Abstract

The song Zapin Usik Mengusik is a Malay Pop song in the zapin style created by a figure from Malaysia named Naz. This song was popularized by the Lakon Senario and Haida groups in neighboring Malaysia. This song is very suitable for teenagers who are in love. The rhythm of this song is typical Malay, verse after verse like a rhyme that follows each other. The author is interested in introducing this Malay song to Minang cultured teenagers who of course hear Minang songs more often. The author rearranged this song in the form of a Malay zapin-style ensemble using traditional and modern musical instruments including electric guitar, bass guitar, jimbe drum, string (keyboard), accordion (keyboard), cajon, tambourine, gendang kompang and vocals. This qualitative research is to see the response of Minangkabau cultural teenagers to Malay culture. To obtain this response, this research was supported by lecture methods, demonstrations, training, and evaluation methods. Response indicators are obtained when teenagers in the student category gain knowledge and are able to play and perform the Malay song Zapin Usik Mengusik in a musical ensemble format at SMKN 2 Padangpanjang through the song Zapin Usik Mengusik.

Abstract

Abstract120 Arpeggio Op. 1 developed by Mauro Giuliani is a technique exercises specifically targeting the improvement of the ability of the right finger for classical guitarists. Various variations or complete right finger exercise formulas are summarized in 120 Arpeggio Op. 1 Mauro Giuliani. This research was conducted with the aim to find out about any aspect of the right hand that had improved after practicing using the 120 Arpeggio Op. 1 technique exercises method of Mauro Giuliani. The results of this research showed that there were several things that technically the right hand had improved after doing the exercises with the M. Giulian method, including: (1) Speed of the plucking, (2) Finger synchronization when plucking the string, (3) Accuracy of the finger when plucking the guitar strings and (4) Articulation. The method used in this study is a qualitative method by prioritizing explanations which are then forwarded analytically to the research object.

Abstract

Artikel ini memuat tentang pertunjukan repertoar gitar dan analisis permainan karya seni musik instrumen gitar klasik dan elektrik dengan repertoar yang dipilih yaitu Concerto In D Major, Laila Canggung dan Ephiphany. Analisis yang dihadirkan berupa permainan teknik gitar klasik serta gitar elektrik seperti Tirando dan appoyando, Apergio Right Hand, Legato, Barrer, Palm Mute, Vibrato, Slide dan Bending, Form Musik, gaya dan genre, serta metode pertunjukan. Ketiga repertoar yang dipilih ditinjau dari tingkat kesulitan sebagai bentuk pencapaian dari hasil pembelajaran musik di kampus ISI PadangpanjangKata Kunci: Pertunjukan Solois; Teknik Gitar Klasik dan Elektrik; Repertoar; ConcertoABSTRACTThis article contains an repertoire show and analysis of the playing of classical and electric guitar instruments with the selected repertoire of Concerto In D Major, Laila Canggung and Ephiphany. Abstract

ABSTRAKRepertoar musik dari berbagai era seperti modern, melayu dan popular dikemas kedalam sebuah pertunjukan solis gitar dengan menggunakan kaidah pertunjukan konvensional. Repertoar dalam pertunjukan ini terdiri dari repertoar pada berbagai era. Repertoar pertama dalam pertunjukan adalah repertoar era modern atau pada abad 19 yang berjudul Sonata No.1 dengan komposer Leo Brouwer yang diciptakan pada tahun 1990, karya ini didedikasikan Leo Brouwer untuk Julian Bream. Repertor kedua adalah Dondang Sayang merupakan lagu melayu Negeri Malaka yang diciptakan oleh NN (No Name). Repertoar terakhir adalah Pagan Part II yang diciptakan oleh band Vitalism. Penyaji menginterpretasikan dan menerapkan berbagai teknik seperti arpeggio, tirando, apoyando, harmonic, rasguedo, appogiatura, sweep picking, tapping, bending, hybrid picking dan speed picking  untuk mewujudkan sebuah pertunjukan yang baik. Kata kunci: Pertunjukan; Gitar Klasik; SolisABSTRACTMusic repertoire from various eras such as modern, Malay and popular are packaged into a guitar solo performance using conventional performance conventions. The repertoire in this performance consists of repertoires from various eras. The first repertoire in the show was the repertoire of the modern era or in the 19th century entitled Sonata No.1 by composer Leo Brouwer which was created in 1990, this work was dedicated by Leo Brouwer to Julian Bream. The second repertor is Dondang Sayang, a Malay song from the State of Malacca created by NN (No Name). The last repertoire is Pagan Part II which was created by the band Vitalism. Presenters interpret and apply various techniques such as arpeggios, tirando, apoyando, harmonics, rasguedo, appogiatura, sweep picking, tapping, bending, hybrid picking and speed picking to create a good performance. Keywords: Performance; Classical Guitar; Solis

