Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan nilai budaya, moral, dan religi yang terdapat dalam kumpulan pantun Melayu Sambas. Metode penelitian yang  digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Hasil penelitian menyimpulakan bahwa: (1) nilai budaya dalam pantun Melayu Sambas adalah nilai yang mengandung adat atau kebiasaan orang-orang Melayu. Dalam pantun-pantun tersebut terdapat tanda-tanda kebahasaan yaitu simbol dan pantun tersebut mengandung nilai budaya; (2) nilai pendidikan moral yang terkandung dalam pantun Melayu Sambas memberikan ajaran mengenai perilaku yang positif dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dalam pantun-pantun tersebut terdapat tanda-tanda kebahasaan yaitu simbol dan pantun tersebut mengandung nilai pendidikan; dan (3) nilai religius yang terkandung dalam kumpulan pantun Sambas berupa nilai-nilai yang berhubungan dengan Tuhan. Nilai-nilai tersebut diantaranya berupa nilai kepatuhan terhadap orang tua, tindakan poligami, dan menuntut ilmu dunia dan akhirat agar manusia mendapat rahmatNya sebagai bekal menjalani hidup di dunia maupun akhirat.Kata Kunci: nilai budaya, nilai moral, nilai religi, pantun Melayu Sambas.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the quality of the odd semester final exam items for the Introduction to Editing course for the 2020/2021 academic year at the Indonesian Literature Program, Universitas Negeri Semarang. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive method. The research subjects were 60 students. Data collection techniques were carried out by documenting. Quantitative data analysis based on level of difficulty, discriminating power, quality of distractors, validity, and reliability with 100 questions. The results of the analysis show that the quality of the odd semester final exam items in the Introduction to Editing course has a moderate level of difficulty, sufficient discriminating power, and very good distracting qualities. In addition, there are 68 valid items and 0.78 reliability in the high category. The conclusion of the study is that the odd semester final exam items for the Introduction to Editing subject need to be revised to improve the quality of the items.

