Abstract

Cibarusah Market is a traditional market located at Jalan Raya Cibarusah No. 41, Cibarusah Kota Village, Cibarusah District, Bekasi Regency, West Java Province. Numerous new problems have emerged, causing the community activities in the area to be ineffective, such as traffic congestion, vehicle circulation, pedestrian circulation, and waste management. Another issue is the inefficiency of the market building itself. There is a need for improvements in the layout of this building to make it more effective and efficient, as well as to create a structure that attracts people to shop and serves as the main shopping center in Cibarusah District by using the principles of behavioral architecture. The method used to achieve the final design includes field surveys, data collection, data analysis, concept development, and final design. Planning involves rearranging kiosks and stalls within the market by grouping them according to commodities. This is expected to facilitate the control of the building's utilities

Abstract

Rancangan lanskap dengan tidak memperhatikan lingkungan adalah salah satu dampak negatif yang dapat memberikan kontribusi buruk sehingga menimbulkan permasalahan seperti genangan air pada permukaan jalan, bahkan banjir. Rancangan lanskap berwawasan lingkungan dengan penerapan green infrastructure diharapkan dapat menyelesaikan tantangan pembangunan berbasis tepat guna lahan. Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) merupakan bangunan stadion yang memiliki konsep zero runoff. Salah satu penilaian yang dapat digunakan sebagai panduan dalam green infrastructure adalah manajemen air hujan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan studi kasus dan literature review untuk menganalisis penerapan green infrastructure pada rancangan lanskap. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa JIS telah menerapkan green infrastructure berdasarkan 1) pola sirkulasi, 2) pemilihan material hardscape, dan 3) lanskap pada lahan. Pola sirkulasi memiliki bentuk secara visual adalah berkelok atau meliuk mengikuti kontur dan elevasi tanah sehingga limpasan air hujan di hardscape diarahkan ke softscape dan infrastruktur. Konsep zero runoff diterapkan dalam infrastruktur dengan menggunakan sumur resapan, tangki air baku, modular tank, dan danau retensi. Pemilihan material hardscape dengan menerapkan green infrastructure, yaitu cor beton dan batu alam. Softscape dalam rancangan lanskap sebesar 40% dari luas lahan JIS.

Abstract

Saat ini pemahaman tentang norma-norma pada anak usia dini masih belum sempurna. Pentingnya edukasi pemilahan sampah merupakan salah satu wujud pengamalan norma-norma pada anak usia dini. Hal ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan praktek bagaimana memilih dan memilah sampah yang sesuai sasaran untuk anak usia dini agar dapat diterapkan di lingkungan sekolah dan kehidupan sehari-hari. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang melibatkan guru di Paud As-Salam Wanajaya dengan memberikan gambaran atau contoh dan demonstrasi dalam pemilahan sampah sebagai wujud pengamalan norma-norma masyarakat. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak telah memperoleh kemampuan untuk membedakan mana yang benar dan salah dalam memilah sampah organik dan anorganik. Antusius yang ceria dan semangat pada anak-anak Paud As-Salam Wanajaya saat pembelajaran dan praktek berlangsung mempengaruhi pemahaman mereka tentang jenis-jenis sampah dan bagaimana memilah sampah untuk dibuang ke tempat sampah berdasarkan warna-warna tempat sampah yang sesuai standarnya. Edukasi dengan pendekatan yang menyenangkan dan demonstrasi memberikan dampak positif dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini. Norma sebagai pedoman, struktur, dan pengontrol tingkah laku juga memberikan pembelajaran tentang bersosialisasi dengan teman sebayanya yang bisa tertanam sejak anak usia dini khususnya mengenai pemilahan sampah.

Abstract

One of the public places in the city of Palu is Vatulemo Park. In 2024, Vatulemo Park underwent a revitalization. The goal of this revitalization is to improve the quality and aesthetics of the park while expanding the coverage of public services in the surrounding area. The aim of this research is to use GIS to map the distribution of visitor patterns and the service coverage area of Vatulemo Park. The data collected through field observations, interviews, and visitor surveys were then analyzed using GIS. The study shows that visitors to Vatulemo Park do not only come from the park's service radius but also from outside the service radius. The visitation pattern is distributed based on location and the service coverage of the park, which can be optimized. The condition of the park can be clearly depicted through thematic maps that display the data. This study provides recommendations for park managers in planning the development of more efficient and inclusive infrastructure and services. Therefore, the analysis and visualization of the impact of revitalization on the visitation patterns and service coverage of Vatulemo Park can be successfully carried out using GIS techniques.

