Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the level of validity of the Student Worksheet (LKPD) Based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) on the Interaction Material of Living Things with the Class VII Middle School. This research was conducted in two places, namely for the validation of the Student Worksheet (LKPD) by the validator carried out in the Biology Education Study Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau. Then, a limited trial of LKPD that had been developed was carried out at SMPN 2 Bangko Pusako, Rokan Hilir Regency. The time of research is May-October 2019. This type of research is development research using the ADDIE model which is carried out until the development stage. There are 4 LKPD developed. Data collection instruments in this study were LKPD validation sheets, and questionnaire respondents. After LKPD is developed, it is then validated by 5 validators. After that, the first trial was conducted on 15 students of FKIP UR biology education, and the second trial on 20 Class VII students at SMPN 2 Bangko Pusako. Student Based Worksheet (LKPD) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) on the material interaction of living things with the environment of class VII SMP has been successfully developed with a very valid category.  Keywords: Development, Student Worksheet, Problem Based Learning

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this research is to produce student worksheets (LKPD) based scientific approach and thinking critical ability on the KD 3.14 subject body defense system grade XI High School. This development research was conducted at the Laboratory of Biological Education Department of PMIPA Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Universitas Riau and SMAN 14 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted from March to June 2018. The type of research used in this development research refers to the Research and Development (R & D) research approach using the ADDIE model consisting of five stages, namely analyze, design, development, implement and evaluate. This research is only done until development stage. The instrument used is validation sheet and questionnaire of respondent. Furthermore, limited trials were conducted to 13 students of Biology education and 25 students of class XI SMAN 14 Pekanbaru. Research data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of LKPD validation are based on a scientific approach and critical thinking skills for the material of the body's defense system seen from 3 aspects: design aspects, pedagogic aspects, and content aspects. The value of LKPD validity is based on a scientific approach and critical thinking skills in the design aspect, with a score of 3.89 valid categories, the validity value of pedagogic aspects, with a score of 3.91 valid categories, while the validity value in the feasibility aspect is filled with a score of 3.95 valid categories. Student responses on all aspects are categorized both with score 4.19 and the response of learners on all aspects are categorized very well with score 4.32. The results of the answer analysis on trial II show the average value of 89 with very good category. LKPD based on a scientific approach to the material of the body's defense system can increase understanding and knowledge about the body's defense system and can improve students' critical thinking skills.Keywords: Development, LKPD, Scientific Approach, Critical Thinking, Body’s Defense System

Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this research to determine the effect of the hormone 2,4-D and BAP on callus growth Kasturi Orange (Citrus microcarpa) and designing relevant teaching materials on the concept of Modern Biotechnology tissue culture for high school students. This research consisted of two phases. The first phase of that research using experimental method completely randomized design factorial. Parameters observed is percentage of explants, while appearing callus, callus width and texture of the callus. Research results and a growing percentage of the width callus explants were analyzed by ANOVA and a further test DMRT at 5% level, when it appears callus and callus texture done by descriptively. Phase II this research is a handout development stages of learning that comes from the results on the first phase research using ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) simplified to the stage Analyze,Design, and Developmet and then will validation with 5 category. The result shows that a combination of hormones D4B1 and D4B2 produces a callus emerged fastest of 3.3 HSK. The highest percentage of callus formation that is 100% contained in the treatment of D2B0, D2B0.5 - D4B0. The mean width of callus was highest in treatment D4B2 with a width of 0.97cm. Embryogenic callus resulting by treatment of D2B1, D2B2 ,and D3B0. The results of reseach can be used as teaching material in the form of handouts of Biology subjects at the concept of Modern Biotechnology in high school with value of 4 categories validity valid.   Keywords: Hormones, Callus, Orange Kasturi, Handout,