Abstract

Tundang art is a form of oral literature from the Malay community in West Kalimantan that contains educational, moral, religious, and cultural values passed down through generations. This study aims to reveal the structure and function of tundang art as a traditional educational medium within the Malay society, focusing on tundang verses themed around the 27th Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) of West Kalimantan Province. The research employs a structural and functional approach with a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through documentation, transcription, and text analysis of 15 purposively selected tundang verses. The results show that structurally, the tundang verses have a consistent rhyme pattern (a-b-a-b), consist of four lines per stanza, each line containing 6–9 syllables, with a division between the sampiran (opening) and isi (content) reflecting the typology of Malay pantun. Functionally, tundang serves as a medium for moral education (instilling ethics and politeness), religious education (strengthening Islamic values), cultural education (preserving local customs and traditions), and entertainment (engaging through rhythm and wordplay). This study concludes that tundang not only functions as a performing art but also as a rich educational vehicle, making it highly potential for development in literature learning based on local wisdom.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of webtoon media use on the short story writing skills of 11th grade students at Abdi Wacana Christian High School in Pontianak. The method used is experimental research with a pre-experimental design and a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection was carried out using tests and documentation. The research population included all 119 students in the 11th grade at SMA Kristen Abdi Wacana Pontianak, with a sample size of 15 students. Data analysis was performed using a t-test to determine the difference between the pretest and posttest results. The analysis results show that the average pretest score was 41.33, which is considered adequate, while the average posttest score increased to 66.67, which is considered excellent. The t-test results show a calculated t-value of 6.677, which is greater than the table t-value of 2.145 at a significance level of 0.05, indicating a significant difference between before and after the treatment. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of webtoon media has a positive and significant effect on improving the short story writing skills of 11th grade students at Abdi Wacana Christian High School in Pontianak.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Self-Directed Learning (SDL) terhadap keterampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas VII A SMPN 08 Seluas, Kabupaten Bengkayang. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi experiment), menggunakan teknik pre-test dan post-test. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 08 Seluas, yaitu kelas VII A dan VII B yang berjumlah total 38 siswa. Populasi merupakan sekelompok individu atau objek yang memiliki karakteristik tertentu dan menjadi fokus kajian penelitian. Untuk memperoleh data yang representatif, digunakan teknik pengambilan sampel simple random sampling, yaitu pemilihan sampel secara acak tanpa mempertimbangkan strata atau lapisan dalam populasi. Melalui proses pengundian, yang terpilih sebagai sampel adalah kelas VII A yang terdiri dari 19 siswa. Sampel ini diharapkan dapat mewakili karakteristik seluruh populasi agar hasil penelitian lebih akurat dan relevan. hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai siswa meningkat dari 60,00 pada pre-test menjadi 72,89 pada post-test. Uji Paired Sample t-Test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (< 0,05), yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan. Selain itu, nilai effect size sebesar 1,0 mengindikasikan pengaruh yang sangat besar secara praktis. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Self-Directed Learning berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi siswa. Aspek Penilaian Menulis Puisi dilakukan menggunakan rubrik penilaian, yaitu panduan sistematis yang memuat kriteria seperti tema, diksi, imaji, kata konkret, dan gaya bahasa, masing-masing dengan rentang skor 1-4. Total skor maksimal adalah 20. Rubrik ini membantu guru menilai secara objektif dan konsisten. Lama perlakuan dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi disesuaikan dengan alokasi waktu yang ditetapkan dalam RPP, biasanya berlangsung selama 2-3 pertemuan. Implikasi hasil dari penilaian ini memberi gambaran kemampuan siswa dalam mengekspresikan ide secara puitis, serta menjadi dasar bagi guru bahasa Indonesia dalam memberikan umpan balik, memperbaiki strategi pembelajaran, dan meningkatkan kompetensi literasi siswa.Kata kunci: Self-Directed Learning; keterampilan menulis puisi; model pembelajaranABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effect of using the Self-Directed Learning (SDL) model on the poetry writing skills of Grade VII A students at SMPN 08 Seluas, Bengkayang Regency. The method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design, utilizing pre-test and post-test techniques. The population of this study consists of all Grade VII students at SMPN 08 Seluas, namely classes VII A and VII B, totaling 38 students. A population is a group of individuals or objects with specific characteristics that become the focus of a study. To obtain representative data, the sampling technique used was simple random sampling, which involves randomly selecting samples without considering strata or layers within the population. Through a drawing process, Class VII A, consisting of 19 students, was selected as the sample. This sample is expected to represent the characteristics of the entire population so that the research results are more accurate and relevant. The analysis results show that the students’ average scores increased from 60.00 in the pre-test to 72.89 in the post-test. The Paired Sample t-Test produced a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference. Furthermore, the effect size value of 1.0 indicates a very large practical effect. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Self-Directed Learning model has a significant effect on improving students’ poetry writing skills. The assessment of poetry writing was conducted using a scoring rubric, which is a systematic guide containing criteria such as theme, diction, imagery, concrete words, and figurative language, each with a score range of 1–4. The maximum total score is 20. This rubric helps teachers assess objectively and consistently. The duration of the poetry writing instruction was adjusted according to the time allocation set in the lesson plan (RPP), typically carried out over 2–3 sessions.The implications of this assessment provide an overview of students' ability to express ideas poetically and serve as a basis for Indonesian language teachers to provide feedback, improve teaching strategies, and enhance students' literacy competence.Keywords: Self-Directed Learning; poetry writing skills; learning model

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis tindak tutur perlokusi dalam akun youtube Khalid Basalamah Official. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Pendekatan ini menyarankan bahwa data kualitatif dapat dikumpulkan, diorganisasikan, ditafsirkan, dianalisis, dan dikomunikasikan untuk mengatasi masalah dunia nyata. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Data penelitian ini yaitu kutipan dalam youtube terkait dengan tindak tutur perlokusi. Sumber data platform youtube Ustadz Khalid Basalamah menjadi pokok bahasan penelitian ini, sebagai platform hijrah inspiratif muslim di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian terkait tema-tema sebagai platform hijrah inspiratif sebagai berikut: (1) Tauhid, (2) Surga dan Neraka, (3) Sirah Nabawiyah, (4) Kisah Sahabat Nabi, (5) Dosa dan Pahala, (6) Rumah Tangga Islami, dan (7) Kematian.Kata kunci: Analisis, tindak tutur, hijrah inspiratif, youtube

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between reading interest and the ability to write fantasy texts among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Ngabang. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational research type. The instruments used are questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The population of this study includes seventh-grade students, totaling 225 students, with a sample of 32 students selected from class VII H. Data analysis was conducted using the Product Moment correlation technique. The results showed that the calculated r was smaller than the table r (-0.066 < 0.349), so it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between reading interest and the ability to write fantasy texts among the students studied