Abstract

Urban parks serve as areas that support social interaction and enhance the quality of life for the community. These parks feature vegetation that enhances their aesthetic and provides ecological benefits. Vegetation contributes to visitor comfort and improves park accessibility. However, suboptimal vegetation planning can hinger accessibility for certain groups, such as disabilities, elderly, and children. This study aims to analyze the role and impact of vegetation on accessibility in Vatulemo Park. The research begins with observations, spatial analysis using GIS to examine the distribution of vegetation and circulation patterns park. Additionally, a landscape design evaluation is conducted based on Universal Design principles and accessibility standards for green open spaces. The findings indicate that the distribution of vegetation in Vatulemo Park does not fully support accessibility. Shaded areas along circulation paths and jogging tracks are still insufficient, making the park less comfortable for visitors, especially between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM WITA. Moreover, the lack of vegetation around seating areas and gathering spaces reduces the park's ecological function and user comfort. Therefore, recommendations for improving vegetation placement within the park are necessary to increase greenery along circulation paths and jogging tracks. The selection of plant species should also be adjusted to avoid obstructing visitor activities and comfort. Furthermore, chosen vegetation should not hinder accessibility, and user-friendly pathways should be provided for individuals with special needs. By implementing these strategies, Vatulemo Park is expected to become a more inclusive, comfortable, and ecologically sustainable public space for the residents of Palu City.

Abstract

The microclimate has an influence on architectural design in order to produce thermal comfort. This study aims to evaluate the influence of microclimate on the architectural design of JIS, which is not far from Ancol Beach, especially wind speed. The method used is qualitatively descriptive. The result of the “wind environment study” is planting vegetation as an open space design in the concourse to reduce the high wind speed. Orientation on gate opening spreads flat across the side to optimize audience capacity. The orientation on the JIS mass slope is west-east, known as the west ramp because it has a strategic point as the entrance pedestrian walk and the east ramp as the exit pedestrian walk. On the facade, JIS has “a hole-hole design” with the primary function of air circulation to maximize the comfort of supporters in the stadium building. The building materials used are local materials, recycled materials, like legal wood products, and health-friendly materials. The albedo value calculated for the roof hardening area is 0.65, and for the non-roof hardening area, it is 0.40. The selection of materials is close to bright colors. The stadium roof frame, a construction system greatly influenced by wind, is designed using rules or mathematical formulas (parameters), making it a parametric design that simultaneously enhances aesthetic value. The implementation of the rooftop photovoltaic system at JIS serves to utilize sunlight as an energy-saving measure.

Abstract

The selection of border elements between pedestrian walkways and vehicular roads is a critical aspect of urban landscape design that supports safety, comfort, and visual aesthetics. One widely adopted approach is the use of vegetation as a natural separator. This study aims to visually analyze the effectiveness of plant selection in separating these two functional zones, focusing on safety, visual legibility, and aesthetic value. This research seeks to strengthen through landscape enhancement while providing a pleasant pedestrian experience. The study employed one original site photograph and four digitally altered (montaged) images, which were evaluated by 30 respondents using structured questionnaires. Scenic Beauty Estimation (SBE) and Semantic Differential (SD) methods were applied to assess visual aesthetic quality. The results indicate that plant type significantly influences perceived aesthetic quality and is closely associated with user perception. The study concludes that medium-height shrubs are the most suitable choice for pedestrian borders, as they enhance visual aesthetics while maintaining a functional and environmentally responsive road landscape.

Abstract

The implementation of ecological architecture in residential homes to support healthy homes and habitable homes so that they can provide benefits for residents, health, the environment, and architecture. The method carried out is qualitative by mentoring to homeowners to understand about ecological architecture. The results of this mentoring are 1) the implementation of local wisdom through the use of local materials, namely red bricks and tiles and the use of yards, 2) human resource development through the skills of homeowners as builders, 3) utilization of knowledge by implementing ecological architecture, namely air, water, land/earth, and heat/fire, and 4) improvement of human health by implementing building orientation, circulation of windows and doors, and environmental control by managing the environment from damage such as air pollution and garbage.
