Abstract

This article discusses the applicative textual interpretation of the content of Hadith. The Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad plays a significant role in Islam as a guiding principle in life and as a source of practice in daily life. Understanding the content of Hadith requires a certain approach to avoid misunderstandings in practicing a Hadith. The abundance of misconceptions in understanding Hadith without proper approach leads to a blame game, resulting in numerous problems and conflicts due to differences in understanding, which breed mutual animosity among individuals. Understanding Hadith while considering various aspects is declining. This research presents applicative textual interpretation through several Hadith to understand the content of Hadith from the aspects of creed, worship, law, exhortation and deterrence, and guidance. This research is a qualitative study through library research, collecting data from primary sources and relevant books. This research is expected to contribute to the discourse and educate the public to understand Hadith carefully to reduce problems caused by misunderstandings in understanding the content of the Prophet's Hadith texts. Additionally, it is hoped to encourage academics to further develop research related to textual interpretation of Hadith content.

Abstract

Jihad is a word that can inspire great enthusiasm in some people, but on the other hand, it can also instill fear and trauma in others. This is because, in today's context, jihad is often understood by many as a movement of struggle by a minority group of Muslims, which has subsequently created fear among the general public. Jihad is indeed frequently misunderstood, not only by Muslims but also by Western observers who often interpret it as merely a war against non-believers. This research aims to explore the hadiths (sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad) about Jihad and explain them by adapting them to the current Indonesian context. Therefore, in this study, a qualitative method is used, where the hadiths related to jihad will be analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of this research show that in the Indonesian context today, jihad is an effort to strengthen Indonesia in various sectors, such as development and economy, which includes the individual struggles of people to improve their own and their families' well-being. Additionally, education and national character are also essential aspects to be improved so that a correct understanding of Islam can thrive in the midst of society Keywords: Reactualization, Jihad, Hadis

Abstract

This study is motivated by the complexity of familial relationships in pre-Islamic Arab society and their ongoing transformation in the contemporary era. Interactions between non-mahram family members often lead to potential fitnah and conflict, necessitating a critical examination of the hadith, "The brother-in-law is a source of danger." This hadith carries profound meanings within the social and moral framework of Islam, thus requiring further analysis. This study investigates the authenticity of the hadith's sanad and matan using a qualitative literature review approach. The primary sources analyzed include Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Tirmidhi, Sunan al-Darimi, and Musnad Ahmad, alongside theoretical frameworks related to sanad and matan criticism in hadith studies. The analysis reveals that this hadith is not merely a literal prohibition but rather a warning against the dangers of uncontrolled interactions within the family environment. Unrestricted interactions can lead to moral deviations, fitnah, and even the potential disintegration of the Islamic social order. These findings affirm that ethical boundaries in social interactions remain relevant across different eras, both in traditional societies and in the digital age, where communication is increasingly open and complex. The implications of this study underscore the importance of integrating Sharia values into social and educational policies to enhance ethical awareness and create a harmonious environment adaptable to contemporary challenges. Furthermore, this study contributes to the development of contemporary Islamic thought and encourages the reformulation of ethical policies in both family and professional settings.
