 144.13 and 91.73 mmHg, respectively. Statistical analysis using the t-test showed p-values of 0.002 for systolic and 0.02 for diastolic pressure, indicating that acupressure had a significant effect on blood pressure changes in pregnant women. Conclusion: Acupressure therapy is highly beneficial as an alternative treatment for managing hypertension in pregnant women. Health workers are encouraged to provide education on the use of acupressure therapy in addressing hypertension.
