Abstract

Abstract. Information and communication technology (ICT) have an important role in teaching and learning activities, especially in learning assessment. Instructional assessment is one of a series of learning activities aimed at correcting, controlling the extent to which learning objectives have been achieved. Instructional assessment can be done with the help of computers and the internet so that the management of learning outcomes becomes easier, faster, and real time. The technology that can be used in the assessment process is such as edmodo, google quiz, hot potatoes, quiz creator. But in reality, most learning activities that teachers use are still conventional. That is due to the lack of knowledge and mastery of teachers on the use of information and communication technology, especially in instructional assessment. Therefore, there is a need for training on the use of ICT-based Instructional assessment to improve teachers’ competency. The approach method used assistance that includes socialization, workshops, training, hands-on practice, and evaluation. The results obtained state that evaluation of learning is very important for a program and purpose, both educational, learning, or training programs.Abstrak. Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi memiliki peranan penting dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar terutama dalam evaluasi pembelajaran. evaluasi pembelajaran merupakan salah satu rangkaian dalam kegiatan pembelajaran yang bertujuan untuk mengoresksi, mengontrol sejauh mana tujuan pembelajaran telah dicapai.  Evaluasi pembelajaran dapat dilakukan dengan bantuan komputer serta internet sehingga pengelolaan hasil belajar pun menjadi lebih mudah, cepat dan real time. Adapun teknologi yang dapat digunakan dalam proses evaluasi tersebut seperti edmodo, google quiz, hot potatoes, quiz creator. Akan tetapi realitanya, kebanyakan kegiatan pembelajaran yang digunakan guru sekarang masih konvensional. Hal itu disebabkan minimnya pengetahuan dan penguasaan guru terhadap pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi terutama dalam evaluasi pembelajaran. Oleh sebab itu perlu adanya pelatihan pemanfaatan evaluasi pembelajaran berbasis ICT meningkatkan kompetensi guru. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendampingan yang meliputi sosialisasi, workshop, pelatihan, praktik langsung, dan evaluasi. Hasil yang didapatkan menyatakan bahwa evaluasi pembelajaran sangat penting untuk suatu program dan tujuan, baik program pendidikan, pembelajaran, atau pun pelatihan.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan serta pendampingan keterampilan mengajar bahasa Arab abad 21 berbasis platform digital dan artificial intelligence untuk memberikan pengalaman belajar yang aktif, efektif, dan menyenangkan bagi siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam 5 fase, yaitu: (1) sosialisasi kegiatan kepada para pengajar bahasa Arab di Jawa Timur yang tergabung dalam asosiasi pengajar bahasa Arab (IMLA Daerah Jawa Timur) dari unsur guru madin, TPQ, pesantren, sekolah/madrasah, dan kampus serta Forum Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (F-MGMP) Bahasa Arab Jawa Timur; (2) pengkajian technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK); (3) Focus Group Discussion (FGD) antara Tim Pengabdian dengan Pengurus IMLA Daerah Jawa Timur dan Forum Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (F-MGMP) Bahasa Arab Jawa Timur untuk menggali lebih detail problematika pembelajaran bahasa Arab di madin, pesantren, TPQ dll.; (4) pelatihan dalam bentuk workshop untuk mengembangkan fundamental digital teaching skills; dan (5) pendampingan untuk memastikan penerapan strategi gamifikasi dalam pengajaran bahasa Arab berbasis platform digital berjalan dengan lancar dan sesuai harapan. Subyek pengabdian adalah para pengajar bahasa Arab dari unsur guru madin, TPQ, pesantren, sekolah/madrasah, dan kampus. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah adanya upgrading skills dalam mengajar bahasa Arab yang inovatif, efektif, dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