Abstract

GGending merupakan bagian yang sangat penting dalam pertunjukan kesenian tradisional Jawa kuda kepang, karena Gending berfungsi sebagai musik yang untuk mengiringi tarian dalam pertunjukan kuda kepang. Kuda kepang telah lama tumbuh dan berkembang di pulau Jawa. Namun kemudian kesenian ini mulai tersebar di luar pulau Jawa sebagai akibat dari difusi kebudayaan, sehingga dimungkinkan terjadi perkembangan Gending dalam pertunjukan kuda kepang di wilayah baru dengan kawasan yang bernama Rimbo Bujang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perkembangan Gending pada pertunjukan kuda kepang di Paguyuban Turonggo Eko Warno Budoyo Desa Tegal Arum Provinsi Jambi. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan sosiologis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pertunjukan Gending di Paguyuban Turonggo Eko Warno Budoyo Desa Tegal Arum Provinsi Jambi mengalami perkembangan dari segi alat musik yang dimainkan mengalami penambahan jumlah dan lagu-lagu yang dimainkan juga mengalami penambahan serta penambahan pemain musik yang muda-muda.ABSTRACTGending is a very important part of the traditional Javanese art performance of Kuda Kepang, because gending functions as music to accompany the dance in the Kuda Kepang show. The braid horse has long been growing and developing on the island of Java. But then this art began to spread outside Java as a result of cultural diffusion, so that it was possible for the development of gending in horse braid performances in a new area called Rimbo Bujang. The purpose of this study was to determine the development of Gending in the horse braid show at the Turonggo Eko Warno Budoyo Association, Tegal Arum Village, Jambi Province. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive analysis research method with a sociological approach. The results of this study indicate that gending performances at the Turonggo Eko Warno Budoyo Association, Tegal Arum Village, Jambi Province experienced developments in terms of the musical instruments being played, experiencing an increase in the number and songs being played also experienced additions and addition of young music players.

Abstract

Pertunjukan solis gitar ini menggabungkan tiga repertoar dari era dan genre yang berbeda, yaitu "Asturias" karya Isaac Albéniz, "Joget Hitam Manis," dan "Tears of an Angel" karya Marty Friedman. Masing-masing repertoar dipilih untuk menggambarkan beragam teknik dan gaya permainan gitar, mulai dari klasik hingga rock instrumental. "Asturias" disajikan dalam format solo gitar dengan menonjolkan teknik arpeggio, rasgueado, dan harmonized yang khas dari musik flamenco Spanyol. Repertoar kedua, "Joget Hitam Manis," adalah lagu Melayu yang diaransemen ulang dengan nuansa jazz, dimainkan dalam format combo band yang menonjolkan teknik slide dan harmoni jazz. Repertoar terakhir, "Tears of an Angel," menampilkan teknik permainan gitar elektrik seperti arpeggio, bending, dan speed picking, yang semuanya menuntut keterampilan teknis dan interpretasi yang tinggi. Melalui pertunjukan ini, solis berusaha untuk menyampaikan nuansa emosional yang berbeda dari setiap repertoar. Hasilnya adalah pertunjukan yang tidak hanya teknis tetapi juga ekspresif, memberikan pengalaman musikal yang mendalam bagi audiens.
