Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Denison's organizational culture model on employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. The Denison model is used because it focuses on four key dimensions: engagement, consistency, adaptability, and mission, which allows for a more measurable and concrete evaluation of organizational culture. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method through questionnaires distributed to employees. The data obtained were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the relationship between these variables. The results showed that organizational culture has a significant influence on employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. In addition, this study found that employee engagement has a significant influence on organizational effectiveness. The analysis of Denison's model of organizational culture shows that the dimensions interact and contribute to creating a work environment that supports employee engagement and increased organizational effectiveness. This research emphasizes the importance of an in-depth understanding of organizational culture in the context of MSMEs, thus providing new and relevant insights for developing organizational management theory and practice in the MSME sector.

Abstract

Balancing caregiving duties with multiple responbilities is a persistent challenge for housewives, particularly those managing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Bapukung, a traditional swaddling practice from South Kalimantan, offers a potential solution by improving infant sleep quality and providing mothers with uninterrupted time to manage household and business tasks. This study investigates the influence of Bapukung on the productivity and role balance of housewives using a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Data were collected from 30 respondents in South Kalimantan through structured questionnaires. Results reveal that Bapukung significantly influences both productivity (β = 0.816, p < 0.05) and role balance (β = 0.787, p < 0.05). These findings align with the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Balanced Scorecard frameworks, demonstrating how cultural practices can serve as strategic resources to enhance time management and efficiency. The study contributes to the integration of local wisdom into modern management theories, offering practical implications for family welfare programs and entrepreneurship training. Future research should explore the scalability of Bapukung across diverse cultural contexts and its long-term influence on family dynamics and maternal well-being.

Abstract

The community service partners are housewives in Cindai Alus Village, Banjar Regency, who, in addition to their domestic roles, are also actively managing home-based microenterprises, particularly in the production of traditional Banjar snacks. This condition presents challenges, as most of them still have toddlers who require full attention, often disrupting the continuity of production. The program was implemented to enhance the ability of homemakers to manage their time, balance family roles with productivity, and reintroduce the traditional bapukung method, which functions to soothe children, support better sleep, and promote child development. The approach included socialization, training, and hands-on practice in utilizing sasirangan fabric as a material for the bapukung cradle, while also providing economic value through the development of handicraft skills. The results of the program indicate an increased understanding of daily time management, improved skills in producing sasirangan fabric products, and greater awareness of the benefits of bapukung in reducing interruptions during production activities. By applying this method, homemakers can allocate their time more effectively, thereby improving business productivity. This program concludes that strengthening the capacity of homemakers through traditional and innovative approaches can encourage economic welfare while simultaneously preserving local wisdom.

Abstract

The transition into a higher education environment often triggers academic pressure demanding optimal adaptive performance and a balance between study and personal life. Amidst modernization challenges, the local wisdom value of Bapukung holds strategic potential as an often-overlooked internal resource for self-management. This study aims to construct a predictive structural model to explain the mediating mechanism of dynamic strategic capabilities in the relationship between cultural affiliation and student performance outcomes. Data were collected via a survey of 81 first-year female students in South Kalimantan and analyzed using the Regularized Structural Equation Modeling method with the Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator penalty. This statistical approach was applied to perform simultaneous variable selection to generate precise parameter estimates within a limited sample size. Analysis results indicate that cultural affiliation significantly builds the capabilities of sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring resources. A crucial finding from the model selection is a unique role specialization: the reconfiguring capability dominantly determines adaptive performance, while the seizing capability exclusively determines study-life balance. This study concludes that local culture serves as a vital foundation for developing modern self-management competencies, in which mental flexibility is the key to academic achievement and decisiveness is the determinant of life well-being.

Abstract

Background: This study describes health workers’ perceptions, readiness, and experiences in providing culturally diverse-based services at Banjang Community Health Center. Such services are essential for inclusive and equitable healthcare that respects patients’ differences in ethnicity, religion, culture, language, and personal habits. Method: A descriptive quantitative method was used with open-ended questionnaires completed by 21 health workers, including medical staff, midwives, nurses, and administrative personnel. Data were analyzed descriptively by categorizing responses and identifying themes from six main questions. Result: Results indicate that health workers understand the importance of cultural diversity, are prepared to serve patients from various backgrounds, and demonstrate empathy, effective communication, patience, and professionalism. Support from leadership and colleagues strengthens an inclusive work environment, although challenges such as language differences and local customs remain. Conclusion: Recommendations include cross-cultural communication training, facility improvements, dissemination of diversity policies, and regular evaluations.
