Abstract

Background: One of the most common problems in adolescents was iron anemia. In adolescents who experience anemia, it would had very significant effects such as reduced body fitness, decreased learned abilities, suboptimal height, decreased physical abilities and pale faces. Objective: : To analyze the relationship between knowledge levelled, parental income and menstrual patterns with anemia status in young girls at 7th-grade junior high school in Palangka Raya city. Method: The design of this studied was an analytical descriptive with a quantitative cross-sectional studied, a sample of 146 of 1409 population of 7th-grade students spread across 47 schools in the city of Palangka Raya. The instrument used a knowledge questionnaire and a digital hemometer. The analysis used in this studied was the spearman correlation test and multiple logistic regression. Result: : There was a relationship between the leveled of knowledge of anemia and anemia status in young girls at 7th-grade junior high school in Palangka Raya city (p-value=0.0001;r=0.325). There was a relationship between parents' income and anemia status in young girls at 7th-grade junior high school in Palangka Raya city (p-value=0.0001;r=0.392). There was a relationship between menstrual patterns and anemia status in 7th-grade junior high school girls in Palangka Raya city (p-value=0.006;r=0.227). Parents' income factor was the factor that most influences the incidence of anemia in young women (exp. B=8.241). Conclusion: Knowledge was a protective factor which means a protective action in the form of anemia prevention behaviour. Keywords: Anemia Status, Anemia Knowledge; Menstrual Patterns; Parents Income

Abstract

Memilih dan menentukan metode kontrasepsi memang tidaklah mudah, banyak wanita usia subur yang kesulitan menentukan metode kontrasepsi yang akan digunakan, bukan hanya karena terbatasnya jumlah metode kontrasepsi yang tersedia, namun juga karena pengetahuan mereka tentang alat kontrasepsi yang relatif terbatas. Saat menggunakan alat kontrasepsi, banyak faktor yang harus dipertimbangkan, mulai dari kondisi kesehatan, akibat dari kehamilan yang gagal atau tidak diinginkan, jumlah anggota keluarga yang direncanakan, kemungkinan efek samping, kesepakatan pasangan dengan lingkungan, dan norma budaya orang tua. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor pemakaian KB pada Wanita Usia Subur (WUS) di Kota Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Sampel penelitian akan dipilih menggunakan tehnik simple random sampling dengan total 109 responden. Uji statistik menggunakan Chi Square (X2 test 95%). Faktor-faktor pemakaian KB suntik Pada Wanita Usia Subur (WUS) di Kota Palangka Raya adalah umur, pendidikan, pengetahuan, dan dukungan suami.

Abstract

Anemia is a condition caused by low hemoglobin levels in the blood. Anemia often occurs in young women who are growing and lacking iron. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase public awareness and knowledge, especially teenager, about anemia. In an effort to increase public awareness and knowledge about anemia, one of the activities that can be carried out is the selection of anemia ambassadors for teenager at junior high school level. The selection of young women's anemia ambassadors was carried out to select teenager who could be examples and motivators for their friends in preventing and overcoming anemia. The selection of anemia ambassadors for junior high school teenager was carried out using various criteria, such as criteria for knowledge about anemia, criteria for ability to speak in public, criteria for good personality, and criteria for being physically healthy. The selection of ambassadors was carried out over a period of 2 days in August 2023, attended by 18 female students from MTS Al-Amin, Bukit Batu District, Palangka Raya City. The selection of teenager's anemia ambassadors is not only based on physical appearance, but also based on their qualities and abilities. The selection of anemia ambassadors for young women at junior high school level is an effort to increase public awareness and knowledge about anemia, especially among teenager.

Abstract

Epilepsi pada anak dapat menyebabkan gangguan memori jangka pendek yang berdampak pada proses belajar dan perkembangan kognitif. Berdasarkan penelitian terdahulu, ditemukan bahwa salah satu pendekatan terapi komplementer yang dapat digunakan dalam stimulasi fungsi kognitif adalah terapi musik klasik Mozart K.448, karena mampu merangsang aktivitas otak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil dari implementasi terapi musik klasik Mozart K.448, dalam meningkatkan daya ingat dan daya fokus anak epilepsi dengan gejala gangguan memori. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan paparan deskriptif. Subjek penelitian melibatkan 2 anak epilepsi dengan gangguan memori. Intervensi dilakukan selama 6x pertemuan dalam 2 minggu, durasi 10 menit/sesi. Alat ukur memori jangka pendek yang digunakan adalah Digit Span Test Forward dan Short-Term Memory Word Test dalam pre-test dan posttest. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa klien pertama mengalami peningkatan hasil skor memori setelah implementasi, sementara klien kedua tidak menunjukkan perubahan signifikan. Terapi musik klasik Mozart K.448 menunjukkan efek positif terhadap peningkatan daya ingat dan fokus pada anak epilepsi dengan gangguan memori. Intervensi ini berpotensi digunakan sebagai terapi komplementer untuk stimulasi kognitif, namun efektivitasnya masih perlu dikaji lebih lanjut dengan jumlah subjek yang lebih besar dan kondisi lingkungan yang lebih kondusif.

Abstract

Abstrak: Remaja rentan mengalami permasalahan kulit wajah akibat perubahan hormonal dan tingginya paparan informasi perawatan kulit yang belum sepenuhnya dipahami secara kritis. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi dan keterampilan remaja dalam perawatan wajah berbasis bahan alami melalui pendekatan video animasi dan praktik langsung. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri dengan melibatkan 15 siswa sebagai mitra. Metode yang digunakan meliputi edukasi menggunakan video animasi, demonstrasi, dan praktik pembuatan masker wajah berbahan pati beras, bengkuang, dan oatmeal. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan desain pre-test dan post-test sebanyak 10 pertanyaan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan skor total dari 1290 pada pre-test menjadi 1470 pada post-test, atau meningkat sebesar 12%. Selain peningkatan aspek kognitif, peserta juga mampu mempraktikkan secara mandiri seluruh tahapan pembuatan masker wajah alami dengan memperhatikan prinsip keamanan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi video animasi dan praktik langsung efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi dan keterampilan perawatan wajah alami pada remaja.Abstract: Adolescents are a vulnerable group to facial skin problems due to hormonal changes and exposure to skincare information that is not always critically understood. This community service program aimed to enhance adolescents’ knowledge, skills, and independence in natural-based facial skincare. The activity was conducted at SMA Negeri and involved 15 students as participants. The methods included education through animated videos, demonstrations, and hands-on practice in preparing facial masks made from rice starch, yam bean, and oatmeal. Evaluation was carried out using a pre-test and post-test design to assess changes in participants’ understanding. The results showed an increase in total scores from 1290 in the pre-test to 1470 in the post-test, indicating an improvement of 180 points (12%). In addition to cognitive improvement, participants were able to independently perform all stages of facial mask preparation while applying safety principles. These findings suggest that integrating animated video-based education with practical learning is effective in improving adolescents’ knowledge and practical skills in natural facial skincare.
