Abstract

Background: Understanding the processes of learning and teaching is essential in education. In the context of Islamic education, learning involves cognitive, spiritual, and moral aspects, requiring theories that align with its core values. Objective: This study aims to explore the concepts of learning and teaching and to understand various learning theories that support the educational process. Method: The research employs a library research method with an analytical approach to relevant literature. Result: The results indicate that learning and teaching are distinct yet interconnected concepts. Learning has specific characteristics and is influenced by various factors. Additionally, several major learning theories exist, including cognitivism, behaviorism, humanism, and constructivism. In the context of Islamic education, four learning theories are recognized: taqlid, tajribah wa khatha, ta’wid, and tafakkur. Conclusion: The study concludes that understanding learning theories is crucial for enhancing the effectiveness of teaching and learning processes. Contribution: The contribution of this research lies in providing a more comprehensive insight into learning concepts and theories that can be applied in various educational contexts, including Islamic education.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penulisan jurnal artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan memahami islamisasi di tanah jawa yang dilakukan oleh walisongo, mulai dari kedatangan walisongo, strategi, pendekatan, meted dakwah yang digunakan serta kemajuan-kemajuan islam yang dibawa oleh walisongo ke tanah Jawa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menulis artikel ini adalah metode penelitian library research atau penelitian pustaka yang berfokus pada pencarian dari sumber-sumber yang relevan, baik dari buku, jurnal penelitian, artikel serta sumber-sumber lain yang mendukung penulisan jurnal artikel ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan pendekatan personal, berpolitik, seni dan budaya, serta pendidikan oleh walisongo dalam misi islamisasi di tanah jawa, sebagai bukti sejarah kehadiran walisongo terdapat banyak kemajuan yang masih bias dirasakan hingga saat ini diantaranya islam Nusantara, faham kesufian yang dianut oleh mayoritas masyarakat Indonesia, serta banyaknya pondok pesantren yang merupakan warisan dari system pendidikan yang ditinggalkan walisongo.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini yaitu pengalaman empiris menunjukkan bahwakemampuan siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Karangtengah Kabupaten Cianjur pada tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 dalam menulis karangan deskripsi, masih rendah yakni mencapai nilai rata-rata 65, sedangkan Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) yaitu 70. Artikel ini akan mendeskripsikan proses dan peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis karangan deskripsi dengan memanfaatkan media lingkungan sekolah. Siswa yang dijadikan populasi penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Karangtengah Cianjur berjumlah tiga kelas yakni 100 orang, sedangkan sampelnya kelas VII-A dan VII-B berjumlah 50 orang. Metode penelitian yaitu eksperimen semu, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu tes, observasi, dan angket. Pengolahan data dilakukan secara kuantitatif skala seratus dengan prangkat lunak Minitab 14 statistik uji-t. Hasil pengolahan data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran menulis karangan deskripsi dengan memanfaatkan lingkungan sekolah diketahui nilai rata-rata 70,31 dan setelah pembelajaran yaitu 86,40. Pembelajaran menulis karangan desripsi tanpa memanfaatkan lingkungan sekolah, sebelum pembelajaran diperoleh rata-rata 69,56 dan setelah pembelajaran diketahui nilai rata-rata 76,44. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis karangan deskripsi antara pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan lingkungan sekolah dengan tanpa lingkungan sekolah. Hasil pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan lingkungan sekolah jauh lebih tinggi daripada tanpa memanfaatkan lingkungan sekolah.Kata kunci : kemampuan,  menulis, karangan deskripsi, lingkungan sekolah.The problem that becomes the background of this research is the empirical experience showing that the ability of Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Karangtengah, Cianjur Regency in the 2016/2017 academic year in writing description essays, is still low, reaching an average value of 65, while the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM), namely 70. This article will describe the process and improvement of students' ability to write descriptive essays by utilizing the school environment media. Students who were used as the population of the study were eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Karangtengah Cianjur, with three classes consisting of 100 people, while the sample consisted of class VII-A and VII-B totaling 50 people. The research method is quasi-experimental, while data collection techniques are tests, observations, and questionnaires. Data processing is done in a hundred scale quantitative manner with the software Minitab 14 t-test statistics. The results of data processing concluded that learning to write descriptive essays by utilizing the school environment is known to be an average value of 70.31 and after learning is 86.40. Learning to write descriptive essays without utilizing the school environment, before learning is obtained an average of 69.56 and after learning the average value of 76.44 is known. In this regard, there are significant differences in the ability of students to write descriptive essays between learning that utilizes the school environment and without the school environment. Learning outcomes by utilizing the school environment are much higher than without utilizing the school environment.Keywords: ability, writing, description essay, school environment.

Abstract

General Background: The integration of information and communication technology in education has transformed learning into a more interactive and flexible process, positioning mobile learning as a strategic approach in the digital era. Specific Background: The increasing use of smartphones among elementary students has shifted attention toward non-academic activities, leading to decreased motivation and suboptimal learning outcomes in religious education subjects. Knowledge Gap: Prior studies predominantly focus on higher education levels and general subjects, leaving limited empirical evidence on Android-based mobile learning in elementary religious education contexts. Aims: This study examines the relationship between Android-based mobile learning usage, student learning motivation, and cognitive learning outcomes. Results: The findings indicate a significant relationship between mobile learning and learning motivation with a determination coefficient of 46.4%, while its relationship with learning outcomes is significant but relatively low at 4.2%. Novelty: The study provides simultaneous analysis of mobile learning, motivation, and cognitive outcomes in elementary religious education, offering a more integrated perspective compared to prior research. Implications: The results highlight the need for combining mobile learning with appropriate instructional strategies, teacher guidance, and supportive learning environments to achieve more balanced educational outcomes.
