Abstract

Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), also known as tilapia, is one of the most common types of freshwater fish brought to several Asian countries, including Indonesia. Disease factors are obstacles in fish farming, and the emergence of diseases during fish farming is a danger that must always be anticipated. Harumanis mango seed solution is a material that can be used to protect and treat fish that are affected by disease. Harumanis mango seeds are natural ingredients that have the potential to increase the immune system. This study aims to determine the blood picture of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fed with the addition of mango seed solution. It can be seen from the blood of tilapia, which shows the total number of erythrocytes, leukocytes, and hematocrit. The study was conducted from April to June 2024. The test fish were kept in Tambun Village, Baolan Village, and Tolitoli Regency. Then, the blood picture was analyzed at the Integrated Science Laboratory of Madako University, Tolitoli. The results of this study indicate that observations of the blood of tilapia fed with the addition of fragrant mango seed solution gave results that had a significant effect of P0.05 on total erythrocytes, total leukocytes, and hematocrit values. total erythrocytes (2,853,333.33 cells/mm3), leukocytes (29,000,000 cells/mm3), and hematocrit (12.53%) In this case, it is still a normal range value. Based on the study's results, it can be concluded that providing feed containing fragrant sweet mango seed solution has a positive impact on tilapia. This can be seen from the observed blood picture which is within the normal range.

Abstract

Modeling a lapse rate is an important subject for life insurance companies because a lapse rate can impact the premium pricing, the reserves, and profitability. In this paper, we calculate the lapse rate and implement a similar approach proposed by the Life Insurance Marketing and Research Association (LIMRA) and the Society of Actuaries (SOA). We analyze lapse rate data from one Sharia insurance company in Indonesia, covering an eight-year period with a total of more than one hundred thousand policyholders. Sharia insurance is aimed at managing contributions based on Sharia principles for mutual assistance and protection by providing compensation to participants/policyholders for losses due to an uncertain event or by providing payments based on the death or the survival of participants. We observe the lapse rates by the face amount group, by genders, and by premium payment frequencies. We found three conclusions, which are mostly that the lower the face amount group, the higher the lapse rate; the lapse rate is not significantly different by gender; and the lapse rate for quarterly payment frequency is higher than for other frequencies.

Abstract

In today's evolving era, many changes occur with various products emerging to meet market demands, leadi ng many women to enhance their beauty by caring for their skin and face. One common way women take care of their skin and face is by using skincare and body care products. The use of these products can boost women's self-confidence, as they help maintain healthy and well-cared- for skin and facesThis study aims to examine the influence of celebrity testimonials in live streaming and brand image on purchase decisions on Shopee E-commerce, with a case study on Scarlett Whitening products in Cempaka Permai Village, Gading Cempaka District, Bengkulu City This research is a quantitative descriptive study, with the population consisting of Scarlett Whitening product users in the area. The sampling method used was proportional sampling, with a total of 110 respondents. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires Data analysis techniques included multiple linear regression analysis, the coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing. Based on the processed data, the regression equation obtained using SPSS 25 is: Y2389 0.216 X1 +0.770 X2 ei, with an R Square (R³) value of 0.878. This value indicates that the independent variables contribute 87 8% to influencing the dependent variable. The hypothesis test results show that live streaming and brand image together have a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions for Scarlett Whitening users in Cempaka Permai Village, Gading Cempaka District, Bengkulu City. Keywords: Live Streaming, Brand Image, and Purchase Decision.

Abstract

Based on IIFM Sukuk Report 2022, global sukuk issuance has shown a single digit increase of around 7.72\%, the highest value of yearly sukuk issuances to date. This fact shows that sukuk is increasingly popular and will continue to grow in the future, encourages more research related to this subject. Sukuk, as one of the innovative investment instruments in Islamic finance, is often equated to conventional bonds. However, the existing literature primarily concentrates on its structures and mechanisms, largely overlooking the pricing aspects of both sukuk and bonds. Therefore, this study will discuss pricing in mathematical terms for the two investment instruments discussed. More particularly, this paper covers the Indonesian Sukuk system’s operation. Numerical simulations have been done, using the characteristics of several varieties of Indonesian Sukuk and a variety of defined inputs. These mathematics simulation used to comprehend the technical aspects of sukuk and understand the principles of Islamic finance. The results of this study indicate that while some studies claim that sukuk's structure resembles bonds and that the pricing is determined accordingly, the comparison of both instruments prices provided no results consistent with the claims. Further study is required to examine the sukuk pricing mechanism, particularly in determining the value of profit sharing on sukuk.

Abstract

Deposit insurance is an important mechanism in protecting bank customers from the risk of bankruptcy and providing a sense of security for their savings. Under deposit insurance, customers will still receive a refund of their funds up to a certain limit determined by the deposit insurance agency. This research aims to construct a formula to calculate the premium of deposit insurance with a given upper claim limit. To the best of the authors' knowledge, this article is the first study that gives a formula for deposit insurance premiums with a coverage limit. First, we present a theorem that shows the equivalence between the claim of deposit insurance with coverage limit with the payoff of two put options. Secondly, under the assumption that the asset follows Geometric Brownian Motion, we determine the fair price of the premium of deposit insurance. The main research findings indicate that the sum of two Black-Scholes options with different strike prices can be used to determine the premium value of deposit insurance while considering the applied coverage limits. Finally, we simulate some sensitivity analysis to gain a deeper understanding on the impact of several important variables on the magnitude of premium. Based on sensitivity analysis, it is found that the premium value is inversely proportional to interest rates and directly proportional to asset price volatility.
