Abstract

Abstract   Background: Halal certification has become an important factor in the purchasing decisions of Muslim consumers, particularly in Indonesia, where the majority of the population adheres to Islam. Bandung offers a wide variety of food and beverages as a culinary tourism destination. However, not all dining establishments have official halal certification. Objective: This study aims to analyze the influence of halal certification on the loyalty of food and beverage buyers in Bandung, considering factors such as trust in halal certification, clarity of information, and compliance with Islamic law. Method: This study employs a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 96 respondents who are food and beverage buyers in Bandung. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis, along with testing the relationship between halal certification and consumer loyalty using Spearman's Rank Correlation, all conducted through the open-source application JAMOVI. Results: The findings indicate that halal certification significantly affects consumer loyalty (p < 0.05). The dimension of trust in halal certification has the most significant influence on customer loyalty compared to the clarity of halal information or compliance with Islamic law. Consumers who trust halal certification are more likely to make repeat purchases and recommend halal-certified products to others. Conclusion: This study's results demonstrate that halal certification is an important factor in building consumer loyalty in the food and beverage industry in Bandung. It emphasizes the importance of official halal certification for culinary business operators. Future research should consider other variables influencing customer loyalty, such as price and product quality.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of community-based tourism village development policy in Selindung Jerambah Gantung, Pangkalpinang City. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and policy document analysis. Participants included members of the local tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis), community leaders, and tourism office representatives. The findings reveal three central themes: (1) limited community participation and informal management structure, (2) inadequate tourism infrastructure such as boats and docks, and (3) a significant gap between policy planning and on-ground execution. Despite the presence of regulatory frameworks and strategic plans, the policy has not yet been translated into tangible actions aligned with local needs. The study contributes to the discourse on community-based policy implementation and calls for more adaptive and participatory approaches. It also recommends institutional mentoring and the development of basic infrastructure to ensure the sustainability of tourism village initiatives