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to improve activity and learning result student through the application of models learning cycle 7E with approach to explore nature in class VIIIB4 IPA MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru on system of life plant concepts. This research is action research conducted in two cycles in March until May 2016. The subjects were students of class VIIIB4 IPA MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru, amounting to 30 people men. Parameter research is activities, learning result student consisting of absorption and mastery learning and. The average of students' learning activities in the first cycle is 77,12 % with sufficient category and the second cycle increased to 85,05 % with the very good category. Learning result student based on the average absorption of students in the first cycle is 79,33 and the second cycle increased to 86,67. Mastery learning students in the first cycle is 73.33% and the second cycle increased to 93,33%. From the results of this research concluded that the application of models learning cycle 7E with approach to explore nature can increase the activity and learning result student in class VIIIB4 MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru on system of life plant concepts.Keywords : Model learning cycle 7E, approach to explore nature, activity, learning result student

Abstract

Abstrak : This research aimed to determine the inventory of remedial programs implementation on Biology subjects High School in Pekanbaru in June to November 2018. This type of research is a descriptive study. The population in this study is all State High Schools in Pekanbaru. The research sample is the State High School that has implemented the 2013 curriculum from 2014 is SMAN 1,SMAN 2, SMAN 6, SMAN 8 and SMAN 12. The research instrument consists of closed questionnaires, interview sheets and RPP documents for biology subjects. Data collection techniques are questionnaires distributed during MGMP activities and interviews with biology teachers in Pekanbaru High School. Data analysis techniques are carried out in descriptive percentage. Based on the results of an inventory of the remedial program implementation on Biology subjects High School in Pekanbaru, it has been carried out with an average value of 66, 92% in the good category. The inventory of remedial implementation consists of teacher knowledge in implementation of remedial programs with an average percentage of 72.8%, which is in the good category, while the implementation of remedial programs is an average value of 64.9% with good categories. This implementation consists of planning indicators of 65.93% with good categories. Implementation is 61.9% with good category and evaluation is 67.06% with good category. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the implementation of the remedial program on Biology subjects High School in Pekanbaru has been carried out even though the implementation is still not optimal and not in accordance with the remedial program manual.Keyword : Biology, Inventory, Remedial Programs

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to improve Student’achievement of students in class VIII.5 of SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru by implementation Learning Cycle 7E model with Mind Mapping technique. It was done in SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru on Maret of Mei 2019. Parameters which measure were student’s achievement. The methods of this research was classroom action research by implementation Learning Cycle 7E model with Mind Mapping technique. It was done in two cylce. There were planning step, acting step, observation step and reflection step for each cycle. The first cycle to apply learning materials KD.3.10. about the excreation system and in the second cycle to apply learning materials KD.3.11. regarding the concepts of vibrations, waves and sounds. The research instrument used was a learning device that consist of a lesson plan, syllabus, assesment authentic sheet, observation shee.t The collected data was analysed descriptively. The result of this research showed that Student’achievement in the first cycle was 79,2 with a predicate (C) and increased in the second cycle up to 89,93 with a predicate (B). Completeness percentage in the first cycle was 42,85% and increased in the second cycle up to 71,42%. Student’s attitude in the first cycle was 71,02 with a predicate (D) and increased in the second cycle up to 86,92 with a predicate (B). It can be conclude that Learning Cycle 7E model with Mind Mapping technique can improve Student’achievement of student in class VIII.5 SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Learning Cycle 7E, Student’ Achievement, Mind Mapping Technique