Teaching Qur’anic Arabic is often overlooked in programs for Qur’an memorization, even though it is essential for students to memorize and comprehend the divine message in its original language. Teaching Qur’anic Arabic has faced challenges in the digital era in many pesantren. They have faced numerous problems in media usage and teaching methods, especially for teachers who are teaching students specializing in Qur’an memorization. This community service programs aim to provide Metacognitive Memorizing Model Training to strengthen understanding of Qur’anic Arabic for Qur’anic memorizers based on Chunking Digital Materials. This community service activity was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Tahfizul Qur’an Al-Mu’anawiyah, Sambisari, Ceweng, Diwek, Jombang. This service activity was carried out in 5 phases, namely: (1) socialization of activities to partners; (2) assessment of technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK); (3) Focus Group Discussion (FGD) between the service team and the head of the foundation and pesantren administrators; (4) training in the application of the Metacognitive Memorizing Model to strengthen understanding of Qur’anic Arabic; and (5) mentoring. The results of this activity are that the community service team has developed Moodle-based e-learning for interactive Arabic language learning, written a book entitled ‘E-Learning Arabic Language Learning,’ and researched and published work related to Arabic Language Learning innovations. The level of technology readiness for the community service is at level 4, which is the application of the use, development, and application of technology in society. The result of this training activity is that the students of Al-Qur’an memorization have high enthusiasm for learning Arabic and can apply the Qur’anic Arabic Comprehension of Chunking Digital Materials method.[Pengajaran Bahasa Arab Qur’ani sering terabaikan dalam program-program hafalan Al-Qur’an, padahal hal ini sangat penting bagi siswa/santri tidak hanya untuk menghafal tetapi juga memahami pesan Ilahi dalam bahasa asli, yakni bahasa Arab. Pengajaran bahasa Arab Qur’ani menghadapi tantangan dan kendala di banyak pesantren. Mereka menghadapi berbagai masalah dalam penggunaan media dan metode pengajaran, terutama bagi para guru dalam mengajar siswa yang focus dalam menghafal Al-Qur’an. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan Pelatihan Metacognitive Memorizing Model untuk penguatan pemahaman Bahasa Arab Qur’ani bagi penghafal Al-Qur’an berbasis Chunking Digital Materials. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Tahfizul Qur'an Al-Mu'anawiyah, Sambisari, Ceweng, Diwek, Jombang. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam 5 fase, yaitu: (1) sosialisasi kegiatan kepada mitra; (2) pengkajian Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK); (3) Focus Group Discussion (FGD) antara tim pengabdian dengan ketua yayasan dan pengurus pesantren; (4) pelatihan penerapan Metacognitive Memorizing Model untuk penguatan pemahaman Bahasa Arab Qur’ani; dan (5) pendampingan. Keunggulan kegiatan ini adalah tim pengabdian telah mengembangkan e-learning berbasis moodle untuk pembelajaran Bahasa Arab interaktif dan menulis buku berjudul, “E-Learning Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab” serta meneliti dan memublikasikan karya terkait inovasi Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab (PBA). Tingkat Kesiapterapan Teknologi (TKT) pengabdian ini berada pada level 4, yaitu aplikasi penggunaan, pengembangan, dan penerapan teknologi di masyarakat. Hasil dari kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah santri penghafal Al-Qur'an memiliki antusias yang tinggi dalam belajar bahasa Arab dan mampu menerapkan pembelajaran bahasa Arab Qur'ani dengan media Chunking Digital Materials.]

Abstract

Students of junior schools that have never studied Arabic language in elementary schools get more difficulties than the students that have studied it before. They are called novice students and must learn basic things of a new language such as mufradat because they must master, memorize, understand, and use it in order to have a good grip of mufradat, translate it, and able to use it in correct phrases and sentences. This research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using mimicry memorization method for learning mufradat in Junior High School of Muhammadiyah and to investigate the extent which students improve memorization skills after using mimicry memorization method. The research was a quantitative method with a type of experimental research techniques. The data research was collected from observation, documentation, and oral tests techniques. The population of the study included 7th grade students of Junior High School Muhammadiyah 8 Batu and the samples were 7C students as experimental class and 7D students as control class. The results of research contributed that there was an increase 0.825 (large level) point in students’ memorizing ability after using mimicry memorization method. This method was effective to use for novice students in learning mufradat. A language teacher needs to consider this method for novice students. The study provides further support for the use mimicry memorization method for novice students in mastering new vocabularies.
