Abstract

The Indonesian economy which experienced positive growth in the last few years has had a positive impact on the development of various other industrial sectors. One that is experiencing significant development is the MICE industary (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions). The MICE industry has an impact on the economy in the form of increased incomes, expanding employment and employment opportunities, and encouraging investment. Cirebon City as part of the Province of West Java has the potential to become one of the MICE venue on a national and international scale. However, development constraints such as infrastructure, workforce readiness, and other driving factors must still be addressed so that the development of MICE destinations can develop in a sustainable manner. The purpose of this research is to provide an example of sustainable tourism through the MICE tourism concept. The methodology in this study uses descriptive analysis by analyzing documents related to the development of Cirebon City MICE through the perspective of sustainable tourism. The results of this study show that the development of the Cirebon City MICE destination is in line with the perspective of sustainable tourism with the following recommendations; reviewing the physical feasibility of the environment, economic viability, and socio-cultural viability.

Abstract

Tourism village destinations are built and opened in addition to increasing the income of local communities and local governments as well as providing a new atmosphere for local and foreign tourists. The Local Government's program to develop tourism villages in Bandung Regency continues to be pursued, but the current managers are faced with managerial ability to manage tourism villages properly by tourism village management standards. This raises research questions about how to develop a management and development village tourism module that applies to village tourism managers to preserve the environment and to elevate the local potential based on local wisdom. This research uses the case study method. The analysis used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of the study recommend 12 topics of learning modules for the management and development of tourism villages which are expected to be able to help tourism village managers to manage their tourism villages well and sustainably. The learning modules are tourism village management, event management, customer satisfaction management, accommodation management, food and beverage management, handicraft management, marketing management, customer behavior, contemporary marketing, human resource management, conflict management, and tourism policy.

Abstract

The tourism development in South Sumatra Province, particularly in Ogan Komering Regency, has excellent potential. Ogan Komering Ilir Regency is a supporting district of Palembang City, with its main attractions being natural, cultural, and creative economy tourism. However, the growth of the tourism industry is separate from physical and non-physical infrastructure development. The physical infrastructure is seen in the inadequate access to tourist destinations. In contrast, the non-physical infrastructure still faces high crime levels due to the lack of physical infrastructure such as street lighting and electricity. This research aims to identify the factors that affect the comfort and safety of tourists visiting Ogan Komering Ilir Regency and to evaluate the efforts made by related stakeholders in addressing these issues. The methodology used in this research is a mixed methodology with descriptive analysis through relevant literature sources. The results of this research show that the level of comfort and safety is the top priority for tourists when visiting a destination. The role of related stakeholders in making and implementing policies is essential.

Abstract

Sumber terkait mengenai teori stakeholder pada industri pariwisata semakin banyak dikaji karena berkaitan dengan keberlanjutan usaha. SDGs poin ke 9 menyebutkan pentingnya keberlanjutan pada lini bisnis atau usaha. Poin tersebut memberikan arahan mengenai “pembangunan infrastruktur yang tangguh, meningkatkan Industri Inklusif dan berkelanjutan, serta mendorong inovasi”. SDGs Kementerian PPN Bappenas. Lingkup pembangunan berkelanjutan pada su bidang ekonomi dan sosial membutuhkan analisis lebih mendalam agar mampu memberikan kontribusi positif pada pembangunan, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan bisnis atau usaha. Berdasarkan teori analisis stakeholder dari Aliekperov (2021) terdapat komponen- komponen yang berpengaruh pada keberlanjutan suatu usaha, yaitu: Supplier, Communities, Competitors, Shareholders, Costumers dan Government. Studi ini menggunakan metodologi riset secara kualitatif dengan sumber data sekunder, objek pada penelitian ini adalah perusahaan waralaba chain restaurant Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi stakeholder yang ada pada usaha chain restaurant terbesar di Indonesia. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan keterkaitan antar komponen- komponen dari stakeholder, sehingga jika salah satu dari komponen tersebut tidak berjalanan dengan baik maka komponen lain akan terganggu.

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of independent Umrah and its impact on the travel business in Indonesia, focusing on two significant provinces: South Sumatra and West Java. This research aims to analyze the factors driving the popularity of independent Umrah and its implications for the dynamics of the travel industry. Primary data was collected through in-depth interviews with three informants: independent Umrah participants, government representatives from the Hajj and Umrah sector at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and travel business operators. Data analysis utilized a qualitative thematic approach to identify patterns and relationships among variables. The findings indicate a significant increase in public interest in independent Umrah, primarily due to its more affordable cost than conventional packages and flexibility in arranging schedules and itineraries. However, this phenomenon has disrupted traditional Umrah travel businesses, which face declining demand and must adapt their marketing strategies. Conversely, general travel business operators have started integrating support services for independent Umrah, such as local transportation rentals and specialist guides, as new business opportunities. The study also highlights regulatory challenges, including potential misuse of travel permits and the need for stricter oversight by relevant authorities. The implications of this research emphasize the need for collaboration among the government, business operators, and communities to create a sustainable, equitable, and Sharia-compliant Umrah travel ecosystem. This study recommends digital-based business model innovations to enhance the competitiveness of conventional travel operators.

Abstract

Sektor pariwisata dijadikan sebagai opsi yang memiliki dampak baik terhadap pertumbuhan perekonomian. Sehingga, kawasan potensial Gunung Puntang diresmikan menjadi daya tarik wisata alam Gunung Puntang atau lebih dikenal dengan Wana Wisata Gunung Puntang. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keinginan untuk mengetahui bagaimana fasilitas dan prasarana objek wisata alam Gunung Puntang mempengaruhi kepuasan wisatawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dan deskriptif. Sebanyak 100 orang disurvei, baik secara online maupun offline, untuk mendapatkan data. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah continuous non-probability sampling. Tim peneliti menggunakan SPSS 25 untuk melakukan uji reliabilitas, validitas, normalitas, T, koefisien korelasi Pearson's product moment, dan regresi linier berganda. Berdasarkan hasil akhir penelitian dan uji T, nilai t hitung variabel fasilitas dan nilai t tabel keduanya adalah 8,150 > 0,163. H1 yang disetujui memberikan bukti lebih lanjut bahwa variabel fasilitas dapat meningkatkan kepuasan wisatawan.