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to know the Misconception Concept of Plant Morphology Structure in Biology Education Student in Higher Systematic Lecture of Academic Year 2016/2017. This research is a descriptive research. This research was conducted in June 2017. The sample in this study is all students of class 2015/2016 which is a fourth semester students who follow the course of Systematics of High Plants which amounted to 91 people. The technique in determining the sample is the total sampling. The results show that misconception is still found in all concepts of plant morphology structure with percentage of 43%. Misconceptions on the concept of plant morphology are included in the medium category. The highest misconception occurred on the concept of stem with percentage of 55%, followed by percentage of misconception on root concept with 49% percentage, then misconception on leaf morphology concept with percentage 47%, then fruit morphology concept with percentage 45%, flower morphology concept with percentage 40% , The morphological concept of seeds with percentage of 37% and last percentage of the lowest misconception on the concept of life forms and the general form of plants with a percentage of 30%. The conclusion of the research is Misconception on the Concept of Plant Morphology Structure In Biology Education Students in Higher Systematic Lecture is still found in all concepts with medium category. Keywords: Misconception, Plant Morphology Structure Concept, High Plant Systematics

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the ability of creative thinking and learning outcomes of XI MIA 3 students in Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru High School with a guided inquiry model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects were students of class XI MIA 3 in Muhammadiyah 1 High School Pekanbaru, totaling 31 students consisting of 11 men and 20 women. The parameters measured are the ability to think creatively and student learning outcomes consisting of cognitive, affective and psychomotor abilities of students. Data collection techniques were carried out by tests (LKPD, Post test and daily test) and non-test (observation sheet). Data analysis techniques are carried out quantitatively and supported by descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the average creative thinking ability of students in the first cycle was 76.51 with the Enough category and increased in the second cycle to 85.40 with the Good category. The average value of absorption of students in the first cycle was 80.50 with the category Enough and increased in the second cycle to 87.51 with the Good category. For student learning completeness in learning cycle I which is equal to 87.09% and cycle II has reached 100% complete. While for the average value of attitudes of students in learning cycle I is 82.74 with the Enough category and increases in the second cycle to 89.45 with the Good category. The average psychomotor value of students in learning cycle I is 83.36 with the category Enough and increases in the second cycle to 90.59 with the Good category. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the Guided Inquiry model can improve creative thinking skills and learning outcomes of XI MIA 3 students at Muhammadiyah 1 High School Pekanbaru.Key Words: Guided Inquiry, Creative Thinking, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This study was conducted aiming to student learning outcomes through the implementation of cooperative learning model think, talk and write with a talking stick-in-class engineering VII.3 SMP Negeri 3 Tambang on the material Ecosystem and Environmental Pollution. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles in April and May 2016. The subjects were VII.3 grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Tambang 2015/2016 school year totaling 29 people consisting of 11 female students and 18 students man. Parameter study is the result of learning of students consisting of absorption and mastery learning. The results of student learning based on the average absorption of students in the first cycle is 78.10 and the second cycle increased to 86.37. Mastery learning students in the first cycle is 79.31% and the second cycle increased to 89.65%. From the results of this study concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model think, talk and write with a talking stick technique can improve learning outcomes of students in the class VII.3 IPA SMP Negeri 3 Tambang.Keywords: Model cooperative think, talk and write, Mechanical talking stick, student.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to know the effectiveness of the extract of soybean (Glycine max L. Mer) in lieu of ZA on the quality of Nata de banana skin and analyze potential design Student Worksheet (LKS) in learning biology in high school of research results. This research consists of two stage. The first stage of research that is making nata de banana skin using the experimental method with completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 5 treatments and 3 replications. Parameters that observed is measured were thickness, fiber content and organoleptic test. The results of research obtained then analyzed  ANOVA and a further test DMRT at 5% level. The second stage is the phase design (draft) Student Worksheet (LKS) sourced from the results of the first stage. The research result show that the soy extract significant effect on the thickness, fiber content and organoleptic tests. The best treatment is the use of soy extract 50%. Which results in the thickness of 0,89cm and crude fiber content of 1.88%. The resulting fiber content has met the quality requirements according to SNI 01-4317-1996 is a maximum of 4.5%. As for organoleptic texture, color, aroma, taste and preference level best against the use of soy extract 50%.The results of this research was be used as design student worksheet (LKS) in subject matter the outcomes of the implications of biotechnology on salingtemas the sub material with conventional biotechnology.
