Abstract

The social assistance of the Family Hope Program (PKH) is closely related to the cultural poverty that exists in beneficiary women. PKH carries out empowerment by using all the potential, natural resources or even human resources with the support of the government, so that the community becomes more independent. Based on the concept of empowerment theory with the using dimension and the theory of women’s empowerment from the Impact dimension, research data show PKH could not empower women individually or in groups (KPM). This research uses a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The results showed that 32 people could not understand and implement this independence because of education and understanding of the program or training provided. Social capital is a form of strengthening among these components.

Abstract

This research is to find out whether there is a direct influence of pedagogical competence on teacher quality, whether there is an influence of teacher student relationship on teacher quality, whether there is a direct influence of pedagogical competence on teacher performance, whether there is a direct influence of teacher student relationship on teacher performance, whether there is a direct influence of teacher quality on teacher performance, whether there is an indirect influence of pedagogical competence on teacher performance through teacher quality, whether there is an indirect influence of teacher student relationship on teacher performance through teacher quality in English teachers of private junior high schools and MTs in Serang City, The purpose of this study is to find out, the direct effect of pedagogical competence on teacher quality, the effect of teacher student relationship on teacher quality, the direct effect of pedagogical competence on teacher performance, the direct effect of teacher student relationship on teacher, the direct effect of teacher quality on teacher performance, the indirect effect of pedagogical competence on teacher performance through teacher quality, the indirect effect of teacher student relationship on teacher performance through teacher quality in English teachers in junior high schools and private MTs in Serang City. To achieve this research, researchers used quantitative methods with analytical tools in the form of SEM and Smart PLS tools. For a population of 148 teachers with a minimum sample size of 106 using non probability sampling. The results showed that the influence of pedagogical competence, teacher student relationship, teacher quality, teacher perform affiliated well perceived by the teachers so that there is a positive and significant influence on all variables that are interconnected with each other.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui;1) Makna simbolik yang terkandung dalam proses ritual pembuatan perahu Sandeq, dan 2) Relasi makna proses pembuatan perahu Sandeq dalam mempengaruhi pola hidup masyarakat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Adapun jumlah informan dalam penelitian ini adalah 5 orang, ditentukan melalui Purposive Sampling dengan kriteria informan :1) pembuat perahu, 2) tokoh agama, dan  3) nahkoda perahu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan teknik member chek. Analisis data dilakukan dengan kondensasi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; 1) Makna simbolik dalam setiap proses pembuatan perahu Sandeq adapun makna dari setiap prosesi ritual yaitu; Mambaca-baca (bentuk rasa syukur serta memohon doa keselamatan dalam mengerjakan perahu Sandeq), Matto’bo’ (pelindung atau tameng perahu dari segala bentuk guna-guna), Pallayarang (pengharapan agar kuatnya tiang layar perahu yang digunakan), Mapposiq (merupakan pusat dari perahu yang percaya sebagai jiwa dari perahu Sandeq), Makkuliwa (bentuk peresmian perahu Sandeq), Mapparondong Lopi (proses penurunan perahu, dengan harapan perahu yang berlayar akan selalu mengingat jalan untuk kembali dan selamat dalam melakukan pelayaran). 2) Relasi makna  proses pembuatan perahu Sandeq dalam mempengaruhi pola hidup masyarakat suku Mandar yaitu; a) Harapan keselamatan dan b) kelimpahan rejeki. Kata Kunci : Perahu Sandeq, Makna, Budaya
